this is the best tutorial, like legit, not much talking, straight to the point, and I can learn many from this video, thank you so much✨🤍 I hope you have a nice day✨
that's also a great way to do it with fabric pieces, I'm interested in experimenting with that as well or a combo with embroidery maybe even a pearl or bead here or there ;)
I want to fix my plushies as the eyes are made out of vinyl material I don’t like as one of the eyes are to tear out the black pupils, this is a best way to do it! Just trying to find a way to stitch onto it.
I'm just starting embroidery and this is very helpful thank youuu🙏 btw I was wondering, I'm planning to make eyes for my amigurumi, once they're done, is it better to glue them or sew them to the head, if I may ask? Or is it better to embroider the head directly instead of making patches?
Hi!😊I'll say that if you are comfortable with embroidering (or if you're not, but you just want to make a simple shape, like black round eyes), then embroider the head directly, it would be quicker and they'll stay nicely in place. However, if you're not sure on how it may turn out, where to place the eyes, or if you want to use a stabilizer to help you embroider a difficult pattern, then making patches is a great option. I'd not recommend using glue alone, it's not secure enough, especially if you plan to wash your amigurumi in the future. It's always better to sew, you can also use glue + sew to make it extra secure, but it's optional😄
@@tedDIYbear thank youuuu I've been wondering around about it these past couple days. I'm a total newbie when it comes to embroidering, I'm yet to have the confidence to sew good eyes directly to the head but I was informed that it's better to do so (my grandma said so too, that it's fine if I fail I'd just have to make a new one which I'd have to crochet another head and it'd take a looong time, I'm also really lazy). I'll take your advice and start with patches first until I get a hang of it. Once again thank youuu
nvm! it's that piece that was there as a pre set to ensure the stitching stayed true to the og drawing (self adhesive stablizer which was mentioned at the beginning of the video!)
Hello 😊 I plan on doing a dinosaur plush, yes ! Unfortunately I won't have enough time this year, but early 2022 for sure ! What kind of dinosaur would you like me to make ?
I have a lot of embroidery thread and other related items given to me by my mom and was wondering what to do with it. I recently started making amigurumi. THANKS❤❤
Hi 😊 You can find two videos on my channel that show how to make moving limbs ('Teddy Bear DIY..' at 7:28 using plastic joints and 'Mini Teddy Bear DIY..' at 17:04 using bolts and nuts).
Thank you! I'm not sure if I just missed it in the video, how many strands of the embroidery floss do you use? It looks like less than the full 6. But I can't tell if it's just 1 or 2.
Hello! This is such a lovely tutorial! I'm planning on trying it out soon but I do have a question. If I plan on doing it on a separate cloth instead of directly on the plushie, what cloth do you find works the best? I know you said any fabric of choice, but I was wondering what your go to was? Again, thank you for this tutorial, it's such a life saver! (Embroidery machines are expensive!)
Hello! I'm glad you enjoyed my video 😊 I like to embroider on natural fabrics with a tight weave, linen is my favourite. To secure the ends of the threads, I tuck them under the embroidery stitches that I have made on the back. Ha! I wish I could find an embroidery machine that isn't so expensive, I like to embroider by hand, but it's very slow haha.
If I am using a pattern for a plushie, would it be possible, before i sew the two head peices together to embroider they eyes straight onto the fabric of choice for the plushoe instead of using separate fabric?
That was the Best Tutorial Ever! But how do you secure the threads/thread behind the Linen? I mean, there must be a knot or something like that, that the thread doesn't open again, especially, when you switch the color of the thread. Do you know what i mean? Also, when i start, didn't i have to make a knot too? Or do i just start and come with the needle and the thread on it and just start, without making a "secure knot" on the back when i start? And how do i end this? No knot? Do i just cut the thread when i'm finished the piece?
Hi!! I have a question, when you embroidered the first eye, did you use regular sewing thread? Because embroidery floss is much thicker, and it’s harder to do smaller details like that! :0 Also this is a lovely tutorial thank you for sharing and making our sewing/embroidery journey much easier ❤️❤️
From my own experience, embroidery threads are actually 6 threads wound together. If you need to do smaller details, you can just split those six threads apart and then only use a couple of them. Hope this helps!
If I was to draw my one eye designs would I be able to use the same method. I make alot of amigurumi dragons and want to embroider eyes on some of them instead of using safety eyes(not safe for small children) I have done some on a different dragon embroidering the eye right onto the head but it's more difficult to get the right shapes I need epically on a black dragon they turned out good for what I was going for but would like to learn how to do eyes on patches that I could sew onto my stuffed animals
Hey, planning to make my own plush and this tutorial will definitely help! but uh, would it be possible to attach the eyes without use of an iron and if so, then how? (i.... might have one but i'm not 100% sure. And even then i don't actually know how to use one so i'd have to ask my mum for help which is something i'd like to avoid if possible.)
I want to embroider minky by hand with this method, would it look the same on both sides? Like if I focus embroidering on the wrong side, will it look the same on the right side?
Hello, usually the side you embroider on will look better than the other side. I know that there is an embroidery stitch called "double running stitch" (also known as Holbein stitch), that is identical on both sides. I have never tried it though.
hi! I have a small question, do you have to use this ironing sticker thing to attach the embroidery to the plush? I want to make a plush with embroidered details, but I don't have that sticker thing and I already spent enough money on that project

