She's against a 15-year temporary restriction on Iranian nuclearization that was in the Iranian deal, But something's telling me she didn't object to the temporary ceasefire that Israel offered in exchange for the hostages. But maybe that's just whataboutism
@aliadee6859 There's a difference!!! There's an active war between Israel & Hamas resulting in among worst humanitarian catastrophes plus civilian casualities!!!
@@nunereclipsereborn I know. let me be more clear. The humanitarian crisis in the gaza strip will continue after a few weeks under the temporary ceasefire that she supports. At the same time, he's also against temporary denuclearization for the same reason that I would want permanent ceasefire instead of a temporary one, which is that the thing you don't want to happen continues, it just continues a little later.
This woman has her Juris Doctorate, an expert in Iranian history and would be an assett in being one of the advisors to Trump re: Iran and the Middle East.
It is rare and refreshing to see friendly debate in good faith... I appreciate that Zack shows great curiosity and openness towards Elica's views. All around super!
Whataboutism: interviewing Putin critically about his invasion of Ukraine. His response: “Well, what about Israel?” Dave Smith: if you’re talking about violations of sovereignty as a fundamental issue at stake, then let’s see whether you actually believe that sovereignty is the issue at stake. She then engaged in Whataboutism, ironically, because she was more interested in airtime than consistency.
I don’t understand her argument. I think she got backed into a corner and she’s doubling down for no reason. The real question should be are these people good or bad and How are we influencing things. I feel like Dave kept focus and she is trying to win an argument.
Those in the comment section who mock Elica, would have all their "criticism" and questions answered had they just actually paid attention and heard her out. She doesn't make sense only when what she says doesn't fit your narrative and you have no intention in understanding her point (implicitly assuming your narrative may not be the only one, or The Correct One).
i saw the piers morgan video of this and Elica is just hot headed, need-last-word, type of person who actually doesn't understand what dave was saying at all also, just off topic, why is she licking her mouth like she's the joker?
I’ve never seen this woman before her debate but she was making the most bad faith arguments I’ve ever seen. She cut Dave off but then got mad at him for interrupting when he just wanted to finish his point. Just bad form all around. Not to mention she was screaming whataboutism 2 seconds after she did a “whataboutism” herself with the Houthi thing. Ridiculous.
There are very few people that want to have serious conversations. Even fewer in the media. I felt bad for Dave in that interview but he did great as usual.
Can someone not be happy about the Houthis trying to allow food aid into Palestine but also find them disgraceful for how they treat their own people? Is it possible that the people of Yemen support getting aid into Palestine but do not support the Houthis themselves?
Houthis are not the yemeni people in their entirety ofcourse No one came close to starving in gaza Aid in its current form is a lifeline to the people holding babies hostage
Iranian influencers are trying so hard to be relevant lately. they're getting some attention for the first time in their life. this war has been great for them to run their mouths.
Dave is pretty common sense on foreign policy, never really found him to be biased or way off. Libertarianism is another story but anti war is the only position
No, it’s not or we would be all speaking German right now and there would be no religions. Sometimes war is the only way to be free. As Romans said - if you want peace, prepare for war. Si Vis pacem para bellum. If people thinking like you prevail, you’ll see How wrong you were in your lifetime.
I’ll simplify it, whatever group, strongman, or regime, signed an American contract, and is receiving U.S. money. Well, then they become the leader the US media supports, and the political and the military fall in line. For example, Afghanistan when the Taliban said they’d honor all contracts of the previous Afghan government. The US said cool, we outta here. And left.
I comp pretty agree with Elica. The whole thing of go all in or leave it alone with sanctions is truly the only way to change the issues in Yemen or Iran. It’s no different than the any other country in the past. When the people of the country get tired enough of tyranny they will uprise and make the necessary changes. Sometimes it takes hundreds of years sometimes it takes just a few. In the grand scheme of things, the destabilization of the entire Middle East has much to do with the military industrial complex. Not just the US, but the UN.
Apple makes more money than the "military industrial complex". Blaming everything on a shadowing organization reeks of the same conspiratorial thinking antisemites engage in. We might as well start talking about the illuminati.
THIS CHANNEL HAS ALMOST A MILLION SUBS BUT ONLY HAS ONE VIDEO IN THE LAST MONTH ABOVE 100K VIEWS. HOW DO YOU NOT SEE THIS IS A PROBLEM? START MAKING CONTENT PEOPLE ACTUALLY WANT TO WATCH!!!
