Totally agree, except for the term Bass , it's a musical male term
Aarón Olivera They’ve been training her as a female bass since her Acapella Academy days, but Contralto works too :-)
Kaylah is an alto in the group but she’s also mezzo soprano because of her range and she sometimes switches harmonies with Hannah for example good as hell.
I really enjoyed this. As a 70 year young woman, I lived thru this evolution and to hear these songs sung so beautifully was so wonderful. Citizen Queen is now on my favorites list. Thanks for introducing me to them. As always, great review.

Nina and Kaylah are members of the SoCal VoCals who won the ICCA championship last year. Their championship performance is worth a listen.
Also the 2017 ICCA championship performance by the Nor'easters is probably my favorite A Cappella performance of all time. Their arranger is Shams Ahmed who's also one of the arrangers and producers here for Citizen Queen. Highly recommended.

😍Scott Hoying is their dad!!..He is so proud of his babies!. If you want live they opened for PTX during their mini Xmas tour and SLAYED live singing!! 👏😂
Scott is like a proud dad to these girls he helps Ben arrange with these girls and helped put them together, Scott always tweets about these girls and he lets us know they have uploaded or will upload. Kevin also did a little beatboxing with Cora the beatboxer for this group
How hard is it to dance and beatbox at the same time!?
And I love Kaedi's voice.

Hannah is mezzo soprano Nina is soprano Kaylah is an alto as is Cora the beatboxer Kaedi is alto, contralto, bass
it took 40 takes to get the 25 songs in under 5 minutes Cora the beatboxer was the only one not wearing heels ands she said her feet were sore after the shoot

This is for you ( and all those who are reading this and love vocal harmony). Compiled here is the best blind audition vocal harmony groups ( 2 to 4 members) from “The Voice ” in the last decade from around the world all in one youtube video. UA-cam “voice in perfect harmony” Yes, it’s 50 minutes in duration but you will hear a variety of excellent vocal harmonies.
My favorites are the quartet on the cover that you click, the 3 girl group ( second performance)that are called OG3NE that did a bee gees song ( they ended up WINNING THE FINALS! And that’s so rare for a vocal group!), the twins that perform “ The Rose” ( Bett Midler hit). And the last ( Russian quartet) that had me and one of the coaches in tears-even tho I didn’t understand a word. But I FELT it! But they are all so good,
When you have a free hour ( I know you are very busy)

Wow... this is the first time I watched them and I'm so impressed... the bass was so good, even though it wasn't as deep as a male bass, still it works so good
it works because everyone else's voices are higher, so it sounds a lot lower which is incredible
@@karenw90 yeah... you don't hear a female bass everyday. Sounds so refreshing

They are all talented but I worry they’ll become too much like Pentatonix using their same basic formula. Same arranger, same types of evolution videos, (even going from b&w to color like PTX evolution of music),same number of singers with the same voice parts and same choreographers. Hopefully if they become more successful and do more songs and videos they can figure out something that makes them different other than being all female.
Lilliputians The voice can sing only so many notes. The body can move in only so many ways. The eyes can only see motion and color and shadows in a certain way. Everything is derivative . If something reminds you of something else, and you find value and excellence in both, it's a double win.
PTX hit on a wining formula. Just like Baskstreet boys, NSYNC. 98. Degrees are all different, they follow the same "boy band" formula. People like a bit of familiarity as well.
