Hadi's arms too small is the only problem. he has managed to bring them up a little but his genetics for arms just arent there.
In my opinion I think he is maxed out. I don't see him getting any better from here. Best bet for him is to try and maintain and come in the most shredded he can be because he's not growing anymore.
Yeah, I tend to agree!! His growth from 212 in 2 years is incredible, but he's not going to keep growing at that rate - if at all!!

Hes in his early 30s, he placed 2nd and 1st on his first two Olympias since moving to Open, plus this is off season so how exactly is he maxed out? Not to mention he is being coached by the best bodybuilding coach of all time. If u take a guest posing like this serious u just dont understand anything about bodybuilding
@@paulorocha1772 If you dont understand what maxing out your frame means then maybe you dont understand bodybuilding? He is very short and has packed a lot of beef on that frame, dont think there is much more size he can put on no matter who is coaching him lol. And the fact is he doesnt need overall size anyways. He needs to get that fron side shredded and try to balance out his legs with his upper body
To me, it looks like his legs are slightly larger than last year, and his upper body is the same. IMO, he doesn't need to grow his upper body much more. If he improves his legs, improves his upper body conditioning, and gains more muscle maturity, he wins the O again.
Also, the comparison isn't that fair considering the 2024 guest posing pictures are blurry which is washing out a lot of details...

Derek will look ALOT better for the Olympia...but I don't think he will hold on to his crown...he has come so far but truthfully the more I looked at him LAST year at his victory I think Hadi probably should have won...and there is some really tough competition out there now.

Its crazy how nobody talks about that baseball size lumps in his lats yet everyone was talking about Hadi's shoulder....its 100% bias because Derek's lats look wayyyyyy more obvious, noticeable and worse than Hadi's shoulder.

Why don't people mention Derek's arms and shoulders as missing lines or separation? Even his chest has little definition. He personifies the phrase “shows are won from the back.” Arnold brought bodybuilding into the mainstream by winning contests from the front. Winning from the back and striated glutes will keep bodybuilding small. Bummer, I have a special place in my heart for the sport or pageant…

That's another reason I love dumbbell workouts... They really help fix muscle imbalances. Left or right side... Etc.

Spot on comments about Derek's lats and arms.
Keep in mind this is not competitive condition so overall he does look to have gained a few pounds of real muscle in areas.
Not a ton but I think he made some improvements.

I think hes just off cycle right now considering prep for the olympia will start in a week or 2, at most in 4 weeks. Probably had his off season cycle, came off for a little bit before hopping back on for the O. Its not like he can be blasting all year, if there is a time to be off its now, and probably is now.

Quads definitely bigger! Arms look bigger to me. Leaner last offseason so kind of hard to tell.Crazily his back still blew everyone away... I think his double bi back is improved. His head has gotten bigger for sure...

His lower back is the same, it's just his trunks were taller the precious year.

The lats in the front double-bi just don't look natural to me.
His chest is less defined at this year's Pittsburgh Pro. Normally, he doesn't have a great chest when compared to others in the 1-5 position in the Olympia. His back dB remains unbeatable though.

2023 is big but that's more on water and not quality muscles from bulk. 2024 will be bigger on this Mr Olympia Stage.

I don't think he's made any improvements, at least nothing noticeable or game changing. He's still incredibly dangerous obvious he just won last year with basically the same physique, so basically others just need to improve to beat him. Derek is a special athlete, but there's something I don't know, I read somewhere that some of the reasons some of the guys todays muscles compared to say 90s guys let alone before look almost soft or bloaty/blocky is not just a steroid issue but maybe like a putting on muscle to fast issue and so the muscle doesn't have time to mature or become quality? just something I read could be nonsense but I'm just wondering why do so many today muscles seem just off compared to greats of old is all even from the 90s? I mean I refuse to believe they are using like straight up 50 percent oil enhancements/ outright Synthol right like on top of actual muscles that'd be so incredibly gay and a shame I hope hope at worst they are using like 1 percent site enhancement oils and such, at worst! even that'd be shameful but would beat the hell out of like 10-20+ percent ya know, anyways does anyone have an answer to this in other words a Nick Walker or etc. why do there muscles not all but some of them look so just pudgy/blocky/ not defined not real for lack of a better word like a lot of 90s top guys do are there rational genuine reasons for this involving a difference in method of training today? are they building muscle to fast ? does building it to fast at these levels genuinely mean there is a difference between quality muscle development and soft looking blocky muscle developed to fast? how much site enhancement oils do some or even most of the top guys use? etc. etc. etc?. As for Derek anyone who says he's sucks overall is biased as heck, however yes it is an undeniable fact his two primary weaknesses would be his biceps- which maybe its a genetic thing and no amount of training can ever give him ya know frickin Roely Winklar or like Nasser El Sombaty prime biceps ya know what I mean I know those guys were true greats and freaks but still, there not bad by any means they just simply dont look separated and detailed and quality like great of old and they compared to his best parts look fairly at best average ish, and then the what are they called striations on his pecks? but the rest I think is quite elite.
Different drugs and different conditioning imo. 90s guys had less bodyfat and held a tiny bit more water, which is why they were rounder and more separated, but softer (minus Dorian lol, he was rock hard if we ignore 97 Mr.O). Modern pros stack insulin with diuretics and hardening peptides which is odd. Insulin builds the most water and muscle out of any drug that I know of and diuretics and other hardening agents are supposed to get rid off it, it's a perplexing decision. The result is that the guys end up dry and big, but flat.
If you wanna see what I mean, compare Lee Haney to Nick Walker. Even though Haney looked softer, he was way more striated in the shoulders, chest, legs and back. That's just the difference betweem lower bodyfat vs lower water retention. Think of alcoholics, they can be quite fat but are still dry and have those rockhard beer bellies.