Thank you ❤️ I'm glad you liked my video!
All I’ve been doing is using separate fabric pieces. But now thanks to this I can finally put my skills to the test thanks to this video. Thank you

This is so clean!! I'm excited to use these techniques! They look so professional😍
I am making props for a cosplay that require embroidered eyes! This is so helpful! Thanks 🥰🥰
I've been looking for a video like this for days now :). thanks to your comprehensive instructions I finally understand the process!
This was very helpful, thank you!
It was beautifully done, thank you!
This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you!
Great video, great examples, and PDF, thanks so much!
Thanks for the video ❤

What is the stabilization thing you’re talking about
@tsunemara it's the peice you see in the video keeping the fabric in place without moving too much
it's called an embroidery hoop
nvm! it's that piece that was there as a pre set to ensure the stitching stayed true to the og drawing (self adhesive stablizer which was mentioned at the beginning of the video!)
Hi, I was wondering if you would do a dinosaur plush this year? Your instructions are really easy to follow. Thanks for uploading!

@@tedDIYbear Great! I will be on the lookout. I would love for you to do a triceratops, but is up to you. 😊 Thanks for responding!
Love this! Thank you

Again a great video! Keep up the excellent work! I'm looking
forward to another awesome upload! Take care and stay in touch! 💕💕

Would it also be possible to attach these eyes to crochet amigurumi?
I think it's possible, yes.
which fabric did you use for the embroidery hoop? I've tried poking the embroidery needle but the end wasn't sharp enough to poke through
I'm a complete newbie at embroidery
Hello 😁 I used linen. It's my favorite fabric to work with.
Do you have to iorn the back of the eyes? I make amigurumi and I use mostly acrylic and cotton yarns
Hello 😁 I iron the back of the patch to glue it onto the fabric, then I secure everything in place by sewing all around. The iron step is optional.

Do you have to use a stabilizer if doing it directly on the fabric of the plush?
Hello 😁 You can do it without a stabilizer, but I find it easier with one.
What is the backing fabric you use to stitch on so I can get some?
Can you use normal sewing thread or is that too thin
عالیییی❤

Hello ☺️ I'm a bit late, sorry! Hope you were able to make the teddy bear. You can use glue instead of an iron. 🧸
@@tedDIYbear thank you! tbh i have a huge bad habit of procrastinating so i haven't even finished the eyes yet.

are those adelaide's scissors from over the garden wall? because they look beautiful and im jealous :(
These are my favorite scissors, so lovely! ❤️
I do have a question…. Idk if it’s a stupid one but after making the eyes how u put them on like plushies?? 🥲😗🙋♀️ …..
It's in the end of the video
Is there a sewing printer machine that can make thread plush eyes like a 3D printer?
Hello ☺️ Yes, there are embrodery machines that can thread eyes like that, and even more. However, it's a very pricy item.
@@tedDIYbear merci beaucoup !
Did you split the thread..?
HI ! 😊 Yes, I split the thread, I used a single strand for each color.
@@tedDIYbear if you use a single strand, will several strands go into one hole?
cant i just draw on the stabilizer? i dont have a printer :(
Oh, i can!! :D thank you so much for this tutorial
You said that was the easy way of applying the detail onto thr fabric, whats the hard way?
Hello, the hard way is to embroider free hand, which means with no printed pattern to guide you.
@@tedDIYbear if you were to do that could you draw a design on the fabric and embroder it that way
💋💋💋💋💋💋
hi! I have a small question, do you have to use this ironing sticker thing to attach the embroidery to the plush? I want to make a plush with embroidered details, but I don't have that sticker thing and I already spent enough money on that project
Hello, you can sew the embroidery patches without using stickers, but it is less easy.
