Solving and graphing and solving compound inequality into two separate inequalities

  • 👉 Learn how to solve and graph compound linear inequalities. A compound inequality is an inequality having more than 1 inequality sign. To solve compound inequalities, we use inverse operations, applying the inverse operation to each side of the compound inequality.
To graph the compound inequality on the number line, we either have a region with two endpoints satisfying the inequality or we have two regions with one end point each going in opposite directions.

I know he knew to divide by the -2, b/c he displayed it in the answer: however I believe that is what the 1st student asked about the flipping of sign b/c we divided by a - number. He made a bit of a mistake in this one. The sign would have flipped and then flipped again to write it appropriately.
