Good day from Philippines a beginner here. Just want to ask if my mattress is 36x75x4 can you please tell me what is the size of the sheet that Im gonna need? Thanks in advance and waiting for your response. More power on your channel 😘
Good Morning! I made it from a twin size flat sheet. You would need the same size sheet if you are planning to add strips of cloth to adjust the measurements otherwise use a queen or king size sheet. Thanks for stopping by!
You can take any size of flat sheet because to get the measurements you have to attach joints at the end anyways. But for making queen size it would be best to have king or queen size flat sheet so you don't have to attach whole big joints. Hope it makes sense to you.
I am going to try this but with elastic only in the corners. I absolutely hate elastic all the way around, impossible to fold them, that's why I refuse to buy new sheets until I absolutely have no choice.
For the corner, take the height of your mattress and add a few (about 4) inches extra as well as one more inch for hemming. As for the elastic, take about half of the measurement of the perimeter of your sheet. Since your perimeter is 316 inches ( 99 + 99 + 59 + 59), you need roughly 158 inches long elastic. This is not a precise measurement, however, and you should ideally just buy a full package of elastic.
It depends on the size of the mattress you have. Take your mattress measurement, mostly you won't be able to find a cloth according to your width measurement... especially if you are making it for a queen or king size mattress.

Tnx but l tried making one but mine didnot cover well after cutting and sewing, pls what should l do?tnx
You have to use your own mattress measurements. Now what you need to do next is to unstitch one end of the cover and add the amount of cloth needed.

if you go to the store how wide should the fabric be. and how long.
It depends on the size of the mattress you have. Take your mattress measurement, mostly you won't be able to find a cloth according to your width measurement... especially if you are making it for a queen or king size mattress.
What are the measurements for the triangles?
It is explained in the video at 1:55.
are u supposed to pull the elastic as your sewing it into the fabric?
No, because we are not sewing over the elastic, we are just incasing it.
thankyou.....for dis clear video..
Thank you for watching!
Great idea but can't follow what u are doing.
Awesoooome
How will we get triangle to cut corner
It is explained in the video at 1:55. If you watch it few times I hope you'll get it.

It's not rounding up you may be missing something or your measurements may be different.
