Ghaleon is just so cool. The fact he used the very properties that made him a successful villain in the first game for the purpose of good is just beautiful. Using underhanded tactics for the greater good. Plus, not everyone has the bragging rights for tricking an evil elder god into believing you're on their side.
I completely agree. I would like to see a remake of the original game on PS4 and PC. Maybe extend it to show how the transformation of his motives actually occurred.
I've been using Ghaleon as an avatar on different websites for over 15 years now and my facepalming has yet to cease when people ask "What anime is he from?"
Just as how Ghaleon wasn't an outright villain in the second game, I think the same can also be said for the first. He had his reasons for his thoughts and actions, even if his methods were misguided. He saw the world he cared for falling apart and a need for Luna to return to being Althena in order to save it. He also knew that Dyne, Alex, and Luna wouldn't be able to understand the matter unless they were forced to see it with their own eyes. In the end, he became the bad guy not because he wanted to, but because he had to in order to force their hands to act. Then, a thousand years later, he stands in Hiro's way to test him and force his hand, just as he had previously.
@Ashykitten You're very welcome. If there is other soundtracks you haven't heard in a long time (in particular, from video games.) that you might like posted, feel free to ask. I'm open to anyone's suggestions and I'll get to them when I can...
that's not an actual Lunar game. And it's not advance it's DS. It's a company that just used the name Lunar trying to cash in on the property. It isn't a remake, and it has nothing to do with either of the first 2 lunar games. I own the DS game so I can attest. It has this stupid combat system when you either fight for experience, or money, you can't do both, so you basically have to fight everything twice as long for anything. Watch some youtube videos tosave the money :D
There was a remake of Lunar 2 for playstation but it was pretty awful compared to the original... dumbed down, simplified and many anime cut scenes were not recreated.
Are you watching in secret, Dyne? These children shine with your light. Fight hard, Hiro. Believe in your friends. The final test lies before you.

@@HisNameIsSamwise I would like the same but I’m not sure I can imagine a galleon with a different voice actor
Simply put, Ghaleon is one of the greatest villains in any form of media, and he should be better known than he is.
It's cool Hiro NOTICES Ghaleon let him win. He knows he spared their lives. And returns the favor.

Not here but I also use him as an avatar everywhere too (discord/gaming/etc) ... and not once does anybody know who he is :(
wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww ghaleon is just the best character ever made!
I love the ending part at 3:15 it kinda give you a hint that Ghaleon true intention was good.
Thanks for putting up the Lunar OST. It popped into my head at random 'n I didn't think I'd find it on here to listen to!
he is under my top 10 villain place 3
One of my favorites as well. Right up there with Golbez from Final Fantasy 4.

Why does Silver Star story get so many remakes and not Lunar 2?
Matthew Stephens lunar was only remade once and thats going from sega cd to ps1
So what about the gameboy advance one, or the PSP one?
