  • Sneakerwatch digs into its archives to pull up a classic interview from 2012. Going into his coveted Sixth Man of the Year Award season, Earl “The Goat” Smith Jr., and his brother Chris sat with Sneakerwatch to talk about Lebron’s then upcoming LeBron 10.
At that time, Lebron’s 10th silhouette was rumored to retail for $270 (it eventually retailed for $190), and J.R. wasn’t the biggest fan of the price. Providing a very interesting point, J.R. states that if he was going to pay $270 and roll his ankle, he would rather do it in some Js, but if he was meant to roll his ankle, he was going to do it regardless of the shoe. Chris then said, these aren't like the Mike’s, and it wasn't the shoes. However, Smith did say that he liked the 10 better than the 9, but was more anticipating the 10 lows. Smith got plenty of wear from both the low and the regular, so it's clear that he was a fan.
You can check out the interview above.
