Ridiculously it's a form of " Constructive Dismissal"... except by the Government ..not his employer. So we prefer to pay someone benefits rather than have them gainfully employed.
People you need to stand up and refuse to pay it, storm the streets around where Khan lives, unless everyone takes actions now, the precedent has been set, so that the mayor and councils can do exactly what they want, and invent new taxes. Our rights are being taken away day by day. If people are worried about doing anything because they have things to lose, then by the time you take action, you won't have anything to lose. Why is Khan the mayor anyway, he isn't a Christian, he is making way for an Islamic state, and by doing nothing, we are being complicit in helping with that.
This government would have your blood if they wanted it, we get absolutely battered with taxes on every level and the money is spent very frivolously in and on certain areas whilst the average hard working citizen gets squeezed more and more and the rich get richer and richer! This is not a fair world we live in and I suppose I always knew that from a young age😢
This is just the start in my opinion, there is going to be a lot of people and businesses affected by this for no valid reason. Let's hope it get's scrapped as soon as possible.
The law which says you mustn't be discriminated against is called the Equality Act 2010. Discrimination which is against the Equality Act is unlawful. If you've experienced unlawful discrimination, you can take action about it under the Act. The poorest are being discriminated against, so its unlawful . (Sugar tax anyone ?).
Paying does not fix the problem, not having non compliant vehicles in the area apparently will. I feel sorry for those that live within the area and those that are on such a low wage they cannot afford to change. Even those that can afford to change should not be forced into it. The government of the day pushed diesels and now owners are being penalised that own cars of that era. Does Khan care, no of course not.
Yet, if you can afford a 'classic' car, I'm assuming they aren't brilliant with emissions, you don't get charged the £12.50. Now then, what class of people can afford to maintain (and buy) a 'classic' car?? Ah....it's coming to me........the rich and wealthy ( yes I understand some other 'classes' of people have classics but that's because, usually, they have no choice)..................
My advice to this gentleman, is to relax and do not panic. One door closes, another will open. Be optimistic. It helped me throughout my life. And worrying, did nothing. But… a cup, or pot of tea, and some biscuits always do. You are in my prayers, my brother.
It is the right idea, but it's too expensive. It should be £6.50 max. Plus, the scrappage scheme. I am a huge fan of Sadiq Khan, but this is hurting too many people, as is the poor air quality - we need a compromise.
Can you understand how this could be seen by those in east London as a way to price them out of the capital and then say they need more immigrants to fill those jobs they have been priced out of

But my blood is boiling from those hundreds of thousands of hard working people who are being treated like this. If I could vote for a London Msyor it would be anyone who's policy it is to just leave people alone.
Londoners need to get off their backsides and vote to end this next May.
London is far left/ liberal & mostly ethnic minority do no chance of getting him out !
He'll always get the muslim vote, then you've got the disgruntled minorities who hate Britain just as much as him. Then you've got the worst group of people ever.. the white liberal... London is done!
Im afraid with all the net zero carbon targets the government are aiming for its going to get a lot worse, looking ahead they are looking to tax us per mile too.
London is a Muslim/immigrant city. There will only ever be a packi mayor now
Londoner's voted Khan in twice so we got what we vote for when only 51% of eligible votes actually turned out and voted
Is this the rule of "unintended consequences"? No, it's what happens when proposals are built on lies and the outcomes are not thoroughly thought through. [No impact assessment]. I fear this person is amongst many doomed by an over zealous London mayor.
It is very sad when one person is in a position to ruin the lives of many others.
And yet he goes from strength to strength whilst those with the power to stop him just pontificate! Shows us something rotten in our country.
@@geraldabeyawardena5606 We need to take action to improve London air period! However I think we must allow the public to be part of the solution by offering initiative to switch to an electric car while targeting the most polluting vehicles . Transport for London must switch to all electric ⚡ buses within 3 years and lead the way! So must all taxis who are the untouchables it seems. This will give the public confidence in tackling pollution in London which is a serious threat to public health.
@@theancientsancients1769Your very busy "Copy & Pasting" Here 🤡
As for electric buses they're useless as two thirds through their working day they need to be returned back to the garage to be recharged 🤣
I feel sorry for people who have to pay ULEZ to go to work. People who don’t have to go into London will avoid it and spend their time and money elsewhere.
