Rock-Shaped Pottery Sculpted in Clay - Timelapse bonsai pot

- In this pottery timelapse, I sculpt a rock-shaped pot from clay slabs, showcasing the process of transforming a flat slab of clay into a textured rock-inspired pottery. Using a mixture of colored clays, I gradually shape the clay to resemble a natural rock formation, with intricate details and texture. This handcrafted ceramic piece is designed specifically as a pot for cascading pine trees or bonsai, offering a unique and naturalistic accent for tree display. The entire manufacturing process takes approximately 8-10 hours, culminating in a mixed stoneware pot fired at 1250°C. I demonstrate the art of slab pottery and sculpting textured pottery, exploring techniques for creating rock texture pots and crescent pots in this pottery tutorial.

Good evening Greg could take a question, I went to enamel my vase in 1100 degrees when I went to take them out of the oven, they were all full of bubbles, some sides and others were good, what could have happened in the enameling ???

Amazing greg! By mincing all the different clays together it gives you that fantastic colour after firing?
Yes, I do regular mixing tests to find interressant colors, it is not obvious because the basic color is not many, and firing changes everything. This mixture gives a brown-gray that I like.
