It seems to me that Ishin's power is ability to ignite parts of himself. Igniting his zanpakuto, igniting his own blood that he spews out of his mouth. It can be that the risk of using bankai in a wounded state would be that with that much leaking bloood he could accidentially ignite himself, when it ought to be focused on infusing his zanpakuto.

People forget how powerful he was shown to be when he was first revealed eventhough he couldn't use his full power and never even used his bankai or shikai yet was able to show battle prowess on the level of captain bankais against aizen, fisher etc. The guy has to be ridiculously strong if he was shown to be that powerful with only like 1/5th of his full power. It was also stated by aizen that isshins bankai was so powerful that his own body couldn't handle it's power so everytime he used it, it ended up damaging his body. That's the only bankai that did that so isshins bankai must be super powerful.
I don't think people realize how much reading you have to do to make these bleach videos. Kubo literally left 75% of the bleach verse out of the anime.
@@trinichinee6426 Kubo was not a writer for the anime. He had almost no control of what was adapted for the show. Most manga writers don't when the series gets picked up. The arc the will be animated soon hopefully will allow them to flesh out the latter parts as the manga was cut short by almost 100 planned chapters. In general manga creators only provide input on the anime when the writers come to to them and ask. For instance for bleach although the Zanpakuto arc is filler, the creators of the anime requested the appearance of what each would look like and Kubu provided them with the art for all the characters that were used. The story itself he had nothing to do with though. It is a good arc well worth watching. There is a huge line between anime and manga for almost all of the ones that live in both worlds. I think there is a good chance the anime for bleach will end on a much better note now than how the manga was forced to finish.
Two things. Captains, specially new ones, has to have a very public bankai, it's part of the captain test. Also, the strongest attack Ichigo ever uses is mixing the getsuga with the gran Rey cero, wich is pretty much what you described, becase this cero needs the users blood to work
I always imagined Isshin's Bankai is being similar to Ichigo's in that he wears his power, but in Isshin's case, his shihaksho would be made out of compressed flames that would ignite anything that came too close. Making his Bankai (form at least) kind of like a much weaker zanka no Tachi West. That compressed fire cloak would be what puts such a significant strain on his body since Ichigo's cloak has a similar effect. Zanpakuto wise, i always pictured it as a giant sword, similar to Ginjo's or Ichigo's fullbring shikai, that could launch fire type Getsuga Tenshous whereas Ichigo's are pure energy. So his attacks wouldn't break through targets so much as burn through them. Edit: oh, you think something similar with his cloak. Cool.

Here's to hoping that we will get it in the coming anime or that Kubo will finall spill the beans on it. Preferably with a sketch like the ones in the novel.
Don't know if it's been mentioned, but just slight correction: Love Aikawa also has a flame-based Zanpakuto ( _Tengumaru,_ I think?). So this would make Isshin the third, not the second, Captain-level to be shown with a fire-type blade. If we wanna get more technical, Hinamori's _Tobiume_ (I think?) is also fire-based.
@@balian9177 yeah, Momo's a kido zanpakutou. And in a way, fire is the big dog which is why she used for based attacks even we saw it. Who knows what all else her zanpakutou can do seeing how proficient at kido she herself is as well
@@ameliakoke1852 facts, but Captain Amagai had something else (can't remember what it's called, bakuto?) plus his was a filler Arc so a lot of folk wouldn't consider mentioning him at all
I love Isshin. I hope they seriously do not squander the chance to do something meaningful in the filler arcs when the anime comes back. There is a true opportunity to expand on characters pasts and their hidden abilities. I really would love to see Isshin go full force. the fact that he was able to go toe to toe with Aizen in his base form shows that his abilities are nothing to sneeze at.
