Nigelfelix Cheongde Robert Redford was a real looker right at the beginning of his career. Thank heavens he's got talent because his looks left REAL quick!
@@dmelton37 Among many movies, he was intense in Spy Game ...older then but talent-wise holding his own with another heart-throb Brad Pitt emerging phenomenal looker, as Redford in his premiere 'handsome extraordinaire' days, attracting the attention of the audience, both sexes noting charisma, women ardent admiration, men a tiny bit jealous his so endowed 'ruffian genteel' class-act looks. Great chemistry between them and my idea excitement and romantism's devotion to worthy causes, a substantial movie-plot made for sensational viewing my part...intensity loved it, would purchase and rewatch in worth it. 🖒👍
Gregory Peck is one of the handsome actors but notice one thing about him? I have never seen any other man that looks like him! It's like God made his pattern and destroyed that one pattern.

Roger Moore should be included if you watched him as a young man in The Miracle! Disliked Robert Mitchum in my youth! And I wouldn't put Burt Lancaster so far back. And what about John Gavin?
@Sid Sidney great dancer he was, nobody denies that, and charming but that doesn't make him handsome. We are talking about handsome men not even sexy nor attractive. It is male beauty we are talking about here.
Oh my gosh ... So many good looking men with their chiseled chins, sharp jaw lines, and beautiful smiles with such kissable lips. I have always thought Marlon Brando was just absolutely the most handsome of all men from that era, he is my favorite. .... And Paul Newman was to die for. Man, Elvis was just too pretty for words. ... Heck I could go on and on about so many of them.
Yes,and one of the most perfect face ive seen😘his my fav James Bond ever and im inlove with him his voice and his deadly looks😘 Elvis presley and him love them both😘True difinition of handsomeness😘
Some good choices but Elvis would have been top of my list, in his 1968 come back special he was absolutely stunningly handsome. I would have also added Jeffrey Hunter, Robert Donat. Although I didn't fancy Robert Redford i could see he was handsome so I'm surprised he wasn't included in the list.
In ELVIS: That's the Way It Is, he looked like a Greek god on stage. Aug, 1970 was his prime, IMO. Yeah, Elvis should be a clear #1 on this list. #1 on my women's list is Rachel Welch. She actually appeared in the Elvis movie, Roustabouts. She had 1 line and was not in the credits, but so GORGEOUS!
Cary Grant (A Class Apart) and Brando-Newman, then the others...I'm a huge Sinatra Fan but...17?! He should not stay in this list...he was The Voice, not The Face :D
And a very fine actor to boot. He should have won at least 4 Oscars instead of one. How he didn't win for Cat on a hot tin roof, Hud, and Cool hand Luke, still befuddles me. Even later on, Nobody's Fool, and Road to Perdition were Oscar worthy as well.
Earl Flynn was a poor substitute for you guy coalman, but that little Brit David Niven, was always hang,n around, also we forgot Victor Mature and there was a whole list of TV stars, Guy Mitchel, Dane Clark, the Guy who was Jim Bowie, Yancy Derringer, Yul Briner, anyway it,s fun to try to remember, See Ya

