Elvis's daddy Vernon Presley. Elvis loved him. He adored his daddy so much. Despite the fact that Vernon hadn't been well and Elvis knew that but his love for his daddy is like no other father and son bond.
Heartbreaking to watch vernon so deeply grieving after Elvis’s death. Vernon divorced his 2nd wife Dee 3 months after Elvis died. Vernon grieved himself to death he died two years after Elvis. It’s sad because Elvis’s evil stepmom went and wrote the most horrible books about Elvis she blamed him for Vernon divorcing her so what better way to get revenge than to write horrible lies. Elvis was not only the greatest singer but the most generous compassionate man. I will always love Elvis
Yeah, don’t forget, Vernon had to deal with Ginger and her mother Jo Ann suing the Elvis estate which also took affected Vernon, knowing how well and how much Elvis gave to that Family yet, to sue Elvis estate in court on promises Elvis made them. It’s all on line google Alden vs Presley. Sick people
POEM ELVIS HAD DONE FOR HIS DADDY --- TO DAD - CHRISTMAS 1976 Elvis commissioned family friend Janelle McComb to write something special for him to give his father Vernon for Christmas 1976. It was presented nicely framed. This is the text: I not only live for today but for the day after today. I have pursued my vision and reached the mountain top. But the peak of a mountain can be a lonely place. I want to thank you for understanding. I learned early in life that only by filling my existence with an aim, could I find an inner peace. I want to thank you for giving me intangible gifts. You gave me gifts from your heart - understanding, tolerance and concern. You gave me gifts of your mind - purpose, ideas and projects. You gave me gifts of your words - encouragement, empathy and solace. Respect is avid; it wants to contain everything and to retain everything. To you my father - my friend - my confidante, I have an avid respect. Thanks for always being near the top of the mountain when I needed you. Your son, Elvis
You know what? You're right. He had his daddy's full hair, too. One of the Memphis Mafia said that Vernon had a wonderful singing voice. Larry Geller, Elvis' hairstylist, said that Elvis had great hair.
@afaceinthecrowd1983 there was plenty factual about the film, only a couple of events appeared out of the timeline or they were plain ignored for the sake of the duration.

I will never be able to understand why Elvis' dad protected and spoke good about Tom Parker, which was not even his real name. Parker was a huge gambler and so how in the world can Vernon say that Parker was a "good man"? Geez. He stole and wasted millions and millions of dollars on his selfish ways.
He didn't necessarily know any of that. He had rose colored glasses on and that is how Parker manipulated them all. Facts about him mostly came out after Elvis's death.
They didn't necessarily know the extent of Parker's dealings until after Elvis died. The first interview was June 1977, so Elvis was still alive. I believe the 50% contract the fake colonel weedled out of Elvis in 1967, while he was severely concussed and vulnerable, was only discovered when the courts appointed Blanchard Tual to act as trustee of the estate. Priscilla the witch had kept Parker on at 50% and they were both draining the estate & Lisa-Marie's inheritance. We know Parker had stolen personal effects to open his own museum with Elvis's things. Much like how Priscilla has stolen his personal belongings to auction for lining her pockets the last 50 years. Unfortunately they didn't block her from the estate. And the fake colonel refused to accept his summons to court to answer for his hefty fees and exploitation of Elvis, becauae he said he was stateless and not a US citizen, so he didn't have to attend. Nobody knew this at the time, is my understanding (I still have some further reading to do on that subject).
3:05 Colonel Parker was an honest man??? Wow, either Vernon was totally snowed, or he deliberately chose to ignore all the bad stuff that went down. If the recent movie is accurate, he didn't really even stand up for his son much.
@deanhuff1175 Parker and Priscilla weren't the only ones in Elvis's orbit, who took advantage of him financially. Elvis surrounded himself with family and "friends" who were Yes people. Elvis provided them with not only jobs/money, but furnished them also with homes, land, vehicles/cars, etc. The house/land that Vernon mentions as his own, which met Graceland's property, was purchased by Elvis for Vernon. Vernon's record in being able to keep a job was pretty poor. Before Elvis made it big, the Presleys were living in Lauderdale Courts, a low income public housing complex in Memphis. Think Parker, the con man, quickly saw Vernon's weakness/fear of everlasting poverty, and used that to his advantage in how he talked to him, and to Elvis.
Near the end of video you will see two figures walk by the window....years back there were story's saying that was Elvis and the Colenel walking by.... Proof that Elvis was still alive...lol
Southerners have a unique charisma. 🎸
Vernon was Elvis's Daddy. Elvis loved his Daddy Vernon Presley. And his mother Gladys.

Vernon had a good head of hair for an older man. The Presley men weren’t bald, lol.
Toupee... look closely.
Nice sideburns also..
You can see in the last video that this was a father in deep grief. So sad.

You can tell where Elvis got his voice from. They sound a lot a like
You could tell that was so hard for him to do. I'm glad Elvis had a good father.
Thanks elvis.
Elvis was a good man amongst other things a very giving soulful person . Full of happiness it’s a shame he let drugs take him over
He was so broken after losing elvis. It must have been hard to make that speech

The Colonel had Vernon SNOWED.
Elvis had his Daddy's head and bone structure but his Mama's face.

Strange how two ordinary people can make such an extraordinary one.
@@KD_1989 Very true! There’s no one that looks like elvis.

Vernon really like that jacket.
Vernon actually paid all the bills and tracked all expenses for EAP Enterprises. If people are wondering how he knew all of those granular details.
If the recent movie was accurate, he didn't do a very good job at all, but then again the fake colonel was behind the whole mess

2 months after he died.
Tv special needed more time so Elvis last concert song was not interrupted ?
Had Vernon more children after he remarried ?
No but his new wife brought 3 sons into the marriage
I didn't realise Vernon had a gap in his front teeth.
His second wife already had kids
