3D printed self-excited actuators and robot applications

  • Suzumori Endo Lab, Tokyo Tech has developed self-excited pneumatic actuators that can be integrally molded by a 3D printer. These actuators use the “automatic flow path switching mechanism” we have devised.

    On the soft oscillators, could you run a multi-frequency unit by changing the length of freely moving outer shell. If you used s more conventional motor to slide a sleeve up and down the soft arm, wouldn't the frequency of oscillations go up as the free length decreased?

    more interesting ideas.. Now, how can you incorporation that into the muscles of a robot along with what you already have going? Many good ideas are converging into one grand complex notion..
