I liked this episode again. TE makes great plugins. All of them feel legit and analog and sound very good... for a budget. I wondered why they took so long to make a new plugin. Cheers
The wet/dry is very confusing that 100% means dry, it's usually the opposite. Also weird that the sidechain filter is a lowpass instead of highpass filter.
i demoed this and thought it sounded sweet on a drum bus. then i pulled up trackcomp 2 (purchased based upon your review and 30 day demo), setup the 2A model at 50% "response" to let more low end pass through, slow attack and mid release and 8x oversampling and matched it pretty well. and track comp has lots more flexibility and 7 other models! total sleeper bc the ui isn't 'analog' looking.

My first reaction to the design of it was, damn this plugin looks like a multimeter. It’s just that vertical orientation and the placement of the main control knob.
have used a little bit of Focusrite red equipment (The No 7 channel strip, mostly). I wonder if this is what they were trying to emulate? In that case, it would be maybe a Focusrite Red 3 emulation?

from the manual: "On the left most position, this knob only allows the processed “compressed” signal to pass through. Moving the control counter-clockwise to the right mixes in a percentage of the original “dry” signal .
