A few years back I bought a ball made of recycled tires it didn't need air inside. Not sure the biggest size they made or if you can still get those but it would probably be the best for winnie.

@@ThePianistONE Yes that's my point a tire ball will probably be toxic given how Winnie likes liking the balls. It'd leach through the cover when she gets it wet enough.

My little electric hand pump didn't have the power to finish inflating, so I got the foot pump back out and within a few minutes the ball filled the cover! Honestly, I'm still like 4in low but my foot was getting tired.. read the ball instructions, measure it and keep inflating until you hit the recommended size and the cover will fit! Can't wait to take this out to the barn and let the horses play with this."
Everyone like the comment above and maybe someone on the Alveus team will see it? And if it does work, I wanna see that ball full sized, and see if Winnie likes playing with it fully inflated. :)
The only issue is that if it was inflated to full capacity, it would probably pop easier. Winnie is "a little" heavier than a human and I'm sure the ball isn't rated for cow weight (especially with her jumping on top of it like she does). With it not being blown up all the way, it has a little give to flex under her weight and possibly around any sharp rocks it's being crushed on top of (not being on the flat floor of a yoga studio). It would be like a pin, gently touched to a balloon at full capacity 😂 (Ik the cover is supposed to help with this but the difference in weight will probably be too much)
Yeah, Maya blew this one out of the park for sure. Not! If it was me I would of at least done what the kind person who brought it for the sanctuary told me to do. Just saying. Let's not bite the hands feeding us.
@@sporilight Except that if it were twice the size, it wouldn't be the exact height for her to jump on top of it. She'd probably bump and kick it around the way it's intended. Either way may as well at least try. Based on past experience, she's gonna pop it as-is.
@@Jeremy-kg1zr Maybe or maybe she will still jump on it. Male cows have to get much more vertical to get over top of female cows during mating. I'm sure she could do the same if she REALLY wanted to get on top of it. Either way, Maya can do what she wants. It's her sanctuary 🤷♀️

When hasan visited recently the ball was deflated and very dirty so winnie had obviously been having a lot of fun with it, which is all that really matters.
i eat up these descriptions every time. yes i will grab a snack and enjoy these cute and silly moments! thank you very much person who writes these descriptions! also i know the whole point of clips and stuff is that they’re minimally edited but it would be nice to include some of the stuff mentioned in the video (clip of winnie popping the old ball, stompy’s legendary connor headshot, etc.). just a thought!

There's one horse and two donkeys but they're all in the same pasture as Winnie so the balls can be for all of them :)

That ball gets bigger. Your pump is insufficient. Grab a hand pump and fill it up. It should only take a couple minutes to make it fit the cover.

I'm not sure how many times she needs to repeat that "the ball is fully inflated." They sent the wrong size ball for the cover.

"This ball is not bouncing because of the cover" No it's not bouncing cause the air pressure is too low. This ball is likely half of it's intended capacity but also, once it's filled up fully, it won't survive cow weight. So fill up it up but not completely.

I think the ball in this video is made for horses so it’s made out of material that can withstand a lot more weight and pressure than a regular ball. I don’t think a normal yoga ball would last even an hour with winnie around lol

Pretty sure they have those giant scales to weigh them. I know they weigh their other animals. Not entirely sure if they have it in the field enclosure but everywhere else does.
@magsisawkward At 2 years old they should be 1400-1800 pounds. She looks well fed and I could be wrong but Maya has said she is at the age where she would normally be slaughtered, which is 18-24 months and 1200+ pounds. Any lighter and the meat will be very lean and flavorless. Unless she's referring to veal.
I don't know how anyone could watch this video and continue to eat meat or dairy. That cow is beautiful.

1. The person was being rude about it.
2. Even though they bought it Maya was the one there in person with it. If she's saying the ball isn't expanding anymore, it's not. No point in trying to pump more air into that when it's not expanding and risking it popping in her face.
3. Sometimes even though you're the one who orders something, you don't get the exact product you expected.