"Did you know that every sanction regime ends just days before a regime change" is quite the argument from Elica. She probably thinks that if we just stayed in Afghanistan for a little while longer than the Taliban wouldn't have retaken the country.
Most I meet love Europe Israel but they aren’t so happy with the USA they told me some love USA some don’t. But these who I meet mostly disliked their own government the most

He was a demigod and economic illiterate going around the legislature, who angered and alienated everyone else and so began turning to the communist party, backed directly by the Soviet Union, then he got couped. Which was supported by, not directed by the USA and UK. It was homegrown.
Iranians disliking the USA because of the coup and the narrative that removed their native hand was a retroactive justification made in the run-up to the revolution.
@akoben Radical Islam has been a problem even before the Revolutionary War!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Huh? Before it gets to 50% it is at 40%
Doesnt pop up from nowhere
Elica is a very interesting debater and extremely beautiful!!
Is this John Bolton's daughter?
His depiction of the war is wrong
Let her speak! Ugh you are just proving her point that you think you know what’s better for her people than she does. 🤦🏻♀️. I’m so tired of this western savior complex’s. Listen to the people !!!
Big words like "logical fallacy", "their premise", "deflection", and "contradiction". She is using all these words wrong and she's thinks she made some kind of big point but she's just talking gibberish. Dave handed it to her, cry me a river Elica.
She’s not talking gibberish. She’s talking truth. And that you don’t get it, tells me something about you. You are supporting terrorists like Dave.
Just admit you were intelligently destroyed and should probably not debate anyone over the age about 25
Reason's become buzzfeed
Every time they drop a video like this, I get more disappointed thinking about what they once were
They legit hate Dave Smith, and will take any avenue to smear him.
@@dtskicks I don’t think all of them hate Dave but some of the higher ups definitely do. When Dave was on this podcast last time Liz said every time she talks to Dave he turns her more an-cap
@@bigz5262 every time he goes on Reason it always seems like he's introducing them to libertarianism for the first time lmao
@@DiogoSilva-qn8qo lol that’s honestly a perfect way to describe it
Has the Persian lady had lip surgery?
lips and nose. That is the only iranian thing about her. Surgery
more lip filler than common sense
Dave pointed out hypocrisy...and it triggered the hypocrite
She was making a focused point, not a general one. She was attempting to focus on a specific.
👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Elica is completely out of her depth here. Likewise her discourse on Pal/Isr is fraught with misinformation, bias and propaganda. Why she continues to be platformed is something we need to be asking.
Dr Phil is impressed by her.
Yes you have convinced me
If I ever need a lawyer, I want Le Bon.
Dave Smith completely ended her entire career in 1 minute
Only if you have room temperature IQ.
0/10 trash debate. They just argue over definitions
The overwhelming majority of debates are over definitions whether the opponents realize or not.
My god that is boring. @@tann_man
Erica LeBon is great smart beautiful and usually right
Dave was right about explaining whataboutism, and Elica Le Bon says don't interrupt but she interrupted others most of the time 😂
She's against a 15-year temporary restriction on Iranian nuclearization that was in the Iranian deal, But something's telling me she didn't object to the temporary ceasefire that Israel offered in exchange for the hostages.
@@aliadeeb6859 Iran is the one of the culprits that help funded Hamas' attack on Israel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
10 years - would be in 18 months
Nevermind the girls of Iran then
She has no clue what Dave said at the time or now.
This critical thinking leads us to a better-informed view of the facts. Thank you
This woman has her Juris Doctorate, an expert in Iranian history and would be an assett in being one of the advisors to Trump re: Iran and the Middle East.
It is rare and refreshing to see friendly debate in good faith... I appreciate that Zack shows great curiosity and openness towards Elica's views. All around super!
I don’t ever want to be on the opposite side of an issue with Her.
Dave was a saint for going on that panel with those screeching harpies
I love Dave, he's super smart and fair!!!
His depiction of the war is wrong
Whataboutism: interviewing Putin critically about his invasion of Ukraine. His response: “Well, what about Israel?”
Dave Smith: if you’re talking about violations of sovereignty as a fundamental issue at stake, then let’s see whether you actually believe that sovereignty is the issue at stake. She then engaged in Whataboutism, ironically, because she was more interested in airtime than consistency.
"He or many people say" He never said that you liar
Elica is really hot!