I ONLY COMPLEMENTED TONY CURTIS, BECAUSE OF HIS GOOD LOOKS, AND THAT'S FOR SURE.🌹
Yes Robert Redford should be near the top or the top. Robert is very handsome and he has beautiful eyes and the way he looks at Katherine Ross in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is something else.
Barbara Funnell BINGO! I understand why many swoon over Paul Newman, but for myself I am attracted to elegant dark-haired men. I almost switched camps when I saw a picture of Stephen Nichols as a young man! We can’t really say who is more attractive than whom when they are all so different! I would rather not.compare apples to oranges, but have the whole fruit salad! How about you? (James Dean I just don’t get it...)
Indeed true, but Brando was vain in conceited then and character is a big part of attraction for myself. In addition 'Streetcar named Desire' so magnetic sexual allure of dominance.. I loved him in 'Mutiny on the Bounty' heroic and boldly breaking traditional roles. Caught up in the fantasy I wanted to know more, thus I read his autobiography 'mesmerized' at first but came away thinking what an all around jerk. Aside the normal infatuation 'self' glamour brings, Brando took it to a whole new level, like he was an emperor of sorts, imperial, passionate his own standards conduct his but coldly unfeeling others involved himself. His life story, he never mentioned his ex-wife once, her name ommitted because she divorced him for his infidelities, but first unfaithful herself..perhaps an atonement injustices felt. He thought he could do as he pleased and she would remain true, as if married to himself doing her a favor. Avid conceits there, then struck me quite callous an interloper others sense of well- being, main concern his own mental-state 'pumped', almost predatory like...one thing to possess animal-magnetism on screen, another entirely to be brutish off stage, especially when he bragged laughingly about having sex with his neighbors wife while being friends with the guy. I thought that in my personal opinion 'sick' an arrogant display of cowardice. I mean I know Hollywood is tough on keeping life real while all is illusion in-surround of self, contaminated character various ways of 'temptations' to assume nothing is of real substance or amounts to more than a passing phase. I'm just saying that, afterwards those insights, never found him attractive. I can agree chiseled features like a god but one made of stone. I think also that's why when he grew older and lost his physical appeal ....he developed a food addiction, making it worse like a penance almost. Anyway its enjoyable going over these stars, so reminiscent a golden era of the silver screen...debuts ongoing in the present sense.
@Marie Smith Appreciate that. Yet not as I would like to believe, but led to believe. It must be remembered in-relation my comment was viewed in light of romanticism. A portrayal ardent emotion star-struck. The autobiography did not do justice to causes he felt strongly about. As usual per-say along the boulevard Hollywood's general shallowness of crowd-pleasers concerned only that aspect himself a heart-throb, in regards an adoring crowd of mesmerized fans. The book relayed an ommission, I found my 'cast' idol had feet of clay is all...for every strength their is a weakness in all of us and the limelight a great test for anyone's character. Funny to make mention worthy csuses, what attracted me most about Brando to begin were the roles 'justice sought' heroism on any scale in the first place, he played in such heartfelt an artistic light....not only handsome, strong persona 'chiseled' features but standing up against oppression. This appealed to me greatly. But like many endowed greatness in time 'power' can poison on a personal level. This reminds of the movie 'Viva Zapata!' a magnificent historical narrative based-on events., whereas the characters fight for Justice overall, but become embittered along the way., each member falling by degrees beneathe the weight of glory. Finally become as weakly frail vulnerable 'passions' the tides as current trends 'turnings' taken upon a windingly dubious road, falling away from noble ideas as their former oppressors. To succeed beyond ordinary measures in every area of life, a question unanswered for most of us, but stardom's introspection compares past imaginable. Its difficult to be hailed as a god then return to mortal-status, to change 'skins' literally on the surface a daily basis, atmospheric pressures expand/ contract takes its toll on many...not just Brando, but all must pass thru the fires of self-realization what is fiction as fantasy vs. what is real, thrust the middle maelstrom Fame.
David Jackson he always had really bad eating issues, would eat like a cow all the time and go. On crash diets before shooting for his early roles, eventually he stopped the crash dieting and just ate badly and gained more and more weight
That is my list too!! Cary Grant is my no.1, Paul Newman, Elvis Presley, Clint Eastwood and then Marlon Brando. I fell for Marlon Brando the first time I saw Street Car Named Desire - my jaw dropped and I drooled through the whole movie, lol.
Let's just say we had to make a decision and only select four people.. LOL the top of the four top would be Elvis Presley in the 1968 Comeback Special, Robert Redford in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Omar Sharif in Funny Girl and Doctor Zhivago, and Clark Gable in Gone With the Wind!
Robert Conrad was not only the most handsome, in my opinion, he was also modest enough to be extremely careful about his hair and body. Sheer perfection. Many handsome actors got really sloppy about their appearance.

Mae West discovered Cary Grant. When he signed a studio contract, they had only used him in commercials up to that point. Mae West was in an office and was looking for a leading man for her new film. She looked out the window and saw Cary Grant walking across the lot. She told the person she was with that she wanted HIM in the movie. Cary Grant was brought up to the office to meet her and said hello in that voice of his, introduced himself and that was all she wrote. Mae West got her way and Cary Grant was in the movie.
@@ratso4443 Again, just a matter of taste. I never found him very attractive (and still do not like most of his songs). I do not like his mouth and nose (too wide). Eyes too small, mouth downturned. So, it is completly ok that you deem him most attractive for yourself and your taste, but calling him best looking man on the planet is simply not true.

