There’s no pain worse than losing your child. If I lost my son I couldn’t go on. He’s my light in this world. I admire Ernie’s strength because I wouldn’t be able to carry on. I wouldn’t be here anymore if I lost my boy.

Ernies son was severely disabled and out lived the most generous prognosis. He was a miracle.
I can’t disagree. My boy is everything to me. Even as a grown up he is my best buddy. He better never think of leaving before me.
There are many things you can say about President Kennedy. Some that are good and, like any human being, not so good. However, when he buried his newborn son in 1963 he said, "It is against the laws of human nature for a parent to bury their child." Regardless of what you think of President Kennedy, he was right about that.

I remember seeing a story on Ernie's special needs son. As I watched this loving father feed him and groom him it let all who were watching know what a special man this was and how blessed his son was to have a father who although is very affluent and wealthy did not put his son in a care facility but kept him home and loved on him until God decided to make him an angel. It's been a year since his son passed, but we pray Ernie and his family's heart has healed
