Brother, I have been binge watching your vids for about month and I gotta tell you, I’ve never left not learning something super-useful. Thanks so much for what you do, really.
Applause! Applause! Excellent video. Well presented and edited. There are a LOT of useless airbrush videos, long winded and very short on substance. Well done. Best of luck.
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear Probably the language barrier is preventing people from commenting... anyway I've been watching your videos for quite some time and I am very thankfull for the effort! I hope i will get to you're level in the future.
Love tip #3 - the splatter technique. All I knew about was using a toothbrush, not an airbrush to get this effect. Thanks! How long does the paint mix last in those bottles before drying out?
Hey just wanted to say that your channel is spectacular, I just got into the custom sneaker game. Started painting a pair of AF1 Mids, about halfway done as of tonight. Going through a ton of your videos and as a beginner they're so inspiring and helpful. You earned a subscription from me for sure, keep doing this awesome stuff.
With the the lightning effect.. to add color overtop the white.. do u add more 2Thin to really thin out the paint? Or something else? And what ratio would this be? Thank u
Nothing else will work quite as good since 2thin is made specifically for angelus paint.. but a different company like liquitex or golden will make an airbrush medium
Hello! Do you know if I can use an AirBrush to paint Porcelain? I ask this because the porcelain process is powder based paint, mixed with oils to turn it into liquid form
Me and my friend are starting our own custom shoe business. We want to get a good start and get recognized. Should we start off really cheap? What do you recommend
We had for a one bit but it became hard to balance with the amount of effort we want to continue to put into the UA-cam videos! But thank you for even considering that
Hey. I need help. I’ve only got Ajax fabuloso here at where I’m at. And I’m not sure if that’s suitable. Could u help me have a look and see if it’s cool to clean up the airbrush with pls?
So D check it out. Love what ur doing by the way. So i painted the swoosh on my Nike's. I followed all of ur directions on prep and paint. I used 2 soft and duller and paint and finisher. All Angelus products. Was super jacked about how amazing they look. But it was short lived cuz the very first time I wore them my awesome paint job cracked!! Any tips on how not to have my dreams of being a top shelf customizer crushed by cracking paint???
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear yea it did take a few coats. I think that was the problem. I just got an airbrush I think im gonna use it exclusively for background. That should cut down the paint thickness a ton you think? And I didn't prep with deglazer or sandpaper. Just taped off the swoosh. Can I show pics on here??
It depends on what exactly you want to do with the airbrush....if your looking to do finelines or not....various airbrush can create beautiful fine lines like the iwata, harden steenbeck and the gsi creos as well....those I recommend for fine lines....they are great brands both gsi and iwata are both made in Japan and steenbeck is made in Germany.....all three brands are phenomenal.....

Great video for a beginner like myself. Question, where are the links? I did not see them.
With the the lightning effect.. to add color overtop the white.. do u add more 2Thin to really thin out the paint? Or something else? And what ratio would this be? Thank u
Yeah I do, probably double the 2thin I would normally use for a color
Awesome!! Thank u
you are awesome 😍
🙌🏽
if i were to air brush onto fabric shows, would I need and equal amount of 2-Soft and 2-Thin and also the paint?
What else could I use to thin paint if I dont have too thin to mix with
Nothing else will work quite as good since 2thin is made specifically for angelus paint.. but a different company like liquitex or golden will make an airbrush medium
Hello! Do you know if I can use an AirBrush to paint Porcelain? I ask this because the porcelain process is powder based paint, mixed with oils to turn it into liquid form
Still haven’t mastered the air brush yet. It’s kinda nerve wracking!😬🤗
Yeah takes a little getting used to, but gotta dive in and you’ll get the hang of it.
Me and my friend are starting our own custom shoe business. We want to get a good start and get recognized. Should we start off really cheap? What do you recommend
Colton Hoelscher paint as many pairs of your own friends and family shoes for free as possible and build out your portfolio
Do you have any other recomandation for thinner? Not the angelus one.
Theres other mediums out there by brands like Golden that will be an airbrush medium, but I wouldnt recommend anything besides Angelus.
You should create a patreon about customizing sneakers i would definetly pay for that lol great vid btw
We had for a one bit but it became hard to balance with the amount of effort we want to continue to put into the UA-cam videos! But thank you for even considering that
fabuloso!
Sound advice 👍
How do you seal the paint..do you used clear..?
Liquid kicks matte finish
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear thanks for the info !!
Great
Will the angelus paint get frozen after a while?
Yes it’s meant to be stored in a controlled temp room
Hey. I need help. I’ve only got Ajax fabuloso here at where I’m at. And I’m not sure if that’s suitable. Could u help me have a look and see if it’s cool to clean up the airbrush with pls?

@@DeJesusCustomFootwear Thank u. U’re the invisible teacher available online for as much guidance as possible. Appreciate it alot. Keep going!
do you just use the regular angelus paint??
Can you use other paints than angelus to spray point
what vinyl do you recommend for stencilling on shoes without peeling off the paint?
For a super deep dive check out last weeks video on multi layer stencils... but depending on your skill level either Oracal 811 or fdc 3700

@@DeJesusCustomFootwear they are not AF1's. I think they are suede

Hello, I am looking at getting an airbrush. Do you have any recommendations for a beginner?
Badger patriot 105
Do you thin your paint for the badger airbrush? Just got mine and paint is leaking through the nozzle
Yup and always run it through a strainer!
Can you mix acetone with acrylic paint to put through an airbrush?
Are you trying to thin your paint? Or what are you hoping the acetone does?
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear yes to thin the paint instead of using “thinner”
@@lulu36890 no acetone will ruin the paint.
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear yes to thin the paint x
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear so I need thinner 🤣

Wujuuu!! 🤩🎊
Can I soften my laces with a hair dryer? I am making my first custom and my shoe laces are stiff.
Youd want a heat gun for that process since it can get even hotter.
Ok thanks
Appreciate you! Just starting off…
Hii, Which product do you apply 10% to? 🤔
Duller
Do u think that I have to use 2 soft as well with my airbrush? If so how with the 2 thin involved?
2 soft replaces 2 thin when airbrushing on fabrics.
