Have always liked watching Bonanza & the 3 brothers; then Adam left, sad it all came to an end. The first time I watched an episode was in Down Under, way back in 62. Time waits for nobody.

What happened to the black and white shows .
Bonanza was one of the first in color. In fact that's what saved the show from being cancelled according to Lorne Greene.
I wonder what happened to all those sheep Billy was the only one left and Ben offered him a homestead but Ben seems to hate sheep so I doubt the hospitality would be extended to the sheep.
Ben doesn't hate the sheeps. Simply he can't let all sheppers on his way to California crossing through The Ponderosa. Those are his lands. And it's well known sheeps and cows can't pasture in the same place. This man, Jed ,is a bitter one. He hasn't right to cross The Ponderosa.
He hates pumas and wolves too
