Hi everyone, I noticed a bit of confusion on why I labeled the CRJ-200 as "Mitsubishi" instead of "Bombardier". Mitsubishi recently acquired Bombardier as a company so, if you look on Flightradar24, all CRJ planes are listed as "Mitsubishi CRJs". I understand the planes were initially "Canadair CRJs" and then later "Bombardier". I guess it's similar to how the Bombardier C-Series was renamed to the Airbus A220 but maybe not. Still, from now on, I'll refer to the CRJs as "Bombardier" since that's what I'm more used to and to avoid confusion. Thanks!
Your comments and experience with the flight attendant, Mr. Donald, were awesome! I love the little airports of Central Illinois! Looking forward to you flying out of Decatur and a trip report!
We love the little airports. We fly out of Bloomington all the time. Peoria has free parking too. I just flew in to Champagne in August and that was nice. We are flying out of Champagne on the 24th of this month.
We fly out of Indy too. Parking isn’t too bad of a price. I think it’s $9.00 a day, but most of the time we do park sleep and fly. We are even do that in Champaign. They changed our flight from 8:15 to 6:00. We live around an hour north so don’t want to take a chance on the weather. We are staying right next to the State Farm center. For $100 a night and you can leave your car there and take their shuttle to the airport. I wish there was a game that night, but they will be playing at Northwestern that night.
Ok I’m officially really jealous! People don’t usually say that on a route like this or from a small airport like BMI but I’ve passed this airport over the last 15 years several times to visit family in Central IL and I’ve always wanted to take the short hop from Chicago to BMI. I’ve been dying to fly out of BMI and even after 15 years, I still have not! But great video, man!!
great vid my dude i laughed when u said “im hopping on everyone’s favorite plane” i knew u were making a joke because of how everyone hates it so that got me laughing 😂
@@ASAviation I would love to see a trip report on that route! Speaking of delta, do you know why they discontinued service at PIA? I have tried to find information online but the only thing I could find was that they stopped serving PIA because the two airports were too close together. I don’t know if that is true though.
It's not a retro livery. Air Whiskey is a contractor, not a subsidiary, and the only use the AA paint due to their contract. That is their "normal" livery, and not a retro. They have quite a few planes with their company livery. It's no different than when you see Skywest or previously, Mesa liveries.

Air Wisconsin flight attendants being the best in the industry as usual.
I'm a flight attendant at mainline, and they're so kind. What's sad is they're the lowest paid in the industry. I love Air Wisconsin FAs.
Many fond memories from my childhood of going on vacation flying out of BMI on AirTran. Love that airport and miss AirTran
Air Wisconsin is an amazing company .
Kudos to Donald. Above and beyond to make his guests feel welcome. Some of these guys and gals really bust their butts

The convenience never gets old! It’s great BMI, Peoria, and Springfield all have free parking. We could use that in Champaign too!

I love flying out of BMI! Super convenient and everyone is very friendly. Thanks for the video.

Nice capture! I didn't even know this livery existed. :) Complimentary parking? That's something you don't hear everyday.
It’s a unique livery for sure. The free parking is unique too.
The only CRJ flights I have truly enjoyed were on Independence Air. Great service and I liked the cabin furnishings
Air Wisconsin was also AKA back in the day US Airways Express until 2015 and then it was all American Airlines!
i flew on that same tail number aircraft. quite small but fun
I saw that plane in Cleveland! Beautiful airplane it just looks….so simple
Looks like a nice simple flight and for those who are critical hopefully bearable for this short flight, nice work bro!
BMI is my home airport. There regularly. The free parking is a perk, and usually zip right through security.
Everybody is getting the CRJ-200 in their recommends. This is not a complaint 😂
6:17. I agree. We don’t want a repeat of Air Florida flight 90, do we?
Thats awesome that they offer free parking, you dont really see that!
Nice video

Great trip report AS!
The AW Retro Livery looks nice on the CRJ-200
Thanks a lot man! Yeah it’s a beauty for sure.
Great video! Sounds like you had a good flight! Have you done a trip report on delta from BMI-ATL?
Thanks a lot! Sadly no, haven’t flown that route in years but would hope to sometime soon!
