Some things you didn't mention about specials: For bomb rushes, you can use your main weapon while it's active, so don't be afraid to abandon your free bombs if someone is getting too close. For Inkzookas, you can use sub weapons while using it. And when using an inkstrike at the end of a match, if you haven't selected a target when the match ends, it will fire at your current location.

My Inkbrush pride compels me to gripe about Chugga mocking what is by far my favorite weapon. I've even had decent success with it in ranked. It's heavily supportive, non-confrational (unless you can give yourself the advantage ie: dropping down onto someone), and massive turf grabbing focused style make the inkbrush just the funnest thing to play with for me. ...I can't wait to here his thoughts on it
TheOddity Yeah, his picking at the Inkbrush is irking me a bit. I feel like it can be played in many play styles. The Permanent Inkbrush is great as an offensive weapon while the Nouveau is the great for steal and "Hit and Runs". And the normal brush is great for support and Inking ground. Each style works well for all rank modes too. I've gotten to S rank using only the Brushes, so I think he should cut some slack on the weapon.
Oh, I was just referring to the vanilla Inkbrush and the style that comes from its kit specifcally. I do agree with you as far as the play styles of the Permanent and the Nouveau, though. I'm not actually annoyed with him; I understand, or at least hope, he's just teasing the weapon because most people's first impression of the thing is that it's not very offensively viable and therefore not viable at all.
"Massive turf grabbing focused style?" Maybe this is just me (and I haven't really played since the roller nerf), but I recall when trying to use the inkbrush that I always felt like its turf coverage was just mediocre compared to most rollers even if it did move and attack faster. I dabbled in using the first inkbrush introduced partially because I love sprinklers, but once I unlocked the dynamo roller, I always just preferred to use that to get my sprinkler fix. Then again, I probably wasn't swinging the thing around like a madman enough, since it seems to ink turf better that way.
Nejove It really depends on your ability to mash. For example: Some people say that it's bad a killing, but if you're good at mashing you might have a different opinion and say that it kills quickly. The same goes for Inking, the faster you mash the more you'll ink. I think one of the best examples of this is Pirhanna Pit. If you use your sprinklers in a smart way and mash quickly you can get a clean 2000+ on that map (or 2700 due to the latest update). TheOddity Thanks! I'm just gonna assume he's poking fun at the weapon due to its image in the community.

When i use the wasabi version, i like to use tenacity with special charge up because i often get to launch the inkstrikes extremely quickly. Also, Moray towers isn't too bad when you have an inkzooka.
For any Splatoon newbies reading the comments, something Emile neglected to mention about the octoballs is that they actually need to be stuck in your ink before you can splat them, otherwise you'll just knock them back. Otherwise, great job on the Splatoon series so far and I'm looking forward to future episodes. It has been too long since I watched your videos Chuggaa.

Chuggaa so far this let's paly has been successful for me, by which i mean i now have a great desire to pick up this game ALL ACCORDING TO PLAN. Seriously, great job showing off just how fun and deep the gameplay of this game actually is!
One thing I will say about Moray Towers is that you absolutely must have control of the middle of the map. If you gain control of it, it will be pretty hard for the enemies to bounce back, and you can move towards their territory and ink it up fast, forcing them to fall back. I like how many strategies can be used for this map, which is why I personally enjoy playing on it, even if snipers are EVERYWHERE
He explained that he doesn't want to ruin the experience of new players. The enemy team most likely won't have a better time fighting against a smurf and I can at least say from experience that playing together with a smurf usually didn't make the matches i played in team-based games more enjoyable. Long story short, using smurf accounts to abuse the matchmaking system feels unfair. Even if it's not chugga's intention, he'd be paired up with inexperienced players if he stayed on the Let's Play account.
Yorekani I don't know if it's just me, but as a level eleven, you aren't paired with similar levelled people. I only see levels 50s and rarely anyone near my level.
Well, from the way chugga worded things, there aren't many new players joining Splatoon. A matchmaker can only do so much. If it can't find low level players to pair up, it'll gradually loosen matching requirements.
I personally really like Moray Towers, even though it favors snipers, there's a lot of flanks for the close range weapons to take snipers out. It's really fun when you can completely shut down the sniper!
Also, Chuggaa, a very important tip with the Inkzooka: The higher you aim with it, the farther it goes, but in an arc. An Inkzooka shot can get to the range of an E-Liter 3K; and shoot far more often than it. And, because of the arc, you can hit people behind walls, 100% out of your sight.
I'm a sniper (well, not always but often) and I still don't really like Moray Towers XP I dunno, it often just turns into "who's got the better range" sniper battles, it gets boring after a while imho

The N-Zap 89 is the king of Turf Wars. It out ranges the aero spray RG & planting Sprinklers on Super Jump markers are just as cruel as ink mines but far more fun to troll silently claiming turf from great vantage points on all maps. The 85 & 83 are great turfing weapons but subs & specials are focused on hunting & support more seen in ranked battles.

