  • In today's video, we make an use the ZVS flyback driver to create high power Arc Gloves. These arc gloves are extremely dangerous ( I have no sense of safety to be honest ) so do not try this at home!! Anyways thanks for watching! I appreciate you all!

    Next video, he's made it portable and has made it to the bank.
    Third video, now it's larger and can the batman stand up to it.
    fourth video, the world will pay up or monuments will begin being demolished.
    Fifth video needs to be re uploaded after #jla filed false copyright claim.

    same project with much more resistant gloves, the spark gap at the finger tips and a small tube that blows air attached to the inside of one of the spark gap fingers. air supply controlled by the same Switch that the current is. blows in the same direction as the fingers point.

    I love your videos! obviously i had to do a lot of reading to get to where I could confidently and safely work with hv. however for my power supplies I just use q see or altronix 12v or 24v 10-20 amp power distribution units from security camera and alarm systems. they get junked all the time and are only like 15$ on Amazon for smaller ones thought I'd let you know as you said power source was one of more expensive parts. keep up the good work!

    I've got an idea: you could make "trivia" videos where you don't actually build something but explain stuff. For example how powerful those arcs the imperator shot out of his hands in star wars episode 6 must have been if they were actual high voltage current. Could be interesting.

    Hi keystone! I've made my own flyback ZVS driver and got it to work for a little bit and had a 4+4 centertap primary around the ferrite core on my flyback. However, when I upped that to 7+7, I believe that the thing arced inside the secondary and no longer works. Do you know if there is a way to combat this so that it doesn't happen? Thanks! I absolutely love your videos.
    Edit: Also, where can I get cheap flyback transformers? I know that you can salvage them from old TV's, but I don't really want to go through the hassle of buying 100 pounds of crt and having to recycle all of it.

    FYI: Based on the resistance of your skin, it takes 48V to kill you. Since this is running at 32V, even if it crossed your heart, you would be fine.

    • @KeystoneScience
      @KeystoneScience  7 років тому

      +Randy Hugick the output of this is around 60,000 volts, and that is that is at approximately 500ma, this is likely not going to kill you if for a brief moment it shocked you, but with an exposed it would at least burn up your hand and perhaps burn veins internally, which would not be good

    • @randyhugick5670
      @randyhugick5670 7 років тому

      Ah. I see. I misunderstood. After watching your other video, I saw that the input was 32V and the output was estimated 60,000. That makes more sense as to why the arcs were so hot. Anyways. Keep up the good/fun work.
