Dude thanks for this video. You're the only person I've seen that actually shows how the arm attaches to the base which was my main concern. The thing is that it's 130 Eur where I live but if that's what it takes to have a decent arm I'll definitely consider it.
Awesome review! Very thoughtful with lots of reflection of usage and all the great closeup views really give you a chance to check out the quality of the mic boom arm.
I have had my Blue Compass for two years and am very disappointed the upper and lower arms are always out of alignment, adjustments have yielded nothing, great looking , if you don’t mind it being crooked. My Samson MBA’s are twice the arm at half the price.
Your Blue Compass seems to be very stable after you make adjustments to location. I've seen other content creators getting lift or sag on theirs, even after adjusting the tension screw on the bottom. Did you have any issues or was the screw relatively easy to set for your needs?
The boom arm is absolutely terrible. I have it, and even though i have tightened the friction plates and loosened the screw on the bottom, it still goes up.

It was a bit of a pain to get correct but in time I got it. Thank you!
@@Vomelo Cool thanks for the reply. Your vid was the one that finally convinced me to pull the trigger on this boom. Keep up the great work!
Do you remember what video you watch to adjust the arm? Mine won't do what yours does

@@Vomelo Thanks ! What mic are you using ? You have really good videos 🙌
Honestly I don't know, the branding was wiped away from the shock mount. Thank you!

made from some kind of metal? very informative lol
Damn. That microphone cord's seen some shit.
My puppy got to it :(
copper by itself is not a common structural material, you were probably looking for the word "brass" instead.
I wish it was aluminuym for the price isnread of plastic
Unfortunately for me, the Blue Compass is a total disappointment No way to adjust for lighter mics. So much hope. Great disappointment.
