awesome video...I feel really lame that Washington is where I grew up and started mountain biking in the late 90's then I stopped biking for many years. Moving back to WA soon and I am going to travel every where I wanted to ride before and explore more, life is too short not to be outside! Orcas island looks awesome!
New to the sport and the state, I was a bit hesitant on making a send all the way out here. However, your video made this trip very digestible and pretty stoked to see a ton of variety in the terrain. Thanks for the great video.
Something important to note is the lower trails actually allow riding all year round. I put most of those trails on Trailforks and there's an image I included with the trails that are open year round. Though they aren't the fast and flowy steep ones, they're still available for some beautiful XC riding on the island. Good work!
Great video, although I was really looking forward to a few shots of the powerline jumps and tech. Such a fun trail system. And some great B&B's on the Island if your significant other isn't a fan of camping but is willing to shuttle you :)
Rad! Thanks for much for your feedback. I'll be sure to add in some Powerline next time it's open. Agreed on the B&B's, that's definitely the solution for my sig fig :)
Great video! They don't give us much time to ride it! I thought they had the date sign reversed May - Sept seems realistic...but nope! If you ever go to Dallas, the best trail in Dallas is the 'Grapevine Trail' ... it's also just about the ONLY MTB trail in Dallas!! :) But, if you go there ... there are a LOT of people in Dallas (25M in DFW) and that trail is ridden continuously by every MTB'er in the vicinity (probably thousands daily...it's crazy). You'd get a LOT of views out of it is my point (if you're seeking views that is). I also want to go to MOAB and do some riding - if you go there. I rode Raging River the other day and crashed really bad on my way down!! :( Resting for a few weeks...thankfully no broken bones. I took off near that park bench half way down and hit the whoops wrong! Would be nice to see a video where you rank your top 10 local trails. Keep up the great work!
@@ClaireJencks awesome! Let me know when, I live in Olympia so not far from the forest. I just got my first bike and been up there once on the north trails

We miss you Claire! Get back on the trails!
Thank you so much, this means a huge amount to me. I’ll be out there soon!
Orcas Powerline laps are some of the best in the state! Need to get out there again this summer.
They really are the best!
This is cool and useful content that really stands out in the oversaturated world of MTB UA-cam. Hope you continue to make videos!
Thank you Claire!
Thank YOU!

Yeah! Stoked to get out here next week
Hope it was fun!
@@ClaireJencks Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to orcas, but I definitely got my fill elsewhere! Next time I'm up there lets ride!
Can't wait to ride out here!
Powerline is your jam - can’t wait to hear what you think! 💎💎💎
Great video, going there this weekend. Nice to get a video tour!
Have fun!

That was awesome 👏 too bad I missed it! Next time...Subbed great 👍 content
Thanks, Mason! I'd definitely recommend checking it out in September. Taking a long weekend when the summer crowds are gone is primo!
@@ClaireJencks sweet we’ll do appreciate it👏👌💯

That looks so good! I'll have to remember it for September, some friends bought property there. You need to come ride Angel's Staircase with me.
Totally down. ✅🔥
Great video!

Love both of these suggestions! Thank you so much!
cool video 👍
Thank you!
Great video! These are always so helpful thank you. Can you do one on the trails in Capitol state forest?
Glad these are helpful! Happy to do Capitol! Thanks for reaching out! 🙌

Awesome vid! When I visited Orcas last August my Ferry was like 4 hours late on the ride out :|
Aw, those summertime ferries! Thanks for the shout-out, I'm so glad to have you along for the ride!
I need to try this
Do ittttt
Hey, that's my red and black 26" Enduro in the back of the shuttle truck! You had worked for Blackmouth right?
Yes! Haha good eye! Love Blackmouth!
Very cool Claire! Do you have any suggestions for camping near the trails?
Yes absolutely! Moran State Park has fantastic camping 🏕. Also, Airbnb and hip camp have some options on Orcas as well.
Another great video! What time of year did you go to film this?
Thanks for watching! Filmed it a few weeks ago :)
@@ClaireJencks That's what I thought. Awesome weather you got lucky!!!
