Hera about to be sentenced to prison due to a misunderstanding "we'll edit THIS one out at least, right?" Proceeds to keep the stream running for an entire year
The teenager w a straight piped v6 hooning down hera's road. 🤣 "sorry car in the background. wha what, who drives like that, who who drives like that, ridiculous bro. should be illegal to do that." - hera 28:35
I feel like re-walling may have helped with the raids it may have forced them to commit with siege outside of their walls, could have been a good opportunity to take out a lot of high-cost units
Very cool game, I dunno the level of x_treme77, but he held his own really well against Hera, even 1v1 him for a good portion of the game. Of course match-up helped, but I think he deserves some props, might have been the game of his life haha
ggwp I agree with your post-game assessment that you needed to finish off green. One option might have been to split your army to begin the pressure on red, but also leave enough behind to at least prevent green from re-booming. Those mango shots to keep the pressure on red were absolute pro though. You have world-class mango control.
That was our strategy, I can understand why it was tilting for Hera, but at our level we felt this was our best chance to win. We're debating paying for a rematch on Arabia but not sure we want to be embarrassed publicly.
@@TheXXXanderZone_aoe2 you shouldnt mind heras frustration. He didnt had to agree to the terms but he did. And he did tilt nevertheless. That was not your fault.
Maybe even a few cav archers in late game to snipe those bbc behind the green wall, or at least to prevent him from shooting at your trebs could have helped!
Hey Hera... Just to get into your attention... You can deny getting raided in your home base by not destroying your own walls when moving vills out... Hope this helps :)
I think you should have gone castle earlier and put more pressure on green before he reached castle, probably 2 siege push into 6-7 rams to kill his tc as fast as possible would have been the play, because once he gets a castle he's undefeatable
**literally all pros** : let's delete my only defense against cripplingly damaging raids that are definitely going to happen on a routinely basis. The walking time saved by not occasionally going through a gate is definitely worth 50 vils lost, hours of idle time, and 10 forced immediate reactions taking my attention from critical battles to micro my base and idle my vils. Let's also never put up any sort of walls whatsoever to protect these critical openings, because stone should only ever be used for castles, outposts, and market dumping. Even palissades are too costly. And most important of all, be sure to never build houses or production buildings in a way that walls up important areas. If they're not peppered around like randomly spilled beans, they might impede the pathing on a route my units have no business using.
There is only one thing I don't understand. Why was the bottom right edge completely unscouted until the end? Not even a single outpost? Or a periodic sacrifice unit? The red raids came regularly into your base completely without any forewarning, as if they were teleporting in, because there was zero scouting there. I don't understand the reason behind this.
I feel like petards would have been good to get into greens base the second time. If the trend couldn’t do it, maybe mix a few petard in with halb paladin
Hera, literally always: *kills 1-4 villagers*, then completely lets off, assuming they are damaged for a long time. Guy obviously comes back later with a vengance and Hera is completely surprised pichachu face. I mean why did you not go harder and harder, ramming down all of green and hunting green villagers literally trying for getting him to 0? Even if you don't damage red, you can win a 1v1 especially on arena. If you would just focus them down with your already bigger and better army then you would not always have to fight a 1v2 in the late game. You really have the option of knocking one opponent out, why not take it?
Would a map like fortified clearing be fun? but you have your own base/walls between both opponents. seems like a fun 2v1 or 4v1 map. you could prob pick civ with the map being difficult. But also gives you a chance to get rid of a player while defending against next. another idea would be Peace-O-Pizza. they have a slice thats 1v1 against you and the third slice is their safe slice with just them
You know what’s so funny is all the media on the thumbnail suggests a close battle and unless Hera is playing literally a fellow T10 player he is absolutely going to ruin his opponents every single time. I’m just so used to it now.
When you saw red was genitors. I would of whipped green and just built etheir a home castle or a foward castle on red to hold them off well i was busy destroying green
Is going fast castle at like 13.5 14 mins is best way to boom? Or is it better to do this? I always go fast castle on arena and try to get 3tc boom. I cant utilize the 3 tcs right away but after like 2 mins they all start to kick in
At 1000 Elo, fortification is a critical thing - probably due to lack of multitasking skill. At top level, the damage(if any) is managed much better. But, I'm curious as to what a downside to keeping the walls intact is at top level? (except perhaps a false sense of security)
hera literallly lost a easy game just beacause he ego deleted his own walls and then cries that his base getting raided is annoying and cant brake into greens base because green is way smarter and re built his wall. ego too big for his own good and tactics are at 800 elo.
Nothing cringe about calling yourself the best and then making it happen. That'd be like Michael Jordan looking back on his career and saying he shouldn't have been so competitive. If you didn't get there your way, you wouldn't be you
"we'll edit this out" this is becoming a trend
Hera about to be sentenced to prison due to a misunderstanding "we'll edit THIS one out at least, right?"

he leaves it in to make the video longer 11
Hera, after explaining why and how: "Don't ask me why or how." Love the video, I'll try Huns on Arena again soon.
lmaooooo
not taking out green when you had the chance was definitely the mistake. Changing focus to red would just allow green to get back up, which he did.
I was lucky I watched this live as a spectator. I was like "nooo dont let green alive" and Hera lost due to wrong strategy
Also could have taken all of his gold/stone if he ran through Green. Would have then been an easy 1v1.
i love how you expand the "Hera Lore" at the beginning of some games with some nice background stories of your life lol
Well for the first few mins there's not much else going on
I felt like Hera's punching bag this game lol, sorry for the bombard cannon cheese we'll do a proper Arabia game next time!
You did your job well. 99% of players would have died completely and not been able to get back into the fight.
26:43 I thought that was a war horn to show red has arrived lmao was like Ohh that's new XD

I like how Hera turns Arena into Arabia and just deletes all his walls.

I really don't understand the outter walls delete they literally started raiding his eco because of that, its just autolose
wouldn't keeping your walls + fortified have been a better strat to have more defense against annoying hussars raids messing up your farms ?
Huns don't get the fortified walls tech.
Got mega-counterpicked and still put on a decent show. Only goths+Romans vs Mayans would be a harder counterpick. GG.

Congrats on reaching the final 8th on Warlords
They stitched you up making you pick between two cav archer civs and one bad civ knowing they both get genitor

props for those 2 for playing that really well
1500 and 1250 is very good elo. They didn't need to pick civ as well. This same stuff with random civ would probably be just right

What was hera thinking to go into a 1v2 vs 2 1350s on arena?!?
I was surprised that he did hold out that long tbh.
Couldn't ypu shoot through the wood so he can't rebuild it.
Why u delete walls when red is on light cav?

From the data I saw on reddit, Tatars are the worst Arena civ. Maybe Huns are 2nd last? But even then Tatars are the worst by like 5%.
We need a New séries: "Roxy and Hera Pilgrim vs world"
Its better than Hera+IA
GG. Tough game, but this must really help you hone your skills even more.👍