The tiny percentage that it will affect you mean?
It is senseless, selfish and cruel. I hope this man is given some support and finds a better, local option for employment.
I live outside of London but often travel in to Upminster to a farm shop that sells my animal feed.. With the ULEZ It will no longer be viable for me to shop there with an extra £12.50 added.. Sorry but this is going to destroy small businesses.
I think that’s the idea, then the big corporations take over it all ?
@@joycegibbs5267 I think you’ve nailed it 👍
More advice if you pack up your job , do not tell the dhss you packed up say you were laid of cutbacks, they can’t check up on you , data protection act 😉
You have to show that you can't get to a job in 90 minutes of commuting. If the cost of travel adds an additional £360 to his travel expenses the the DWP may have to consider topping up his income. I doubt if may people can afford an additonal £360 a month in travel costs.
Look on the bright side. This may result in a major backlash against the establishment which may lead them to reconsider their policies.
@@guronanak9218Can’t see them changing their minds. Needs to be done to comply with air quality law.
Politicians are meant to work and support us - WTF is going on!
Ppl need to rebel against this
Everyone just needs to not pay.
Shred the fines and do not comply.
But they wont.
no one should pay the tax and wait and see what Khan does next
GEEE'S GUYS, JUST STOP COMPLYING, THESE CHARGES ARE UNLAWFUL, JUST DONT PAY EVER, SMASH THE DAMNED SYSTEM AND ALL THEIR CAMERAS,
DO NOT COMPLY TO TYRANNY, WE ARE THERE MASTERS, JUST REMEMBER THAT!
Money making scheme by targeting motorist . Next it’s pay per mile
you can see the level of self delete will go up and kill a lot more than so called bad air.
the lockdowns didn’t go enough it seems ?
I'm fully on board with saving the environment etc, but ULEZ isn't a tax on those that can't afford it, and it's repulsive.
Agreed. We have a worker shortage and now we are pricing workers out of work. I’m left wing but this is bonkers stuff
National strike let's see how long these people will survive without all the great workers off this country who work hard every day to keep our country going
We care about this man and his family but Khan doesn't because he just wants our money and nothing and nobody else matters, and what angers me is it's all a lie and he knows it.
Pollution 10 times higher down in the tube stations than above work that one out
People like Khan have nothing but contempt for ordinary working class people.
Dont think this is it, wait till the goalposts start moving.
White Christians are very intelligent and subsequently very placid. Other Ethnic Groups are not placid. Why aren't these Ethnic groups who voted Sadiq Khan into office, complaining? Is the loyalty to this Culture of total obedience so great that they would willingly starve to keep Sadiq Khan in Office?
What a Hero " Mr Khan " is , he's trying to save the Planet , unfortunately NOWADAYS it costs money and the " GENERAL PUBLIC " are paying in SPURIOUS FINES !
But he is not saving the planet. They are just paying to pollute.
@@SpookyDjinn He's Not Really a HERO trying to save the planet !
The public are the ones producing most of the traffic pollution. Perhaps they are mostly to blame.
Sad,sad day for democracy where the state can cause misery and pain on its people.
Why is it a sad day for democracy,
as Khan was voted in.

Khan should be out at the next mayoral election if he's not then Londoners have nothing to complain about
That terrible and that's probably just one example. As usual the second rate mayor is so clueless and doesn't listen. He has probably plenty of money he should pay for this guy due to his idiocrocrasy
I don’t think they can sanction your benefits if the job is beyond a certain distance. Given his driving in from another city he should be fine, only problem is DWP staff are so hopeless that they might incorrectly sanction him and he would have to appeal and Waite for his benefits
Why would he hand his notice in, he just doesn’t pay the charge, simple as, what can they do, any judge would dismiss a case against him.
Not the one who took Khans' side just yesterday and ruled the ULEZ expansion lawful.
@@jamesbarbour8400 Yes, depends what judge he get. Judges are always also politician but they work undercover. They are not saints, do not put to much trust in them
I am not one for conspiracy theories but I started thinking what could be the rationale behind all this, please bear with me and offer alternative solutions.
