The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

Nobody devotes and makes sacrifices like this for no reason, people have literally been so close to death but somehow the lived when they prayed or had people pray for them. I think the young lady brought up some great points. Many Christians have a finger pointing mentality. We are not greater than sinners saved by grace, from the moment we are born again to the day we physically die and enter glory. I like where Cliffe called the church Christ's hospital. Great way to put it. I hope and pray that more churches start moving in that direction.

Well, we are greater, just not by our own merit. We can’t boast saying that we are righteous because it wasn’t by our actions but by the grace of God. We are made justified and holy by Jesus, so we are greater than a normal sinner. However, I understand what you meant; we are still sinners like them.

Right Jesus said in John 7:24 “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge a righteous judgement” finger pointing is literally judging what you see, when a righteous judgement is judging what you can’t see. Which means to think twice before calling somebody something when you don’t know anything about the person. Judge only what you can’t see, meaning maybe that person is truly a good person but something happened to them so what you do is talk to that person on the side and ask questions, gain their perspective on the issue, then correct them on what they did. That is a righteous judgement🙏🏾

Including me, i used to believe that i wasnt saved bc i didnt become perfect right after. I learned through studying the bible through preachers that you dont become Jesus when saved. It is a life long thing and by Gods grace i am forgiven. It doesnt give me the right to sin willy nilly bc the Holy Spirit will convict you (if you dont have conviction then i can say without a doubt you are not saved.) John gosples are about KNOWING you are saved. When saved, its your soul and the Holy spirit vs your flesh. The new creature (your soul and and the Holy spirit) can not sin, its your flesh. Thus we will never be 100 percent as a whole and again Im saved bc Gods Grace. i hope i was able to express that correctly. This came from the question the lady asked about shame.

I was a pron addict for years before becoming a Christian and I had to admit my sin before others(not the woman just the men). It wasn't easy, but it was so much weight off my shoulders.

Cliffe could have pointed to the Dead Sea scrolls that show how the Torahs message had not changed for over 4000 years as a literary work. The Great Isaiah scroll was written about 600 years after Isaiah lived and is possibly a copy of the original and is almost word for word exactly the same as the Leningrad Codex that we take our modern bibles from.

To answer the actual title of the video : Should we learn from society and live for society? absolutely 100% .. but if along the way you find comfort or solace in belief in a God, that's ok. Most Western democracies have improved in various ways over the last few hundred years in terms of healthcare, food production, treatment of women, gay people, ethnic minorities, is it perfect?, no, we can always improve society.

You're argument seems to be self defeating. You say we should live for society, ok, who's society? The "Western Democracy" as you say? What about the 1930s German Society? What about Stalin's society? How about Mao Zedong's society? What's wrong with USAs1850s society? Worst of all you then sight the improvements in the way women/minorities/homosexuals are treated, but if society as a whole were to change and agree that any of those, or others, should be exiled does that make it right? Going with what society thinks is ok is what led to the deaths of millions in Russia/china/etc.. With the spread of communism, millions of jews slaughtered with nazis, segregation in the USA, etc.. The fact thag you KNOW that the mistreatment of the aforementioned groups is WRONG is wonderful proof that God exists.

We cannot abolish or remove all of our sins by our own efforts; even by doing good deeds or being religious. Cliff means Historical narrative would never dare to present fiction about God to a people who stoned (executed) those who were heretics. Indeed, many early Christians were crucified, stoned, fed to lions, slaughtered by gladiators, and later even burned at the stake. The authors of the different biblical texts were those who went to their deaths (except the apostle John) while maintaining their witness: they saw Jesus alive again after the crucifixion.