I'm guessing Isshin's bankai will be more akin to the head-Capt's Zanka no Tachi, West (Nishi: Zanjitsu Gokui). Since Isshin's sword & tassels were draped in flame during the shikai, it'd make sense if the bankai shroud Isshin in a fiery cloak (reminiscent of the "cloak" of Ichigo's bankai). Him not being able to use his bankai when wounded would make sense, because the fiery cloak wouldn't be able to be manifested there. Either that, or the fiery cloak would get into his wound and/or combust upon contact with his flowing blood (as we saw it do when Isshin spat his blood on his flaming shikai). The fiery cloak would probably increase Isshin's spiritual power & physical prowess, much like Ichigo's cloak does for him (namely his speed). If this is the case, I just hope Isshin's bankai is distinct enough from Yamamoto & Ichigo's. Hopefully he'll get a number of techniques like Byakuya & Yamamoto get w/ their shikai/bankai releases.
I pretty much agree with this but there is one thing i have to add... one aspeect of zangetsu's bankai is the compression of it's massive power that gives the speed... if we apply the same compression to engetsu then the result should be rather explosive... so his body would really be under a high amount of pressure and if he fails to control the blood consumption and such he could end up just exploding...
Isshin's powers were likely f*cking crazy, he was likely considered one of the strongest shinigami, I believe he was probably more powerful than Byakuya before the zero division revives him basically. The other thing to consider is that due to Isshin being a fire based moon bankai, he would have likely have been able to see the four hemispheres/cardinal directions/whatever of Yamamoto's Bankai, he would have been one of the ONLY people who would have been able to fully comprehend the craziness that was Yamamoto. So I believe Isshin actually trained with Yamamoto, the biggest tell for this is his extremely laid back behaviour on top of a pure Captain mentality, when he sensed danger, he stepped in IMMEDIATELY, it reminds me of Shunsui's behaviour, who was directly trained by Yamamoto as well. Isshin would likely defeat every single soul reaper who did not get a Zero Division boost, except Yamamoto, as Aizen even knew something had to be done about his bankai, when Aizen is concerned, you know something is up. We could theorize that Aizen wasn't concerned about Isshin personally, but more for his experiment, he was still very aware that Isshin had the power to obliterate his research, and he took action very quickly once that realization set in. Tl;DR: Isshin likely trained/was trained by Yamamoto, he had fire based powers and was from a noble clan, and had crazy potential exceeding Byakuya, and due to the fire based powers, he may have been one of the only people who could understand Yamamoto's bankai, and how powerful it was. Just think, if your the crazy powerful old man, and you could train with someone who truly understand, respects, and is in pure awe of your power, and is capable of withstanding it based on his own powers, he would have been one of the only Shinigami who would have been able to take the fire. He wouldn't stand to Yamamoto, but think of it like this: Who had their arm cut off and used a forbidden kido to attack Aizen in a non ascended state? Yamamoto. (although yes, he literally got blasted with his own power lol) Who tried their best to stand up to aizen in an ascended state? Isshin.
Yeah I agree with this theory, as bankai can be worn as shown with histugya and ichigo bankai. The zanpakuto that released form person body is not shown before. I agree with his theory
I think he could have used his Bankai however he would run the risk of destroying the very City and killing all the living and dead Souls that reside within the town
Yeah, exactly. Since he could use his blood to produce a burst of flames, I'm pretty certain any open wounds would just shoot out massive blasts if they're too deep. It'd probably mean he'd bring others in danger and possibly destroy Karakura town without being able to stop it. He probably can't cauterize his own wounds either with it to prevent this since he's probably immune to the flames.
It's interesting that both the blade and the two string tied to the handle both catch on fire. I was also thinking maybe the blood isn't fuel but maybe oil in the sense of blacksmithing. Using oils and other measures before/after forging can produce different results depending on how you do it.
This following thing is a Zanpakuto made by my imagination. I thought of a Shinigami with a blood-type Zanpakuto, but I didnt name it yet. The user could use shikai and bankai only when their blood drops (meaning when they are wounded). The shikai would make all wounds made by the blade to not seal, making the opponent bleed out. It would also cause reiatsu to be concentrated around these wounds. The blade would look like as it is made out of flowing blood. The bankai would be an armor made from blood, which resembles a hellhound. In this mode, the user can blow up the opponent's organs and body segments at places where the reiatsu is concentrated.
