    When I have no clue of what to do in my life with all the things happening around me, I tune into BSWA. And then I let go of all the stress, worries. Thanks BSWA.

    Favorite quote from the Q&A at the end: "Negativity sometimes feels stronger [than kindness]. It gives you quick rewards, long-term problems." To whoever asked the question at the end, I really needed to hear this. 🙏🙏🙏

    Ajahn Brahm, I have watched so many of your talks from my iphone until I fall asleep at night. I am greatly encouraged. I learned a lot. This one is the most entertaining in the way you described and gestured how the monk made the garden. You were serious but I was laughing out loud (respectfully). From Los Angeles, California, USA

    Bumped into this vid when I am at my lowest point in life. Thank you for reminding me how to let go, let things be. Much of my suffering I realize was the inability to let things be, being such a perfectionist and control freak.

      He has been my saviour for last 5 years. I owe my sanity to him.
      I was suffering panic attack for 2 years and Ajahn Brahm helped me get rid of it completely.
      I haven't even met him. It is just these talks.

      Kum Kie Choong I listen to many of the BSWA talks. They are treasures. I also recommend ‘Overcoming Fears’ by Louise Hay. Or ‘101 Power Thoughts’ by Louise Hay. They are both on UA-cam. They are very beautiful and calming, and wise.

    talk starts @38:36 Brahm ruined me. I sat at a temple recently with an audience of 2, me being one of them, and didn't hear the bell 😂 The bhante had already started his talk by the time I opened my eyes. Very embarassing! 😂😂 He then reminded one should preprogram their internal meditation clock, advice previously given by Brahm I'd entirely forgot :/ Anyway, I hope the Abbot is recovering from his many duties well. :)

    Please can you expand on when you want to be kind, when you are kind to horrible people, sometimes they then try to take advantage of you, they see you as weak... How does one then deal with that? Of course one would get angry if people want to take advantage... 🙂

    • @mel2jones990
      @mel2jones990 5 років тому

      you can be kind by setting boundaries. Kindness isn't letting people walk over you. Kindness can just be hearing people...

      Life is like a banquet my teacher used to say, there are many foods and drinks. It's not wise to come to a banquet with expectation that all the foods is sweet.. enjoy all of it, sour, salty, sweet, spicy..
