Due to the nature of the topics covered and discussion/criticism of companies + brands in the sewing industry, it is challenging to monetize this channel. Most influencer contracts require a non-disparagement clause, meaning you can't say anything negative or even remotely critical about the brand. This is a large reason why you don't see a lot of reporting on the sewing + crafts industry. Remaining as independent as possible allows me to maintain editorial + creative freedom.
I am so sorry to hear you were sick. I hope you are feeling better now. A couple of years ago my daughter got sick after eating a lunch able. We had bought it the same day she ate it. Had to take her to urgent care.
There's so much recalls going on right now. You have to be careful with everything. Let the store know. Take it back.
Ok well when I saw the headline, I thought...hmmmm. After hearing that it was lunchmeat from Kroger...here's what happened to me about two (?) years ago now. I was shopping at the local Kroger and picked up some pre-sliced ham in a stand alone refrigerated case (no closed top) that had a lighting fixture above it. Didn't think anything about it. Took the lunchmeat home, ate two slices and hours later, was so sick I was delirious for a time. My daughters had to take me to the emergency room. I figured that it was due to the refrigerated case that the meat was stored in not being cold enough to keep bacteria from growing. Needless to say, I no longer purchase lunchmeat from that store, or items housed/stored in that way. IF i get lunchmeat, it's from the items kept in the enclosed deli/butcher counter and sliced to order. Glad you're ok. 😀
As soon as I saw the package, I said "yep". Sorry about that.
Right after taking that photo, it went in the trash.
@@sewingreportlive The one thing I won't order through grocery anymore is meat. When I got covid, I had to shop that way but I found that they leave the groceries out for a while. So while the expiration date was fine, I bet that it wasn't kept at the proper temperature from the time they pulled it from the fridge until it was picked up. My rule for lunchmeat in particular is always get it freshly sliced and discard after day 4, no matter what the best buy date says on the store package. Glad you're feeling better.
Especially milk, it expires 2-3 weeks before sell by date.
If you ate any lettuce on it, that was much more likely to be the cause