@Mr Nightmare oops, my bad, I forgot a detail. The blade resembles a broken sword, so its not even useful for fighting. But when the user activates the shikai, blood fills the remains of the sword, basically creating a normal katana. Also, when the user activates bankai, the enemy's blood flowing from their wounds flows directly to the blade's sheat/holder, storing it away for another time. I thought of this Zanpakuto as a blade that is useless my its own, but becomes powerful once the user kills their enemy. Because the blade ,,hungers for blood".
Isshin's blood acting like fuel makes sense seeing as the Shiba clan are known for explosions. So having Engetsu using Isshin's blood like gun powder is understandable.
What if in bankai his blood increase in temperature as his reiatsu is mixed with his blood along the heat of engetsu and in order to use his bankai he will need maximum focus and precise movement to use like rukia. In bankai i assume he could have done a fire getsuga tensho as powerful as hado 95 that yama used against aizen in the fake karakura town arc.
Maybe the reason he didn't risk it wasn't that it was a threat to himself entirely, but to surrounding areas? The fact that Isshin could drink blood and spit it out in a burst of flames could mean that if he went Bankai, his wounds would burst out flames, causing destruction around him, making it harder for him to manipulate the flames thoroughly.
I think they're going to draw out the anime quite a bit. I think they'll have the ability to expand on the story. Who's to say there wasn't more going on in the human world where Isshin had to protect his family from a Quincy attack in efforts to eradicate the rest of the remnant bloodlines? I hope we get to see this. You made it very interesting.
When I saw this video, it make me think maybe Isshin's bankai works like Rukia's (vice versa). He actually produce heat/fire from his body and his sword only medium to widen his attack area like Rukia said about her zanpakutou in TYBW. So that's why he need time and concentration to control the fire outputs making his Bankai used a lot of Reiatsu and risky if he's in bad shape. Idk just pure guessing 🤧🤷🙇
I personally think that Isshin should've used his Bankai + his Final Getsuga like technique to fight Yhwach alongside Ryuken using the most traditional Quincy techniques, Ginto, and perhaps a verison it Letzt Stil. (Remember, Isshin was the one that taught Ichigo that there's an ultimate secret technique that their zanpakuto don't want them to know or use, implying he knows it) And go make things more personal for Ichigo and Uryu and to drive the plot further, I think Yhwach should've killed them in that said battle. He killed their mothers, and now in this climactic battle, their fathers too, who are using similar versions of ultimate techniques they used. It would be both poetic, plot driven, and good for action. It's not like Isshin and Ryuken are necessarily needed in the story passed that point anyways
Nice video as always.... 😄 Anyways... I have a theory not related to the video but please read it if you want : Ever since i read the Burn the witch manga, I made many theories based of these sequels. Correct me if I'm wrong, the Bleach manga, never stated who was Yhwach's mother. The 5th noble clan still remains a mystery and the Soul Society was divided into two groups: Western and Eastern. SobI was thinking, if there's a king, there should be a queen. My second question, why did the 4 Great noble clans sealed the Soul King? Was there a grudge between them? So I was thinking, Yhwach was a broken child when he was an infant, he couldn't hear, see, or speak. His mother maybe did something like steal his powers since he has the same blood as the Soul King. I also had the assumption that the mother was from the 5th noble clan. So when the Soul King learned about this, he punished the Queen who was associated with the 5th noble clan into banishing into the Western part of Soul Society. They are either the first witches or the 7 fairytale dragons. Due to fear of getting banished, the remaining 4 clans planned to seal thr king and there Yhwach got mad and was slained by Yamamoto. Resurrected after 1000 years to start the Blood War arc and killed the one who slained him. Ended his father's suffering by absorbing him and became the new soul king. Didn't kill Aizen because he knew about the Soul Society's reality and killed the former Central 46, the one who became the underdog and covered the sins of the 4 Great Noble Clans. The Soul King divided the lands in order for theQueen to never Yhwach again. But this is just a theory.
Fire is alive. My theory is that isshins injury vs white wasn't stopping him from just "using" his bankai ,but it would have stopped him from controlling engetsus very nature which is to burn.
Ahhh the only thing we can do right now, speculate. Good thing Lazy Kubo didn't show us or told us anything about the father of his MC or we wouldn't be able to theorize and imagine his powers. Lazy Kubo really is considerate.
