@@sratus What do you mean really? Sorry that I don’t know the names of everyone who’s ever been a member of Primal Scream- it’s not exactly common knowledge. Guess I’ll just google it
One of the all time great bands. I saw them at The Metro in Chicago on the tour where Kevin Shields was on guitar. Took a massive pull from a one hitter and blasted off into the stratosphere.
Still amazed how they managed sound like a band being catapulted along a wind tunnel while standing still in a studio. Saw them on this tour in 2000, and still have a distant buzz of tinnitus as a memento of it.
Probably the most underrated of their pieces of music. Pure as hell one of my favourites never listened to unless at max volume. Every song is layered and intense.
@foxgirl well if you didn’t catch the wall of noise beggining at 0:09 I don't know what to tell you, plus I didn't say anything about the riff which is clearly not Shields
No it wasn't you dickhead. Plus it's not broadcast live like The Tube was. It's recorded and then edited and in between each band there are pauses and resets.. It's edited to look 'live' /one shot... Same as ITV studios chat shows and game shows. If you go as audience member you'll see.
If memory serves , which it doesn't always , the first song was Let the good Times Roll which was Wymans set opener . All the bands there played a bit of it but Scream started it and for sure one of Wymans horn players said , "How the fuck are we supposed to follow that?"
you should see/hear Pills, also from the same Jools date!! It`s as almost as good as the Live in Japan version (which had the benefit of mad post-show mixing)
The Scream, The Roses and MBV united in one band was a special time
Wait who was there from the Roses?

Best rock n’ roll album of all time.
Saw them on this U.S. tour and it was mind-expanding. Such a great time to be a Scream fan.
Kevin Shields and Primal Scream makes total sense. What a lineup! What a sound!
Gary Mounfield from Stone Roses too.

I jumped onstage at that show!

Excellent lead guitar work by rhythm guitarist Andrew Innes.
Best line up of the "Scream " ... Imo .
Best line up of any band ever pretty much!!
@@robertloader9826yeh they’ve smoked the comp. Which was funny because I really didn’t like em before their revision!

Amazing garage performance
Listening in Heaven, Rock and Roll
Blasting out at a 1000db driving down 200km of straight road!
i love how you can hear the exact moment Kevin begins to play

Andrew innes on guitar ….
primal, 99-01 were untouchable.
Funny to think that, in the year 2000 Oasis were still claiming to be the greatest rock n roll band in the world.
They were the most popular band in the world those years. Tickets sellings don't lie

Fiiiiiiire. Absolute riot!
Unbeatable that🙌
Apparently that was the first song on the show, but after that performance Jools was like, roll the credits boys, we’re done.
Hahah!!

this was TWENTY TWO years ago… man..
In 2000 the best band in the world
Awesome!!!
They were at their best when they had Mani on bass and Kevin Shields producing.
Mani era primals off the radar
Bobby Gillespie's sunglasses were 70% of that broadcast. Guy can't sing for toffee, but the attitude wins.
Attitude and being distinctive is much better in this sort of band than sounding like Mariah Carey
Always thought XTRMNTR was their best album

Fuck having to follow that. Just as well they ran the credits, no band couldve topped that. Love it ❤
Oh my gods
MC5 all the way baby!
This song and band rock like fuck. I remember watching this and head banging like hell on fire. Cheers boys.
Its a good Detroit spin for sure.
Innes's guitar on this is unreal
Fuck yeah !! Rock n roll !!

And that, snowflakes, is how you fucking well rock.
I liked that album. Wankers though. Fact
Back then these wankers brought me into a venue during soundcheck with my a flagon of cider.
No, shite.
Brits singing in fake American accents is pure cringe.
Except hes not British and I'm not sure how this would sound in a glaswegian accent ahahaha
I wish you would go and tell that to Joe Elliott from Def Leppard.

How is that in any way an American accent?
Fucking A!!!!
