- In this video, I demonstrate how you can deconstruct complex visual stories, such as a book-on-a-page into visual idea units using a new script that I just added to the Excalidraw Script library: "Deconstruct selected elements into new drawing".

Its crazy how we went from hieroglyphs to text and now back to visual-textual hybrid mode for communicating ideas. This hybrid approach is denser and triggers associative memory more than text alone. Great tool! Thanks a lot for developing this!

they are, and yes it helps with performance
Is there a script like this for making markdown notes from selected text in excalidraw with the same names as selected text? (note refactor doesn't work in excalidraw view)
I think "Convert text to link with folder and alias" will do what you are looking for.
Where do you get all the icon .svgs that you have in your Obsidian vault?
I have a flaticon.com subscription. You can get the 512x512 PNG icons from flaticon for free, but need a subscription for the svgs.

What are you using to color your icons? Is that happening in Flaticon?
Which Icons? But yes, I use Flaticon
It's a general question about icons that you import as SVG from Flaticon. In many of your examples the icons have your preferred colors. I was curious where you were adding that color. In Flaticon before saving, or after you have brought it into Excalidraw? Thank you. I love the plugin and the visual Zettlekasten approach. and @@VisualPKM
@@Gorto68 I usually recolor in Flaticon. However I frequently convert SVGs into Excalidraw strokes and recolor that way (see more about it here: ua-cam.com/video/vlC1-iBvIfo/v-deo.html). I sometimes recolor SVGs for the specific drawings... but the current approach is very rudimentary (ua-cam.com/video/H8Njp7ZXYag/v-deo.htmlsi=QqaBQ9NqaSebAIr7&t=1464)
Fantastic -- exactly what I was looking for -- I corrected the colors and then resaved it as my "icon - text text text"@@VisualPKM