I don't do snipes very often, but I still absolutely love Moray towers. It's one of the few in Splatoon 1 that really takes advantage of climbing walls with your ink, and I wish more levels in that game really took advantage of that concept.
That 'music credit' is awesome. And 'playlist' needs to be watched. * attempts to look innocent * I have not idea how easy those end slate things are to miss.
The Splatoon2 Retrospective. THEY DID NOT BALANCE THIS PROPERLY AT FIRST OH MY GOD. Burst bombs and rollers were broken. It's insane. THey got nerfed to be more balanced in 2, and with DUalies and Brellas, everything fits together nicely.
How does Emile keep finding low Level and low skill people? It has been so long since I've seen people play as poorly as Emile's opponents in his Episode 1 and 2. I went through a stint where nearly all of the matches were with beastly people (might still be in that stint; I haven't played much for a week, or two). I would leave the queue to see the stats of the people in the match I just finished and for a while, I was playing with more S Rank people than… probably all other Ranks _combined_ (as if most people were S Rank) and I was playing with more S+ Rank people than A and A- Ranks (C and B letter range Ranks were fairly rare and I could go entire days without seeing low Level Rankless players), all in Turf Wars. This persisted even through 10-match streaks of not killing much; which last I heard, is how we're sorted in Turf Wars (killing vs. inking turf in the past 10 matches). This makes it tiering to try out new weapons. During this stint, more than half of the low Level people were definitely "Smurfs" (highly skilled people on new accounts pretending to be beginners), based not only on their k/d's, but especially their maneuvering (momentum-canceling and splatter-dashing all over the place; flick sniping and Burst-canceling). It's not all bad; it resulted in letting me feel accomplished by getting a tri-kill and a decent k/d on a team of two S+ and two S, while my team only had one S+ and three S, with a weapon I didn't use that much, but it means I can't relax anymore. I saw another guy on UA-cam; "Dude," one of the best Splatoon players in the world, Smurf for a video series and found all low Levels and low skilled players (with some of them being about as bad as the Global Test Fire people before Splatoon came out). How are people finding these queues these days?
Personally, I play rollers a lot, and Moray Towers is really fun to play. Those long Narrow paths can be easily covered in one go with most rollers, and it feels really satisfying to push straight into the other team's side.
There is actually a reason for that. When a video is watched, the view doesn't actually add to the counter once a majority of the video has been watched. The reason there are more likes than views is that people have been liking the video before watching all of it. So there's a fun fact!

I once had the best match on Kelp Dome. We covered ALL the turf and trapped them in their base. It was hilarious.
My Inkbrush pride compels me to gripe about Chugga mocking what is by far my favorite weapon.
I've even had decent success with it in ranked.
It's heavily supportive, non-confrational (unless you can give yourself the advantage ie: dropping down onto someone), and massive turf grabbing focused style make the inkbrush just the funnest thing to play with for me.

TheOddity Yeah, his picking at the Inkbrush is irking me a bit. I feel like it can be played in many play styles. The Permanent Inkbrush is great as an offensive weapon while the Nouveau is the great for steal and "Hit and Runs". And the normal brush is great for support and Inking ground. Each style works well for all rank modes too. I've gotten to S rank using only the Brushes, so I think he should cut some slack on the weapon.
Oh, I was just referring to the vanilla Inkbrush and the style that comes from its kit specifcally. I do agree with you as far as the play styles of the Permanent and the Nouveau, though.
I'm not actually annoyed with him; I understand, or at least hope, he's just teasing the weapon because most people's first impression of the thing is that it's not very offensively viable and therefore not viable at all.

"Massive turf grabbing focused style?" Maybe this is just me (and I haven't really played since the roller nerf), but I recall when trying to use the inkbrush that I always felt like its turf coverage was just mediocre compared to most rollers even if it did move and attack faster. I dabbled in using the first inkbrush introduced partially because I love sprinklers, but once I unlocked the dynamo roller, I always just preferred to use that to get my sprinkler fix. Then again, I probably wasn't swinging the thing around like a madman enough, since it seems to ink turf better that way.
Nejove It really depends on your ability to mash. For example: Some people say that it's bad a killing, but if you're good at mashing you might have a different opinion and say that it kills quickly.
The same goes for Inking, the faster you mash the more you'll ink. I think one of the best examples of this is Pirhanna Pit. If you use your sprinklers in a smart way and mash quickly you can get a clean 2000+ on that map (or 2700 due to the latest update).

