YES! I realy hope it has some good edge of breakup tones with the gain down. Usually like to run my amp like that, then BLAST it with clean boosts to make it break up.
Would be cool, but I'm guessing this and the Friedman mini BE are the amp-in-a-box pedal grafted to a solid state power section right? I guess they could perhaps adapt the SLO Synergy module...
Hey leon pretty off topic, but i came up with this really neat george lynch tone recipe i think youd like, it is an ada mp1 preset 12 boosted with a proco rat, and a sde1000 with a 340ms delay, i think you have all of this gear (minus the rat) and would love to see a video on it
Love that you keep being brought on to review these - great series and great idea by the manufacturers. Based on B.A.D's lineup, I'm waiting for the Soldano :)
As far as I know these are effectively the pre-amp pedals put into a small head shell with a power amp and other features attached. BE-OD became the BE Mini The Ecstacy pedal became the Ecstasy Mini And the VH4 Pedal became this. Soldano doesn't produce an SLO pedal however, that doesn't mean we won't see and SLO.
Wow really would love one for my office for lunch time jams! Would pair well with my Vox mini and Engl Ironball and can use cost savings toward a larger Diezel Herbert MK3!
Excellent demo! Thanks for posting. Personally, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the tones in the isolated clips. But, man did it sound good doubled and mixed in the track. Would love to see some back to back comparisons of this with the other minis like the Friedman and Bogner, and whatever else BAD ends up putting out. Maybe even a Mini vs Synergy showdown. Let’s get nuts with it! 😂
The song you play is so addicting to listen too, I want more, please tell me it exists as a full track somewhere!!! This CANNOT just be an off the cuff improvisation jam, but then again, you ARE Leon Todd. If it is, record a full track now! It brought me right back to the early 2000s when metal core was king! Reminded me of early black dahlia murder, as I lay dying, killswitch etc… Love it!!!
don't know if it's intentional but some of the harmonized parts in the beginning of the vid evoke a Dimebag feel. really digging the tone, not just because of that though. Diezel has always delivered.
I like the idea of all these class-d mini amps coming out. Cool and collectable if you have the extra discretionary income, or looking for your first cool head/cab combination. But in the end, if you already have a decent tube amp, there are plenty of really good "amp in a box" type pedals on the market that represent all these amps so far. Tomato/Tomahto
@@TheCyberMantis I think they fun, but overpriced. I like BE-OD pedal for it versatility and compatibility with almost any amp. But head is very limited...
This is a pedal in a bigger box, because of the amplifier... They will sell a lot because of the brand cult and people's naivety... It will soon end up collection dust in the corner. Just saying... Let's be real for a moment. 😄
Thought I would mention that when I run my VG99 through the effects loop and plug my GK ready guitar into the VG99 it bypasses the dirty input on the front of the amp and gives a 100% clean channel.
This is cool, but I definitely preferred the Bogner. When you plugged it into the Apollo from the fx send, was it still connected to a cab as well?, or just the head connected by itself to the interface?
It tracked better than the herbert synergy module somewhat. And both beg for a boost, slightly broken up sound (under hi gain). But playing is top notch.
For a moment, I could hear Phil Lynott singing over the opening track, sounds like something that could have been on Thunder and Lightning ⚡. Love the harmony lines.
Hey Leon, really appreciate your videos. Should be great if you could do a video on the Diezel VHX. perhaps a complete all in one 80’s sound solution? Thanks for all your content 🙏
That sounds pretty shred-a-lishous little amp, I love how companies bring out mini amps, I have a orange micro terror but definitely want to try others👍🤘
Great video🤟 ...but you have to glue the little amp with the box😎....and I feel these little mini amps sounds ok but less bottom end...they sound small....
Man. You just get better and better as a guitarists man. I'm jealous of your legate skills. 🤣🤟♥️ Just killer. You are one focused individual sir. That's a compliment brother. Very cool.. 🤟♥️🤟 That amp has such a unique tone. Not my exact cup of tea, but still very cool. 🤟♥️. I still am a Soldano guy at heart. Plenty of gain is my type of amp. Ride the lightning is my motto. 🤣🤟♥️🤣 Hope you and yours are well my Aussie brother. ♥️🤟♥️🤟♥️🤟♥️🤟♥️
Great demo Leon! You make that little thing sound great! All these companies seem to be doing these little micro amps now. But I have to say, it's hard to go with one of these things, when you can get a Boss Katana Mk-2 head for close to the same price. $329 vs $349. With the Katana, you get so much more of everything.
I get the impression that a Blackstar HT series amp could sound way better. You did a great job demoing it but in the end it sounds not very powerful on its own. Yeah, double tracking helps to let even a mediocre amp sound better than it does.
They really need to release these as a stomp box, no amplifier section. Id love to run something like these into a effects return. I know these could be run into a FX return, and even though they arent huge, id rather have them in pedal size.
In every dictionary… the definition for “filthy” should say “also see: Diezel” at the bottom. That little thing is bonzo. I can’t imagine having something like that when I was growing up. You kids are lucky!
Soldano mini needs to happen next - agreed?
YES! I realy hope it has some good edge of breakup tones with the gain down. Usually like to run my amp like that, then BLAST it with clean boosts to make it break up.
Well, they have the SLO-30, don't think that will happen...

I'm a lucky boy! So many fun toys
They've done a diesel micro, a bogner micro, and a Friedman micro, all boutique amp distribution companies, fingers crossed they do a soldano one
Is this being made at the same factory as the Bogner & Freidman mini's?
@@SolarWarden88 yes

This was a really cool format! Really appreciated as I imagine it’s a lot of editing 👏
Thanks for the IR's maannnnn!!! Awesome! thank you thank you!
Great video! That opening tune is a dark power metal tune. Great stuff Leon. Rockin!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘

Well done LT! Cool mix, Nice Tones and Fine Amp! ( Cute little bugger)
Enjoyed your efforts this Morning!
Thanks for sharing and Be Well All!
I use the VH4 pedal for basically just this in my rack. The VH sound is so unique and awesome. I do love the VH with a TS boost though for metal.
Yeah I didn't know whether to do some clips with it boosted or not but I figured a lot of people will just use this as a fun "plug and play".
That first opening riff on the Diezel VH Micro was absolutely disgusting!!! Love it! 🤘🤘

Right lol Leon can do anything from blues to classic rock to hair metal shred to metalcore to 90s grunge and thrash metal
don't know if it's intentional but some of the harmonized parts in the beginning of the vid evoke a Dimebag feel.
really digging the tone, not just because of that though. Diezel has always delivered.
This is very well dialed in.
That thing shines in a mix!
Vox made the MV line which are just as good
Christ, this sounds sick as hell! Would be mad if they do a Herbert mini...
This one isn't my style, but you did a great job demoing it.
Brutal little monster!
CRAZY Awesome! Best mini head to date.

Also great if you want to approximate the tone of these amps at lower volume.
These 30w SS mini heads all lack clarity. This one sounds super fuzzy
Yeah, I don't like them either. And they are kinda pricey for what you get.

These mini heads all are very cool but I really can't get over the laptop style power bricks they use :(
That said, your demo riffs are 🤘

This micro vs the Or micro dark? Anyone...?
Let the filth loose! 👍
i have diezel vh series solid state 120 watt
Over my head......
Oh wow... that thing has a LOT of gain. And it appears to sell for around $329 US from vendors on Reverb. I want one.

Any standard guitar cabinet.