If Beyond Bankai becomes canon, I could see Ichigo's Zangetsu getting a fire elemental nature to pay homage to his Shiba heritage that he inherited from Ishhin.
My theory is, Isshin's bankai is somewhat like Tousen's. His bankai traps everyone in a fiery dome/globe where he can manipulate the flame to attack anyone he wishes inside it while keeping anyone outside away with its intense heat. He needs to be in pristine health to make sure he can focus his reiatsu to form a barrier around him while inside his bankai. While in bankai, he is still not one with his zanpakuto. Only in final engetsu state, he become one with his zanpakuto thus looking/being similar to Ichigo's mugetsu state which he may be able to achieve but never use.
He had to have lost his power in the first place like they kept on talking about. He's one of the few that knew about the final secret phase one would surmise that he used it that there was some cataclysmic event that caused him to use a final getsuga tenshou.
You are relight He lost them initially due to having his soul tied to prevent ichigo mother from dying . When she passed away he naturally gained his powers back
@@zaster101 he didn't get powers immediately back though. It took him years to recharge them or whatever have you. The King Fisher may have killed her but wasn't the one that took her Quincy powers.

I have a much better understanding about isshin now thx 2 ur information. But 1 question: im new 2 the bleach lore n im confused at how 2 ppl frm the same bloodline can use the same technique. Is getsugatensho a bloodline ability?
Two things, 1 Post tybw ichigo's Zanpakuto's base form is pre tybw zangetzu's shikai 2 If the hell arc continues I would love to see Ishin's bankai vs Masaki's Vollständig
You should read on Kagutsuchi as a reference to Isshin's Bankai. Im pretty sure this is pretty close to what we can expect. It would make sense now that Hell Arc is about to be the upcoming novel.
Chi tsuki/ blood moon would be a badass bankai. Isshin's blood being oil for his fire is amazing. Perhaps his bankai with a deep wound would lend him to blow up like a leaky 55 gallon barrel with a crack in it.
My theory for isshins bankai is his that he turns all his blood into fire and becomes a skeleton, he's a burning man basically. In this state his fire is much stronger, though not as strong as yammamoto's it is more fast spreading. His blade looks like ichigos but instead its more red either glowing red like heated metal or blood red with flames surronding it. He has complete control over his flames in this state he can increase there range from his body up to 6 meters. The fire will spread to any thing that his flames or blade touch. If his sword stabs you or the flames he utilises get too close to any open wound then the fire will spread into your circulatory system, you litterally burn from the inside. it spreads until it reaches the heart and then every blood vessel in your body, the flames burn until the opponent or isshin are reduced to a husk The main weakness of his bankai is a durability decrease to almost all attack types. So if he's punched, stabed or hurt in anyway its more detrimental, also its very painfull snd takes alot out of him the longer he's in that state. Now for a bonus theory for when I believe he might use this is against gerard valkyrie, someone online said it was hinted that they would fight before the deus ex auswalan happened, I believe that it would be a good way to kill him off since he is the heart of the soul king. Do any of you think isshin would die in this fight?
My guess is issin bankai uses his blood as it's fuel for its flames, the deep wound issin suffered broke his concentration which controls the use of his blood as fuel. So without great concentration issins blood would be used up in seconds by the bankai.
Maybe his bankai is using some blood from his body and turning it into flames, covering him with a Coat simmilar to zangetsu bankai or Yamamoto bankai(the flames Will probably come out of the inside of his body considering he is using his blood) Edit:or maybe his bankai is basically turning his blood into flames and releasing it,like completely get rid of ur blood and just replace it with flames
Maybe Aizen was one of the captains present during Isshin’s Captaincy test to see what his Bankai is or perhaps it a your theory about his spy equipment helping Aizen understand it during the captaincy exam.