When i use the wasabi version, i like to use tenacity with special charge up because i often get to launch the inkstrikes extremely quickly. Also, Moray towers isn't too bad when you have an inkzooka.
For any Splatoon newbies reading the comments, something Emile neglected to mention about the octoballs is that they actually need to be stuck in your ink before you can splat them, otherwise you'll just knock them back.

For some reason, Chugga hyping up the "weapon of the day" reminds me a lot of the initial bio segment of Death Battle, only more fresh.

One thing I will say about Moray Towers is that you absolutely must have control of the middle of the map. If you gain control of it, it will be pretty hard for the enemies to bounce back, and you can move towards their territory and ink it up fast, forcing them to fall back. I like how many strategies can be used for this map, which is why I personally enjoy playing on it, even if snipers are EVERYWHERE

He explained that he doesn't want to ruin the experience of new players. The enemy team most likely won't have a better time fighting against a smurf and I can at least say from experience that playing together with a smurf usually didn't make the matches i played in team-based games more enjoyable.
Long story short, using smurf accounts to abuse the matchmaking system feels unfair. Even if it's not chugga's intention, he'd be paired up with inexperienced players if he stayed on the Let's Play account.

Yorekani I don't know if it's just me, but as a level eleven, you aren't paired with similar levelled people. I only see levels 50s and rarely anyone near my level.
Well, from the way chugga worded things, there aren't many new players joining Splatoon. A matchmaker can only do so much. If it can't find low level players to pair up, it'll gradually loosen matching requirements.

I personally really like Moray Towers, even though it favors snipers, there's a lot of flanks for the close range weapons to take snipers out. It's really fun when you can completely shut down the sniper!
Chuggaconroy is the reason I picked up Splatoon in the first place. I owe hours of fun and my entire Splaturday series to him!
Also, Chuggaa, a very important tip with the Inkzooka: The higher you aim with it, the farther it goes, but in an arc. An Inkzooka shot can get to the range of an E-Liter 3K; and shoot far more often than it. And, because of the arc, you can hit people behind walls, 100% out of your sight.
I'm a sniper (well, not always but often) and I still don't really like Moray Towers XP I dunno, it often just turns into "who's got the better range" sniper battles, it gets boring after a while imho

No actually, it's not Kurosan (くろさん), it's Kurusan (くるさん), though ろ and る are very similar so if you don't know to look for it you could miss it. In Kurosan, Kuro is black, and san is Mr.\Ms.; I don't know what Kuru translates to, unfortunately, so I can't answer what it is.

The N-Zap 89 is the king of Turf Wars. It out ranges the aero spray RG & planting Sprinklers on Super Jump markers are just as cruel as ink mines but far more fun to troll silently claiming turf from great vantage points on all maps. The 85 & 83 are great turfing weapons but subs & specials are focused on hunting & support more seen in ranked battles.

I don't do snipes very often, but I still absolutely love Moray towers. It's one of the few in Splatoon 1 that really takes advantage of climbing walls with your ink, and I wish more levels in that game really took advantage of that concept.

How does Emile keep finding low Level and low skill people? It has been so long since I've seen people play as poorly as Emile's opponents in his Episode 1 and 2. I went through a stint where nearly all of the matches were with beastly people (might still be in that stint; I haven't played much for a week, or two). I would leave the queue to see the stats of the people in the match I just finished and for a while, I was playing with more S Rank people than… probably all other Ranks _combined_ (as if most people were S Rank) and I was playing with more S+ Rank people than A and A- Ranks (C and B letter range Ranks were fairly rare and I could go entire days without seeing low Level Rankless players), all in Turf Wars. This persisted even through 10-match streaks of not killing much; which last I heard, is how we're sorted in Turf Wars (killing vs. inking turf in the past 10 matches). This makes it tiering to try out new weapons. During this stint, more than half of the low Level people were definitely "Smurfs" (highly skilled people on new accounts pretending to be beginners), based not only on their k/d's, but especially their maneuvering (momentum-canceling and splatter-dashing all over the place; flick sniping and Burst-canceling). It's not all bad; it resulted in letting me feel accomplished by getting a tri-kill and a decent k/d on a team of two S+ and two S, while my team only had one S+ and three S, with a weapon I didn't use that much, but it means I can't relax anymore.
I saw another guy on UA-cam; "Dude," one of the best Splatoon players in the world, Smurf for a video series and found all low Levels and low skilled players (with some of them being about as bad as the Global Test Fire people before Splatoon came out). How are people finding these queues these days?
Personally, I play rollers a lot, and Moray Towers is really fun to play. Those long Narrow paths can be easily covered in one go with most rollers, and it feels really satisfying to push straight into the other team's side.