People think of Dean Martin as mostly a singer but there were times his life his face was as nice as any man could hope for. His resume included not only having been a card dealer, (and card shark), but also as a boxer then a male model, and also a stand up comedian. He was also in the process of being the leading man with Marilyn Monroe in a movie at the time she died. They were prepared to replace her and continue on but Dean Martin said no, and walked away from it. I remember for a while he was called the highest paid entertainer in the world and when his song, "Everybody loves somebody", bumped, "The Beatles" out of 1st place, he called both Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley to joke about it. Elvis always called Dean Martin "The coolest man alive". I met Dino in Century City at "Carmines" Italian Restaurant , we shook, hands we talked and he put my business card in this wallet with about a 1/2 inch of other people's cards.
What a great story. Dean Martin was extremely handsome, and I recall him with John Wayne. He was a very good actor, which I think always went to the wayside. He never got the glory he should have gotten as an actor. What a thrill to have met him!

J Bell917 True
It's criminal and an injustice to have omitted Robert Redford whose rightful place is next to Paul Newman.
Nigelfelix Cheongde I just said that it’s a crime and shame
Nigelfelix Cheongde Robert Redford was a real looker right at the beginning of his career. Thank heavens he's got talent because his looks left REAL quick!
Susan Emmons It not all about looks but the total package which includes his acting skills etc. etc. etc.
@Denise Melton it IS all about looks. The name of the video says “handsome” not sexiest or most talented
So many more could be there. Amazing how beautiful they were when they were young, especially. Their characters and voices only added to their magic.
I'm glad to see Gregory Peck almost #1. He was so handsome, talented and had a . great voice
Yeah Gregory Peck was at the top of my list along with Brando, Paul Newman and Robert Redford who they left out maybe because he's still living.

Yes. Too bad he was left off the list.
Nice list.
I'm shocked he's not on the list!
Alain Delon is not on this list, because he was not Hollywood, but French actor, Preciousely he IS, not WAS.
Where was James Mason? ❤. Breathtakingly attractive, he had it all- brooding, dark, sultry looks, fabulous physique, intelligence, stylish hair & a voice to die for!
He was a Brit. *20 thousand Leagues.
Absolutely!!!!
His voice was like velvet.
yeah? Well how about Clint Walker?
yes, all of these(Robert Redford, Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Warren Beatty, Stephen Boyd, Robert Mitchum) should have replaced Charlie Chaplin and Frank Sinatra as 'handsome men'

You are right. And I would bring down Gene Kelly as specifically handsome. Marlon Brando should not be nº 1 but Paul Newman! Roger Moore should be included if you watched him as a young man in The Miracle! Disliked Robert Mitchum in my youth! And I wouldn't put Burt Lancaster so far back. And what about John Gavin?
Those guys aren't "Old Hollywood."
@Sid Sidney great dancer he was, nobody denies that, and charming but that doesn't make him handsome. We are talking about handsome men not even sexy nor attractive. It is male beauty we are talking about here.
Franco Nero should have his own list and Paul Newman.
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. They were all beautiful. Thank you for gracing our lives.
Hello Joanne, How are you doing?
Dean Fumblin Nelligan : good, take care
I think Sidney Poitier and Paul Newman both have/had great looks for acting and great virtues for living.

And I'm sorry but the number one spot should have gone to Clint Eastwood. This missed the mark and a few of the people.

Elvis in his 1968 was absolutely gorgeous the best he has ever looked!!!😛😛🥰😍 I need to fan myself!! He was a " Hunk of Burnin' Love!!"🔥🔥❤

Barbara Funnell BINGO! I understand why many swoon over Paul Newman, but for myself I am attracted to elegant dark-haired men. I would rather not.compare apples to oranges, but have the whole fruit salad! How about you? (James Dean I just don’t get it...)
My choices, too!
Elvis every time, but how beautiful was the youthful Brando!
@Christine JonesJust saying and I get you...movie portrayals only import ardent enthusiast...not personal details behind the scenes.
