Perfect example of hike your own hike. The trail is not the same trail it was 20 years ago and will be different 20 years from now. Nothin to see here other than someone doing something adventurous and enjoying it. Just keep being you. Its working.
I think that part of your change is that you subconsciously realize that you are close to the end, and you want to see and do everything you can. That is a good thing! I've watched you hike from Georgia, and I must say, you might have the best attitude I've ever witnessed and because of that, the best hike I've ever watched on the A.T. Your want and need to be out there is shown with everything you do. Backpacking was meant for you to do. geek
Absolutely love this! The AT is tough adventurous hike but the blue blazes add to the j I urney so much. Nothing wrong with being a purist but I really believe it results in missing out on alot. Okay enough seriousness The monument still looks like a penis chess piece 😅 Happy hiking 🤘