I think that Isshin's Bankai may be more powerful than anyone is thinking, and it's because of the aspect involving his blood. There is an old, lesser known X-Men character named Adam-X, aka X-Treme, who possesses a power called Electrokinetic Haemopyrokinesis, or SANGUINE COMBUSTION. With it, Adam can send an electric surge through oxygenated blood, which leads to ignition of the electrolytes present in blood, causing a person to burn from the inside out. To use his power, Adam must first saturate opponent's blood with oxygen. He usually uses various blades to injure the opponent and cause bleeding, thus oxygenated their blood. Also sometime he uses the trigger word "Burn" to activate his power. When employing his power, his eyes glow with a reddish light. The intensity of the burn is variable: he is capable of producing merely a warming sensation, to incinerating a person within a matter of seconds. X-Treme can affect multiple targets with his power, the average intensity of which is enough to stun. Doing so, however, takes a tremendous effort, usually leaving Adam in a weakened state. After learning more about his powers, he stated that in theory he hadn't had a limit to how many targets he can affect at the same time. He also possesses an ability called Self-Burning where Adam can also ignite his own blood, which causes a great deal of pain to him, but greatly enhance his speed. He can only use it for short bursts. Now, I want to present you with a question: WHAT IF ISSHIN'S ABILITY TO IGNITE BLOOD EXTENDS TO HIS WOUNDED OPPONENTS. Drawing blood from his opponent could mean their end, if his Bankai allows him to ignite the blood on their body through an open wound! 💯💯💯💯💯 Also, maybe his Bankai is as antithetical to Yamamoto as Rukia's Bankai is to Hitsyguya's it's extremely powerful yet extremely damaging to the user's own body. I love the image of Isshin producing an Ichigo-like cloak (as in Ichigo's first Bankai form), and maybe he does this using his own blood, flowing it through the pores of his body and igniting it ... or maybe his whole body becomes engulfed. You know what would be cool though, if Isshin's 'Flame form' shared a similar shape/silhouette with Ichigo's Vasto Lorde Hollow form ... not identical ... but merely similar?!?!?! 🤯🤯🤯🤯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Just something that I was thinking about.... what if Isshins bankai is kinda the same as rukia ? I mean what if when he goes into his bankai state he become fire like Johnny storm from the fantastic 4 and that's why he can't go into bakai when injured cause his blood would just flame out like a firespout I mean since his body is flame maybe his skin is his only protection and if it's damage the flames would just continue to damage him . Like how rukia had to stay still and thaw out or she'd shatter . Maybe he would just flame out like an oil rig that's caught fire.
@@gejamugamlatsoomanam7716 Mugetsu/Dangai Ichigo most definitely wouldn't have been suppressed. Zangetsu would not suppress him because in a way, Ichigo not being a shinigami anymore was his endgame in which Ichigo both stopped hurting himself in battle and stopped being a shinigami, thus Juha not needing to kill him. The hesitance in Zangetsu in teaching him FGT was in the fact that on one side his goal is fulfilled, on another, he would not see Ichigo again and also the possibility of Ichigo dying against Aizen rather than surviving.
What happen if Ichigo use Letzt Stil (or Vollständig)? Quincy lose there powers because they are only humans and they bodies can't handle that power, but Ichigo is Shinigami and Hollow too...
You go too deep in thoughts Simo my friend. It seems simple Isshin's bankai most likely couldn't be released because the open wounds heavy blood flow would ignite and he'd explode and die. I added his bankai has something to do with the unique reiatsu in his blood. So it's the HOT BLOODED BANKAI! 😁
I assume that since his blood makes the fire stronger, his Bankai is similar to the West form of Yamamoto's Bankai where it surrounds him with fire. It won't be exactly like that but a little similar.