Elica ate and left no crumbs
Why do I keep giving this channel additional views? The pseudo-intellectualism is exhausting. I think I'm fooled by the channel name: "Reason"
I don’t understand her argument. I think she got backed into a corner and she’s doubling down for no reason. The real question should be are these people good or bad and How are we influencing things. I feel like Dave kept focus and she is trying to win an argument.
Her argument is that the discussion was about iran/isreal. That bringing up Yemens civil war with the houthis is not the topic of discussion.
Agree with Erica LeBon - end trade deals any negotiation with Iran\
Where's the libertarian party? I thought we were going to see some movement after they cleaned out the old guard.
Yes humsn tendency to justify ones opinions or perceptions
Elica Le Bon is a class act. 💜
Why do the Iranian people stop protesting just because the US returns their confiscated wealth?
It went to the mullahs, then to oct7
Are there no protests being suppressed by mullahs
Whataboutism is almost always defeated by "Why not both?"
You were fantastic. Thanks
i saw the piers morgan video of this and Elica is just hot headed, need-last-word, type of person who actually doesn't understand what dave was saying at all
also, just off topic, why is she licking her mouth like she's the joker?
6:18 What contribution US … 6:54 Houthis… [pointing finger] or just click description and then "Show transcript" and read for yourselves.
This woman is slow
I’ve never seen this woman before her debate but she was making the most bad faith arguments I’ve ever seen. She cut Dave off but then got mad at him for interrupting when he just wanted to finish his point. Just bad form all around. Not to mention she was screaming whataboutism 2 seconds after she did a “whataboutism” herself with the Houthi thing. Ridiculous.
A lot of lips but good for a few things.
Dave Smith is the AOC of so called comedians.
There are really a lot of people in the comment section who reseeeeally don't like what they're hearing 😂😂
There are very few people that want to have serious conversations. Even fewer in the media. I felt bad for Dave in that interview but he did great as usual.
Mr. Legion of Skanks. Dave is really going up in the world.
One groups behavior doesn't excuse another groups behavior towards others. It is irrelevant to the issue with the Houthis of what the US has done.
she lost, L. and she has duck lips.
Can someone not be happy about the Houthis trying to allow food aid into Palestine but also find them disgraceful for how they treat their own people? Is it possible that the people of Yemen support getting aid into Palestine but do not support the Houthis themselves?
Houthis are not the yemeni people in their entirety ofcourse
No one came close to starving in gaza
Aid in its current form is a lifeline to the people holding babies hostage
Remy is the only thing of value on this channel anymore. You guys are embarrassing yourselves. Just stop it. Get some help.
*Screams and dominates conversation like a hysterical banshee
Me, an intellectual: Yes, this is what well reasoned argument sounds like
*Puffs on pipe
Can we please stop inventing logical "logical felices" that are logical felices?
Iranian influencers are trying so hard to be relevant lately. they're getting some attention for the first time in their life. this war has been great for them to run their mouths.
I’m sorry, especially because I’m not particularly found of Dave smith but this chick got absolutely cooked… it was hard to watch
She “deeply “ enjoys Dave
Interesting - when asked about what should the US do now, she brings up 7th century Muslim history, while complaining about whataboutism
Islam's goals haver not changed since the 7th century.
His depiction of the war is wrong
He is far too tolerant to any and all forms of Islam. He likes to ignore Jihad existing within Islam for all of time.
And left.
Why are we listening to a social media influencer who can't stop playing with her hair?
Elica is 100% correct.
THIS CHANNEL HAS ALMOST A MILLION SUBS BUT ONLY HAS ONE VIDEO IN THE LAST MONTH ABOVE 100K VIEWS. HOW DO YOU NOT SEE THIS IS A PROBLEM?
START MAKING CONTENT PEOPLE ACTUALLY WANT TO WATCH!!!
Elica got destroyed intellectually
These western dudes capping for Is lam is very suspish
cringe
"Did you know that every sanction regime ends just days before a regime change" is quite the argument from Elica. She probably thinks that if we just stayed in Afghanistan for a little while longer than the Taliban wouldn't have retaken the country.
ReasonTV can you not "make stupid people famous"? Thx.
all the Iranians that I've personally met , genuinely hate west and western lifestyle. is that just my luck or an actual reality ?
Yeah i am also sortof leaning this way:
No injustice outside of the US
The US started it all
Even before 1776
Most I meet love Europe Israel but they aren’t so happy with the USA they told me some love USA some don’t. But these who I meet mostly disliked their own government the most