If god always acts in accordance with his nature (whatever that means), then he still must have more than one viable option that does not contradict his nature if he is to ''claim free will.'' Otherwise, he is a slave to his nature, like a robot, and not a free personal agent. What would the word "option" mean to a being who created all options?
Some say that "free will" with god does not mean what it means with humans. But how are we to understand this? What conditions of free will would a christian scrap in order to craft a "free agency" for god? Multiple options? Desire? Freedom? Power? Potential to avoid?
Perhaps desire could be jettisoned. Desire implies a lack, and a perfect being should lack nothing. But it would be a very strange "person" with no needs or desires. Desire is what prompts a choice in the first place. It also contributes to assessing whether the decision was reasonable. Without desire, choices are willy-nilly, and not true decisions at all. Besides, ''the biblical god expressed many desires.'' Basically this supposed god is RELYING on his ''faulty creations'' (the fall of adam & eve) to go around and CONVINCE each other that he exists, that's preposterous.!!!
No objection saves the christian god, he does not exist. Perhaps a more modest deity can be imagined: one that is not both personal and all-knowing, both all-knowing and all-powerful, both perfect and free. But until a god is defined coherently, and then proven to exist with evidence and sound reasoning, it is sensible not to think that such a being exists.
This guy is ONLY expressing his own personal views, having said that, it DOES NOT mean he is right, at the END OF THE DAY, it's only his OPINION.!!!
So, first, what is God's nature? God is the living embodiment of good. That is His nature. There are multiple ways God can act in goodness. He could show love. Love is good. He could show mercy, that's good. He could show justice, that's good. He could show forgiveness, that's good. All of which are shown in Jesus Christ sacrificing Himself on the cross.

Tradition is passing a torch of knowledge from the previous generation, Progression is handing that torch on to the next generation with improved knowledge. Without Tradition you know nothing. I don't know why these American millenials feel like christianity is their culture and talking about it is imposing their culture on others. Christianity was adopted by very many people from very diverse cultures before it came to white folks. They also tend to think that accepting every belief and categorizing them all as the same is somehow open minded . It's actually very closed minded and ignorant to think that a budhist and Christian believe the same thing. They act like they are open minded when they themselves are expecting people to think like them otherwise they are deemed as closed minded. Very hypocritical. The guy literally ended up doing the same thing he called out Cliff for supposedly doing in the first place.

We have shame going to our brothers because they will tell us that we can't be there brother in addiction to sin, what they should say to us is that we are brothers no matter your sin because it is by grace and so now we know they will help us like brothers instead of writing us off as needing to be saved even after we confess Jesus and it's by grace we are brothers but if they make us not yet brothers they will abandon us.

The guy making the comment that "the Quran is not as reliable how you make it to be", is actually right. I don't know why Cliff goes on defending the Quran. It has been proven in speakers corner there are more than 37 different versions of the Quran, thus dispelling the lie that the Quran has been unchanged. A quick you tube search is all that's needed Cliff.

I generally like much of what Cliff has to say. But Cliff's definition/description of what the church is appears to be heartwarming yet lacking biblical basis. The church is not a place, but rather a people, a body of believers whom Christ has redeemed, purchased with His own blood, and is transforming more and more into His image as they walk with Him. People, usually unbelievers wrongly think that everyone who meets at a place belongs to Christ's church and is His representative. Yet many who profess to be part of His church simply by association actually have nothing to with, or any part in Christ.
He’s missing the point of self sacrifice. The truth about Jesus was he the things he was saying. Carry your own cross, do not make the same mistake the wife of Lot did by looking back to the city and missing the pleasures, denying yourself, the passages of the young rich man and the short rich man named Zacchaeus, and other sacrifices and obedience’s you have to make for God. I sacrificed the pleasure of playing video games, an addiction, and I feel free and my consciousness isn’t having a hard time following God no more. I’m not saying the same thing applies to all but search up if videogames are a sin and you will see people who have the same struggle with me.

After watching numerous of these videos, I've noticed that Cliffe answers, like actually answers about 50% of the questions. The other half he diverts, goes off on a different tangent and then ends the conversation. The girl at 14:00 knows more than she realizes.
I know he’s trying to be respectful of other religions but I’d wish he’d be a little harsher on exposing the clear contradictions of these other religions because there are many. And I mean real contradictions not misreading the text and building an opinion on being intellectually dishonest

The first young man was full of knowledge, but Cliffe bought negativity to what could have been a good conversation. He could help some people but he only wants them to be Christian. He does more harm than good. He gets destroyed in debates with real debaters.
I realize as a Christian, I really shouldn't be talking down to anyone. but I gotta admit... some of these conversations Cliffe has with these people are extremely painful.