the problem with Isshin having a fire type zanpakuto is that man is it hard to think of an ability that is unique enough but also relates to fire. like Yama has that undead army thing which doesn't really makes sense if you think about it but then the skeletons are burning anyway so you think "eh close enough" and accept it as it is. and ok Isshin uses blood as "fuel" for his fire abilities but aside from making his fire blasts bigger what else can it do that's unique? see what I mean when I say "it's hard to think of something"
My theory is that it's a bankai that boosts Isshin's capabilities, like speed strengh etc. Just like Ichigo's bankai. It's a fire type zanpakuto and there's no denying it. It's name means "Flaming Moon" (En = flame, Getsu = moon) and it's realease command is Moero which literally means burn. I think that Engetsu is pretty much like a fire elemental version of Zangetsu. Instead of a black robe, Isshin has a fire cloak that is both the indicator of the bankai's state as well his armor. He has fire attacks, like a fire Getsuga etc. I like to think that Zangetsu is basically Engetsu's child, so it has the same attacks and works in the same way, but Zangetsu being a child is only half of Engetsu, so it has just the basics and no element, and the other half of Zangetsu comes from the other parent (and other sources). And I personally think that the bankai has nothing to do with blood and that blood attack was because of Isshin's royal blood or perhaps that because his blood is royal he can use it to enhance his abilities.

Wasn’t his fault
@@Maxjuliann why
@@JEMA333 its rough .. hope bleach final arc is good 🤞
@@trinichinee6426 Kubo was not a writer for the anime.
Isshin’s Bankai is like a matchstick if compared to Yamamoto’s.
Isshin can enter final getsuga form like ichigo. He taught his son that form after all but Yamamoto at prime is scary.
i always enjoy your videos, Simo san
Cool.
Still wish we got literally any interaction about the shiba and ichigo. At this point they should effectively be brought back into the royal family class listing cause of how pivotal they ended up being even after the loss of the classification
@@zaster101 we got interaction between them in the SS arc. And funnily enough that's exactly what Tokinada, the villain from the Can't Fear Your Own World Lightnovels tried to do. Reinstate the Shiba I mean.
@@corruptangel6793 the interaction in SS was limited though I meant more like ichigo actually knowing they are his family and we get a full view of some of the shiba clan I will say I did t know about the novel that’s dope should get to reading them.
@@zaster101 fair enough. That would have been interesting to see.
ive been waiting for this for so long! nice vid simo
Yo, I really like this theory. On the flipside, it makes me even angrier that we never got to see it. 😅 Isshin's Bankai must be absolutely badass in action. Here's to hoping that we will get it in the coming anime or that Kubo will finall spill the beans on it. Preferably with a sketch like the ones in the novel.
Isshin Shiba... Always fascinates me.
You are right about Tengumaru as far aa i remember but i think momos zanpakto is stated to be kidoh based, not pure fire.
@@balian9177 yeah, Momo's a kido zanpakutou. And in a way, fire is the big dog which is why she used for based attacks even we saw it.
Who knows what all else her zanpakutou can do seeing how proficient at kido she herself is as well
To be fair he did say Male character with a fire blade.
Captain amagai has a fire type as well
@@ameliakoke1852 facts, but Captain Amagai had something else (can't remember what it's called, bakuto?) plus his was a filler Arc so a lot of folk wouldn't consider mentioning him at all
Best speculation video i have ever seen really grounded and well studied congratulations!!
thank you for another amazing vid!!
Engetsu and Tobiume have really cool effects that involve fire
It's a Phoenix, guys. Just a Phoenix bankai, able to revive himself or something
Based on Ichigo’s inner world, I would say it rains blood then the blood ignites. Fire tornado and fire waves
Give this man a Zanpakuto! Btw Great contents bro!
He wouldn't stand to Yamamoto, but think of it like this:
Who had their arm cut off and used a forbidden kido to attack Aizen in a non ascended state? Yamamoto. (although yes, he literally got blasted with his own power lol)
Who tried their best to stand up to aizen in an ascended state? Isshin.
Nice video as usual!
There are a couple of shinigami with fire-based Zanpakuto; Yamamoto, Isshin, Momo, Amagai, Aikawa, etc
Love aikawa fire type zankpakutou?
@@widodoakrom3938 it has a fire element in it. Re watch his battle with Stark

If they ever animate a fight in TYBW where Isshin uses his Bankai the entire internet is going to meltdown
I love this theory keep it up
*Unohana's BanKai: Am I a Joke to you?*
@@gejamugamlatsoomanam7716 her bankai is more about acid, as far as I know.
Because the blade ,,hungers for blood".
dont worry buddy u dont need to name your little imaginary zanpakuto
Isshin's blood acting like fuel makes sense seeing as the Shiba clan are known for explosions. So having Engetsu using Isshin's blood like gun powder is understandable.
