Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire--Queen's Court

Scenario: The Shire of Mount Hope has gathered to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s natal day [birthday]. But the festivities are interrupted by the arrival of the Queen of Thieves, Micaela Monvoisin. As a show of her good will, Micaela offers a gift: the amulet of Nimue, which is said to bring about a great power in the hands of the reigning monarch of England. Unable to contain herself, Queen Elizabeth places the amulet in the tree, summoning the great wizard Merlin. After a thousand years in the tree, Merlin reveals that he is cursed to grant three wishes to the reining monarch. Elizabeth spends one wish, but waits for the second two, much to Merlin’s chagrin. Queen Elizabeth invites Micaela to join her on the chess board for a tournament of arms, to which the Queen of Thieves agrees provided the prize they play for is one she decides. Against her spymaster's advice, Queen Elizabeth agrees, and everyone sets off to enjoy the day's festivities.
