@Bri Guy I remember being 14 and purchasing that at a record store that had bootlegs in a glass cabinet. It was titled NIN X FILES. All I wanted was their music videos. Well I got them all right along with the most vile version of Gave Up the video. The guy from Coil, Peter Kristofferson apparently helped make it. Puts a more Morbid feel to the NIN remix albums that have remixed by Coil next to the track titles
i'd never heard that quote from Trent about this song before... i actually caught onto NIN a little later in life than i probably should have, given my music sensibilities especially back in the 90s, and it was partially because i randomly rented Lost Highway one night while spending the night at my grandmother's place, and i watched it alone in the middle of the night, and it blew my mind. was also my intro to David Lynch, if i recall. but the MUSIC in that movie was what really stuck out. so many awesome artists, and a really interesting and unique score. fell in love with Trent and NIN almost immediately, and Perfect Drug was probably my favorite NIN song for quite a while. absolutely wild to hear how little he cares for it when i would personally rank it among his best.
You should react to a batch of NIN’s instrumental tracks. The Way Out Is Through, La Mer, Just Like You Imagined, whichever “Ghosts” track Lil Nas X sampled for Old Town Road.
NIN recorded the album 'With Teeth' in about 2/3 months. THEN Trent spent 5 months sound engineering the sound into Dolby 5.1 surround sound so as to maximise the effect of multiple speakers... total genius Respect & Peace
Truthfully I’ve only heard the 1st single however I did mention that album to Juan in our 1st NIN video because in private he had no idea who NIN were & when I played him Only the 1st thing he said is that he feels this band needs to collaborate with someone. I laughed, why the Eff would Trent do that? 2 months later right before we film that episode that album hits, mind blown. 🤯
Dude have them react to Pretty Hate Machine! It's a classic album! Love David Lynch! Dune, Eraserhead,Twin Peaks etc etc and his daughter made Boxing Helena 🖤🖤🖤🖤
If you want to react to something you might not have heard of before, I recommend Aesthetic Perfection with Gods and Gold (featuring Richard Z Kruspe from Rammstein on guitars)
If you go for more NIN, you should include Down In It or Terrible Lie from Pretty Hate Machine. Bathroom Music: Imperative Reaction singing Giving into the Change (ua-cam.com/video/y2ugANKmTS0/v-deo.html) Peeping Tom Music: Toss up between Butthole Surfers singing Who was in my Room Last Night (ua-cam.com/video/CNAkbbKycCM/v-deo.html) and MC 900 ft. Jesus singing The City Sleeps (ua-cam.com/video/3KB54p8_wh8/v-deo.html) of course, the Butthole Surfers could have also been in the bathroom music category as well...
Wow, thank you. I love the Butthole Surfers. We will get into a comedic song/band vibe eventually. I’ve been planning for them to hear some Spinal & Tenacious & then lean into some classic tunes with a sense of humour. Thank you for REALLY listening lol
The Lost Highway is a great movie with a great soundtrack. Angelo Badalamenti does the main music for most of Lynch's movies - The Lost Highway included. i LOVE the drums at the end... such a killer track Respect & Peace
the dubstep he's refrencing is probably very different from the Skrillex type sound that you and most other people think of when someone says "dubstep"
It's time for NIN BROKEN album. Last, Wish, Happiness in Slavery, Gave Up, and the history of where the Downward Spiral was recorded
@Bri Guy no not the broken movie. The music. I want them to cover the songs

From the movie SE7EN, the opening track is called “closer precursor”

We did Just Like You Imagine in our original NIN vid, that song is the reason Juan is such a huge fan now.
@@AMVryan Word. The Mark Has Been Made was another I was reaching for when I made that list.
Love what y’all do. Peace.

Juan might start listening to NIN on his own time!
Ryan: have you checked out Halsey’s new album that Trent and Atticus Ross did the music for?
Truthfully I’ve only heard the 1st single however I did mention that album to Juan in our 1st NIN video because in private he had no idea who NIN were & when I played him Only the 1st thing he said is that he feels this band needs to collaborate with someone. NIN is genius and has guts.
I always liked this one. The break beats are so cool.
Trent Resner is a music genius! Such a creative person, like a god!

Twin peaks season 3?
The drum and bass reference made me laugh. Breakbeats? Yes. Drum and bass? No. But I have a friend that would mix NIN with dnb.

check the soundtrack for Judgement Night - killer
Respect & Peace
Dubstep is sorta industrial dance music.

Rrrrrammstein!
And he does the legendary Twin Peaks music. And this makes me want to watch season 3 again.
More of this
You lost me when you said, "Weren't we just talking about dubstep?"
the dubstep he's refrencing is probably very different from the Skrillex type sound that you and most other people think of when someone says "dubstep"
One of my favorite NIN songs/videos. It showcases Trent's genius and the band's talent.
trent is god!
You talk about barely hearing the vocals well we can barely hear the song because of you guys talking (loudly) over the whole song
a lovely song about Absinthe & the "trip" lol
3 losers.