What if in bankai his blood increase in temperature as his reiatsu is mixed with his blood along the heat of engetsu and in order to use his bankai he will need maximum focus and precise movement to use like rukia. In bankai i assume he could have done a fire getsuga tensho as powerful as hado 95 that yama used against aizen in the fake karakura town arc.
I hope we get to see Isshin’s and Ukitake’s Bankai!
Simo the GOAT
I personally think that Isshin should've used his Bankai + his Final Getsuga like technique to fight Yhwach alongside Ryuken using the most traditional Quincy techniques, Ginto, and perhaps a verison it Letzt Stil.
(Remember, Isshin was the one that taught Ichigo that there's an ultimate secret technique that their zanpakuto don't want them to know or use, implying he knows it)
And go make things more personal for Ichigo and Uryu and to drive the plot further, I think Yhwach should've killed them in that said battle.
Anyways...
I have a theory not related to the video but please read it if you want :
Ever since i read the Burn the witch manga, I made many theories based of these sequels.
That is a nutty theory and I like it. I hope we get more of Aizen in TYBW and maybe he can release a bombshell of info and really shake things up!!
Fire is alive. My theory is that isshins injury vs white wasn't stopping him from just "using" his bankai ,but it would have stopped him from controlling engetsus very nature which is to burn.
Isshin himself has noted heavy injuries prevent him from fixing his Reiatsu properly, hence why he cannot activate it
Ahhh the only thing we can do right now, speculate. Good thing Lazy Kubo didn't show us or told us anything about the father of his MC or we wouldn't be able to theorize and imagine his powers. Lazy Kubo really is considerate.
If Beyond Bankai becomes canon, I could see Ichigo's Zangetsu getting a fire elemental nature to pay homage to his Shiba heritage that he inherited from Ishhin.
well... that kinda holds up i mean issen legit took his blood and spit it on white as fire during that battle
Isshin is borne of the blood, made men by the blood, undone by the blood
A type of flame unlike Zanka No tachi..... Isshin Manipulates Flames of Life..... like Primordial Beast Vermilion Bird.....it negates all Corruption and Burns the Soul into Eternity.....
I have a much better understanding about isshin now thx 2 ur information. But 1 question: im new 2 the bleach lore n im confused at how 2 ppl frm the same bloodline can use the same technique. Is getsugatensho a bloodline ability?
Two things, 1 Post tybw ichigo's Zanpakuto's base form is pre tybw zangetzu's shikai
2 If the hell arc continues I would love to see Ishin's bankai vs Masaki's Vollständig
You should read on Kagutsuchi as a reference to Isshin's Bankai. Im pretty sure this is pretty close to what we can expect. It would make sense now that Hell Arc is about to be the upcoming novel.
Anyone know the background music playing between 0:00 - 0:12 ?
Chi tsuki/ blood moon would be a badass bankai. Isshin's blood being oil for his fire is amazing. Perhaps his bankai with a deep wound would lend him to blow up like a leaky 55 gallon barrel with a crack in it.
Chigetsu is a better name
ure right about isshin would have liked to see dad vs quincy dad XD
My theory for isshins bankai is his that he turns all his blood into fire and becomes a skeleton, he's a burning man basically. In this state his fire is much stronger, though not as strong as yammamoto's it is more fast spreading. His blade looks like ichigos but instead its more red either glowing red like heated metal or blood red with flames surronding it. He has complete control over his flames in this state he can increase there range from his body up to 6 meters.
The fire will spread to any thing that his flames or blade touch. If his sword stabs you or the flames he utilises get too close to any open wound then the fire will spread into your circulatory system, you litterally burn from the inside. it spreads until it reaches the heart and then every blood vessel in your body, the flames burn until the opponent or isshin are reduced to a husk
The main weakness of his bankai is a durability decrease to almost all attack types.
Thats dope
I pray he gets to do the ending the right way in the anime. With all this hype, they’d be dumb not to let him
My guess is issin bankai uses his blood as it's fuel for its flames, the deep wound issin suffered broke his concentration which controls the use of his blood as fuel. So without great concentration issins blood would be used up in seconds by the bankai.
