Take it from an L&d nurse here, you can defffffinitely get pregnant even while breastfeeding and before you start your period! Of course it’s a little more tricky and harder to plan, but it can 100% happen. Praying for y’all!!! 💕

Definitely highly recommend waiting until atleast MM is 18 months old. Bc it takes that long alone just for your body and your hormones to balance back out. And with you breastfeeding it may even take longer. And in my experience, not waiting can throw you into a slew of other hormonal issues, and can lead to physical health issues and even pregnancy health issues. Having another baby also divides the attention that MM truly needs right now. Having a 2nd baby changes the entire dynamics of your home as well. It isn't nearly as easy as having just 1. ♡ TAKE YOUR TIME , enjoy MM for a while. Enjoy all the newness. Once a new one comes, you don't get to enjoy those moments as much bc you're being pulled in so many dofferent directions. You'll also have major mom guilt. I know from personal experience and really screwed my body up for not listening, and allowing it to recover first. SO please, take your time. And enjoy this new season of motherhood. Spacing them out really allows you to be able to soak up the newness, it's a lot less stressful, too. ❤

Our second was born 19 months later, he was not easy at all and it was so hard basically having 2 babies. Of course everyone is different , but i'd encourage you to enjoy the one you have and don't rush to add more just yet.

I had 3 kids in 3 years and 4 months... It was VERY hard! My suggestion is always wait at least a year between pregnancies. It is healthier for your body. I've had friends come back to me after getting pregnant less than a year later, and say, "I wish I would have waited a year because this has been harder on my body." There is so much transition that first year with your body recovering, and getting to know your baby. Even if you waited a year, the two little ones would still be less than 2 years apart. I have never heard anyone say they wish they had their kids closer than that, but many say it was incredible hard having two little ones so close in age.

I had my first baby, a boy, a week and a half after you. My baby boy is not an easy baby at all. I’m 19 almost 20 and while I know every baby is different having a difficult child is very very challenging. He has tummy problems and can make every day things so much more difficult. I only have one, having another young child is something I am not considering and am going to wait a couple years or more. Just be prepared that not all babies are made with the same temperament. I love my baby more than life itself but the thought of having another child with the possibility of them having the same temperament, I could not survive which is why as much as I would love a close age gap, it is not the time for me. Have your kids when you want of course, it’s all your decision but I would definitely keep that in mind. Love you lots💛

putting on all your cream products and then setting them with powder helps them blend easier. So you could do foundation, concealer, cream contour and blush, and then set it with powder, go over with bronzer and blush to top it off. It just helps all the cream products blend better together.

I got my period back at 7 months postpartum because we did sleep training and I was no longer nursing through the night, then my next cycle was funky (50 days between instead 28-31 days), then I got pregnant with baby #2 on my next cycle through tracking with Natural Cycles! We started her on solids at 4 months, but I was still nursing her quite a bit until she was 6 months old. So, 1st baby born in Oct 2022, first cycle back in May 2023, skipped June 2023, and got pregnant on my July 2023 cycle, and due in April 2024! Our older daughter is 17 months old, and I am 36 weeks with our next baby girl. We are excited for the 18 month age gap, but it is also tricky handling another pregnancy with a younger, more dependent child. Whatever the Lord has for you both will be the best for your family!

If I were you I’d wait till your child is around 2 years old to start trying because for one it takes at least 18 months for your body to fully recover from childbirth and the longer you wait the less likely complications it would be. The other reason is the 2nd baby could be a lot harder than your 1st child and you never know if you’ll end up with multiples and all that and it doesn’t even have to run in your family for it to happen I’ve seen it with other people in my life. I will say for alot of people there age gaps between there kids are around 3 years because around 3 there a little more independent and are usually potty trained by the time another human enters the world.

i love your happy little family! and i think it’s so funny you’re experiencing baby fever right now because 4 months postpartum was when my baby fever started back up too😂 My period came back around 7 months postpartum! (but i hope you know you can definitely still get pregnant even if it’s not back yet, it’s just harder to plan)
That said, i have been patiently waiting for baby #2’s moment but told myself to wait 1yr cuz i truly do want to soak up time with my first daughter. She turns 1 next month and i am most definitely planning on trying for baby #2 VERY soon !
I would also like to say, there’s no harm in having your second soon. But what i’ve been told from my midwife is that your body really truly needs more time to recover from the first pregnancy and birth. Not to mention, you’re breastfeeding and i would highly recommend waiting till at least 6 months pp to get pregnant again because then your milk supply will be fully regulated. Otherwise i would be nervous for you to lose your supply if you did so soon :( But! Like you said, God knows best and He will give yall another when the time is right

Breastfeeding is very important to some people and they’re devastated when that journey ends..so just in case it was to her, i wanted to share :) I would be very happy for her if she got pregnant again soon - or whenever that happens. And I had 2 periods and got pregnant with #2 the week after my daughter turned 1 (currently almost 23 weeks - due end of July). Every women is different with when their periods return after a baby

Please don’t rush yourself so much. Babies seem hard in the moment but they’re SO easy compared to actually parenting teens/pre-teens. A night of no sleep for a crying baby but it’s NOTHING compared to a night of “why is my child .3 seconds late!
