M y 110 as an engine drain plug underneath the sump, on the side of the sump is my oil level switch . Do you have a oil level indicator ? I would do all the welding first.

Hi, I had a look yesterday and can't see any oil level indicator on the dash only the usual oil pressure light.
I will be completing the welding before diving into any other tasks. I keep looking different areas of the car and see more that could be done to improve it although it is not a necessity that it should be done......"Restoration Creep!!"
I should have some time to do some welding this week....
      Cheers David

The fuel gauge as 2 functions , fuel and oil level I have got a switch on the dashboard . Perhaps your car doesn't have that facility. Check your hand book if you have one.

I've just checked the handbook and another look in the car.
The handbook covers the 80 and 100. The 100 does have the dual gauge/switch but the 80 does not..

do the welding first then pull the engine it can all be painted steering box resealed etc dont start to many jobs as it becomes a storage problem and depressing as you move forward with little wins one at a time is the way to go

You're right, I'm just welding the chassis, then the splash panels before moving on to the next jobs, of which there are many. I'd love to take the body off the chassis but just don't have the room. Each completed job is a boost.