So if ULEZ is impacting on the lowest paid parts of society. And if, like this poor chap his only alternative is to give up his employment, this will lead to a shortage of low skilled labour in the capital. Now let me think where could Sadiq Khan get his hands on a large pool of labour ready to go to work in exchange for, oh let me think, citizenship maybe? In one fell swoop London's Muslim answer to Napoleon would provide his fellow brothers employment and would effectively complete the Islamic conversion of London.
Far fetched, maybe? Only time will tell.
I agree. He’s pricing low income whites out of London to bring in immigrants
Absolutely spot on my friend. Only military aged men coming in, via the channel.
Our military doesn’t have enough ammunition to fight an enemy, for a day even!!.
You don’t have to be EINSTEIN, to see that this is deliberate, the eradication of white Christianity, replacing it with an easily controlled sick SEX CULT!!
That £3K assumes he doesn’t drive at the weekends for excursions or the weekly shop because for many it will be a lot more than £3K.
This is exactly my problem too - so there must be thousands of people like us. The garage never mentioned that the car would not be compliant when I bought it only 6 months ago.
Ridiculously it's a form of " Constructive Dismissal"... except by the Government ..not his employer. So we prefer to pay someone benefits rather than have them gainfully employed.
But khan couldnt care less
Just don't pay his money grabbing fines. That is all its about really, getting him more money. He can't have everyone sent to gaol.
Vote reform Party and stop voting for tyranny
People you need to stand up and refuse to pay it, storm the streets around where Khan lives, unless everyone takes actions now, the precedent has been set, so that the mayor and councils can do exactly what they want, and invent new taxes. Our rights are being taken away day by day. If people are worried about doing anything because they have things to lose, then by the time you take action, you won't have anything to lose. Why is Khan the mayor anyway, he isn't a Christian, he is making way for an Islamic state, and by doing nothing, we are being complicit in helping with that.
None of this is a quickfix, not been thought through properly. No proper coordination, no proper management skills and just poor behaviour overall!
Been thought through to the tiniest detail , to get u out of your car , khan is leader of c40 mayors, look it up 👍🏻
All the qualities you need to be an MP or London Mayor then.....
We have to pay 12.50 a day & we also have to pay for the politions when they claim the charge on their expenses
Get rid of Khan ... the emissions would be halved, at a stroke!
Soon, every voter in London will have the opportunity to vote this man out of office. I'll be the first in the queue.
This country is finished
This is just the start in my opinion, there is going to be a lot of people and businesses affected by this for no valid reason. Let's hope it get's scrapped as soon as possible.
It’s needed to comply with the law of the land. The Mayor is piggy in the middle.
@@davecooper3238 Its needed because his paymasters the WEF told him do it. Doesn't matter the political creed ..the result would be the same.
Don't bother Karn flying about in his three range rover convey, Labour for the working class yer right, he has just cost them the next election!
Absolute nightmare result
this could turn out to be Khan's poll tax
The labour muslim mayor of london only now needs to tell us that Muslims are exempt for religious reasons?
Pick fruit and vegetables in Lincolnshire ?!?! Apparently, all the EU workers have f##"ed off home so there's loads of vacancies ..... in fields.
More lights for Ramadan on regent street and more Islamic celebrations .
How about a general strike for 12 months or should make a difference
Justice for the working class! Starmer, where are you?
Jeez don't pin all your hopes on that idiot, he'll be even worse and yes that is possible, sadly !
I found lighting a candle helps
Worry is a down payment on something that may never happen.

It is the right idea, but it's too expensive. It should be £6.50 max. Plus, the scrappage scheme. I am a huge fan of Sadiq Khan, but this is hurting too many people, as is the poor air quality - we need a compromise.
Can you understand how this could be seen by those in east London as a way to price them out of the capital and then say they need more immigrants to fill those jobs they have been priced out of
@@krob2327 Not really. East London is well covered with public transport. High rent is forcing people out. Immigration is nothing to do with this.

Shameful Labour.
Question , are they taxing all the Air crafts in the sky above London for all the pollution they cause? A lot more than cars do !
That's a very good point actually. We know without a shadow of a doubt that when Klaus S' and his pals fly to Davos, in Switzerland, they cause an enormous amount of pollution, since they all have their own private jets. Then they get into huge gas guzzling cars to take them to their ultimate venue.
