Great show! Its kinda funny that Ricardo Montalban and Marilyn Rhue would play a couple again,7 years later in the Star Trek episode "Space Seed"☺.

Can you tell me native American what type of food they sent to whites. if there were famine it would have effect the native Americans whose food was buffalo meat, can you tell me they were very big farm holder or something else. if whites were not have come to America I guarantee you all native Americans would have died because of famine , hunger and many diseases and we would have only their bones in museums.

The power of "PRAYER" can achieve anything to those that have faith in Christ. I love how this episode depicted how a Christian struggles, and overcome what the world throws at us! :)

123kkambiz I don’t know what your reason for thinking that way about prayer but money, luck, and hard work have its limits. I’ve literally seen prayers happen and if you don’t think it’s true then you just don’t actually know how they work.
A pity it's not the original beautiful music,but the acting of the actors - great.I love Bonanza from childhood till now.

@@billbob8517 That's when the women carried themselves in a feminine manner, and the men carried themselves in a masculine manner. Now, it seems there's a lot of "neutering" going on.
When feminism first began, it was needed to right some wrongs. But as time passed, socialists and communists infiltrated the movement and it morphed into something very ugly.
As a woman, I've held some work positions that at the time were traditionally considered "a man's job". And I did just as well (and in some cases, better) as any of my male coworkers. However, my mother taught me that no matter what job I had, it didn't mean that I had to sacrifice my femininity in order to do it. So I continued to carry myself in a feminine manner. I never tried to act like a man, in order to do what was considered a man's job. I still behaved as a lady and not "butchy" or even "bitchy", if you get my drift... ♦️💃👱♀️🌹

The first episode of Bonanza that I watched! After that, it was all love!
They're always saying things like "pa can take care of himself" . No he's laid out in an Indian hut near stabbed to death, "little Joe can take care of himself" nope he taken on a guy three times his size and he's behind a barn in bits. "Adam can take care of himself" wrong again. lee Marvin has him digging a hole to the other side of the world without food or water. I think Hoss is actually the only one in that house who can take care of himself

A troubelling for me. All the prejustices portrayed in this episode make me really angry. Because it didn´t happen just back then, but it´s present every day. By all the good meanings from the Cartwrights - the essence of it makes me cross. Yet, i love watching this series. Thanks for uploading. - Mitakuye oyasin -
Yes me to. It made me a little mad they were saying they were good Native Americans because they were embracing the white peoples way of life. I think for it to be truley good, both sides have to be accepting parts of each other and intergrating together.
The same way a lot of New Zealand is trying to intergrate more Māori traditions, language holidays and so on. Taking on some of their values while bringing your own.
But that’s just from me a little kiwi down the bottom of the world.

and a great veteran supporting actor Roy Engel as Doc Martin a very good episode,wasn't fond of the fake theme music however because of the copyright laws using the
original,

Matsou's brother , Anthony Caruso, played "Bela Okmyx" in Star Trek epi "A Piece of the Action".
Amazing - Bonanza had so many actors who played characters in Star Trek TOS - 2 shows, 2 final frontiers - both fictional, one based in reality on earth, the other on the scientific absurdity of intelligent life beyond earth.

A good movie, but a sad one. It’s a sad commentary when the red man and the white man cannot live side by side to each other in peace. And a pox on that hateful one man, Ike. He played his role very convincingly, and with bright blue eyes too.