Maybe his bankai is using some blood from his body and turning it into flames, covering him with a Coat simmilar to zangetsu bankai or Yamamoto bankai(the flames Will probably come out of the inside of his body considering he is using his blood)
Edit:or maybe his bankai is basically turning his blood into flames and releasing it,like completely get rid of ur blood and just replace it with flames
Maybe Aizen was one of the captains present during Isshin’s Captaincy test to see what his Bankai is or perhaps it a your theory about his spy equipment helping Aizen understand it during the captaincy exam.
Whats the sound track at the beginning??
He also possesses an ability called
Self-Burning where Adam can also ignite his own blood, which causes a great deal of pain to him, but greatly enhance his speed. He can only use it for short bursts.
Now, I want to present you with a question:
WHAT IF ISSHIN'S ABILITY TO IGNITE BLOOD EXTENDS TO HIS WOUNDED OPPONENTS.
Who is stronger? Mugetsu/dangai Ichigo or Ichigo after King Palace training?
Bankai: ekiyu engetsu
(卍解:液油炎月)
4:52 no its just kido, yama-ji did the same with his wiunded arm
Can still be answered in hell arc...let's wait
What happen if Ichigo use Letzt Stil (or Vollständig)? Quincy lose there powers because they are only humans and they bodies can't handle that power, but Ichigo is Shinigami and Hollow too...
With Vollständig you don't use your power. Think of Vollständig like the quincy equivalent of a bankai.
Unless if you count the Bakkotō arc, technically it would be third Fire Zanpakutō. Shūsuke Amagai when has one as well
I think all the great noble families have similar zanpukto but with different techniques.
I like to think Kubo self inserted with Isshin.
WOW 👍
Basically, isshin's ingetsu is a nichirin sword that can use blood art. Lol!
Guys what's the name of the opening soundtrack with the game footage? Thanks!
I assume that since his blood makes the fire stronger, his Bankai is similar to the West form of Yamamoto's Bankai where it surrounds him with fire. It won't be exactly like that but a little similar.
Ishin isn't the second fire type male zanpakto carrier, Amagai had one too.
I just hope Kubo will be able to flush out all of the TYBW in more detail in the anime.
Second in cannon to have a fire zanpakuto don't forget captain amagi also had a fire based zanpakuto but he's from a filler arc
It would be cool if these two zanpacto were separated long ago and need a powerful curse breaker to reunite them 🧐🤯😎
the problem with Isshin having a fire type zanpakuto is that man is it hard to think of an ability that is unique enough but also relates to fire. like Yama has that undead army thing which doesn't really makes sense if you think about it but then the skeletons are burning anyway so you think "eh close enough" and accept it as it is.
and ok Isshin uses blood as "fuel" for his fire abilities but aside from making his fire blasts bigger what else can it do that's unique?
see what I mean when I say "it's hard to think of something"
Isshin released a big getsuga tenshou without even releasing his sword 😭🔥
Nope, shikai mode on
Actually love, momo are other fire type zanpakuto.
I think it's Love with the fire zanpakuto instead of Rose.
Momo zanpakuto is likely a kido master just like her,
Shooting fire is merely one kind of kido techniques,
Maybe Ichigo's getsuga is actually a black flame
why do iget the feeling he will use himself as a kamikaze

Who?

The only thing I've been curious about is what caused Isshin to use his version of the final getsuga tenshou
You know i think head captain knew about ichigo way before he became a soul reaper by his father... It just doesnt make sense that he wouldnt.
He may have suspicions like his looks, his zanpakto name and connections with exiled captains
How did I shin get his power back?
shinigami can chose to have there zampakuto released perminantly if they want
Stamina/Reiatsu drain. Plus the fact that releases turn off when the user goes unconscious, and souls still need sleep
@@jocoolshow ichigo and Kensei are 2 charecters that keep there zanpakuto is shekai permanently

And I thought Isshin's zanpakuto was similar to Ichigos as he say Getuga Tenshou. owo
That's my opinion on why he didn't use it
