Shak was impressive. That defensive play by all the guards in the second half was intense. Rylan’s movement without the ball offensively was important, and so was his energy and activity on the glass and playing defense. Hunter’s defensive play seems to be improving quite a bit.
It was nice to see this team press (you don't see that often with Bill Self teams)! With such a deep team and some really good defense (Moore, Harris, KJ, Diggy, Flory) we should do more of that. I hope defense becomes our identity moving forward. Moore, Harris and KJ feeding off of each other defensively in the 2nd half was fun to watch. Even Hunt got into it with a steal off a pick and roll!!! It was so fun to watch good defense turn into offense in our championship year back in 2022. Hopefully, we see more of that moving forward.
