- Album: Bad Luck Blues, Smokin' Gun is a high energy roadhouse blues band working in the US Northwest since 1992. The band's line-up includes duel lead guitars, bass, drums and lead vocalist. Their independent release, "Bad Luck Blues", features a diet of primarily hard-drivin' Southern flavored blues-rock. The guitars are strong throughout the CD, delivering plenty of potent blues-rock riffs. Vocals are distinctive, roughly approximated by combining the singing styles Clarence Spady, Popa Chubby, and James Mangrum (Black Oak Arkansas).

Almost midnight, sipping from a white wine, looking out of my window while the sound of this great bluessong waves itself through the room. It is pitch dark, beside some stars that seems so far away. In the distance I hear the siren of an ambulance and I hope the one they are going to get is gonna make it. Somehow a kind of melancholy seizes me. Listening to this song I close my eyes and let it hug me. The only thing I can do is give in to this blues and somehow this bittersweet moment almost brings me to tears. I realize that it is a good thing, because that is what good (blues) music can do to you..... Hi Don, wish you and all the blueslovers from all over the world a great week to come. 💕

Don's Tunes Thanks Don, I’ve enjoyed it ehhh....a hundred times or so now! I finally figured out where I was then: in the middle,(?) of the deepest process of grief I have ever experienced in my life! Was 3-4 months past completing “THE MOST” rewarding, grueling, wonderful, heartbreaking, fulfilling ministry/mission of my life; caring for my Alzheimers stricken mother for the last 5 years of her self-sacrificing, giving and often TOUGH life! With the help of God Almighty I was determined that my momma would never see the inside of a nursing home! HE honored that wish with strength that I do not possess on my own!.
