- “I imagine his motivation is the sudden realisation that he has three more children that have to go through private school and bloody hell 20 per cent on VAT really isn’t funny.”
Rishi Sunak’s decision to being back Boris Johnson “reminds us what we’re voting against”, says The Times’s Giles Coren.

Boris Johnson’s return ‘reminds us what we’re voting against’
Exactly.
You'll just be replacing one set of goons with another.
@@Withnail1969thanks Vlad.
Quite. Vote Reform.
@@tomk8729 But you need to have a medical certificate from a brain surgeon, that declares you have been labotomised, to vote Reform? How do we get round that?
The Tories are always insulting the publics intelligence.
Their whole campaign has been that an insult.
Boris should be in jail with the rest of the cronies
He must be punished to the full extent of the law, in his private and public capacity.
For specifically what crime?

Labour should just hold up that photo of the Queen sitting alone at her husbands funeral in response.
Problem with that
Sir Kier Stasi was & remains a lockdown vigilante
He will lockdown the country at the earliest opportunity
Or Johnson partying with Russians
The rules were idiotic to start with and labour wanted even harsher ones.
That was !!!!

The man even the Tories thought was unfit to govern.

My dad died not from Covid, but because he couldn't see a doctor and get properly assessed. He was turfed out of hospital in one day, because of Covid, and died in the same hospital there three weeks later, from a treatable condition, having had no visitors for a week. He had about fifteen people at his funeral because of restrictions. Seeing that silly little man smirking as he gloated about having parties, whilst spraying spittle everywhere, will make the sight of the Tory party's corpse more beautiful tomorrow
I'm sorry for your loss. We haven't had a decent PM in a long, long while and I can appreciate that Boris sickens you - even though I know that Labour are going to disappoint.
@@terryyakamoto3488 His conduct as a public servant has caused harm, death and damage to the people. He must be punished to the full extent of the Law in his private and public capacity. The people who are honour bound and duty bound to protect the people must perform their duties. Anyone who have not performed their duties to serve and protect the people are partied to the criminalities performed upon the people by the policies and procedures conveyed to the people with evil intent.
"Look, I don't care about Partygate. I had parties!" Giles Coren proving in just one sentence that he is still the blustering shower of contemptuous poison that he always was!
A family who live together in the same house hold having a party, that fine . That not we upset about but when you have people who don't live together and saying don't see dying family , friends in the last moments of their life and the people making the rules having parties . THAT why people are so upset and how do you get over that ?
If he hadn't been able to see loved ones who were dying, he wouldn't be so trite.
Well said all.
Poisonous indeed! How can he boast it while the nation suffered lockdown?
A friend's dad died of covid while that toxic clown partied. The friend was a lifelong tory voter. He isn't anymore. Coren's comment shows utter contempt for those that followed the rules and who lost loved ones over that period.
Scaremongering, in the U.K. there is no such thing as a supermajority.
Exactly, didn't they have a super majority in 2019? This is just Project Fear 2.0
When Boris had an 80+ majority it was a “beautiful display of the will of the people” or “a clear mandate for his leadership.” Now the shoe is on the other foot, the message has completely reversed. The Conservatives think we are all morons - they can’t even be bothered to lie consistently.
Once you have a majority of around forty you are safe from losing your majority. Also, the opposition parties are unlikely to unite to defeat the government.
He’s become a self parody that Mr Johnson. Read “ How they broke Britain “ by James O’Brien
People who aren't angry about partygate essentially lack basic human empathy, any sense or morality or collective responsibility. People literally couldn't see their loved ones as they died awful deaths, because of the rules the tories made, that they themselves didn't obey. If you can't understand that there is something wrong with you; it's called being a tory.
I am not angry about partygate because it completely lacks the element of surprise to me.
Worse than that. It was the stupidity of thinking that they wouldn't get found out
People willing to forget partygate sums up why the Tories are so entitled and arrogant. Because we, the great British public, are so servile and pathetic and they can get away with it
People who lost loved ones are still bothered about Partygate. While we were sticking to the rules and people were dying alone they were partying.
Labour did the same.
@@Withnail1969 No, they really didn't. Labour were investigated for a single potential breach and no breach was found. The Tories were found to have held 12 gatherings which did breach the law at the time and offered in their defence the argument that they simply misunderstood the rules which they were responsible for introducing. Boris didn't lost the premiership for that (although it was a contributing factor - it added to the pile of occasions where senior Tories were sent out to deny something that was almost immediately then admitted, and ultimately it was doing that which caused them to kick him out), but he did lose his seat for lying to Parliament about it. This is not both sides being as bad as each other.
He must be punished to the full extent of the Law in his private and public capacity.
@@Withnail1969Stop untruthing.
@garyarnold3141 And the elephant in the room that is never addressed, is the fact that non of them were the least bit bothered about dying from this so called killer airborne virus...
People are angry about party gate not because they couldn’t ’have a party’, but because they couldn’t attend their mums funeral.
The Queen sat on her own at Philips funeral and they partied!
The Queen was probably too ashamed of the Government and as a consequence preferred to be alone at that time.
If Starmer is needed for a cobra meeting on a friday night, im sure he eill attend. Anyone daying he won't are liars
Anyone saying he won't is likely the PM who missed COBR during Covid to write his massively overdue book.
Can’t wait to see the Tory’s cry
I just hope those dreadful Limp Dumbs don't advance their weird cause.
The fact that Starmer is being criticized of knocking off at 18:00 on a Friday smacks of desperation. It highlights to the voters that the Tories have almost no case.
Didn't David Cameron had Wednesday night off to have dinner with family .
Starmer is having a Jewish Holiday with His Wife.
The Tories revealing themselves as the anti-family party, to absolutely no-one's surprise.
Did Bojo ever work a whole 4 day week when he was "in office"
The times having someone on to say he doesn't care about partygate because he had parties too? Great journalism again by 'The Times'. Can't wait to get these tories out and make these people irrelevant!
Honestly Giles has no shame and he seemingly admitted to having parties in lockdown to, disgusting one rules for them and one for us. People died and they just don't care and never have!
They'll be back in an election or two after Labour have failed to fix anything.
Are there still seats on that Rwanda flight? Should be able to fit most of the senior Tories on it.

Didn't David Cameron forgot about his daughter and left her in a pub!
actually it was his son, I have a mate who was in that pub when he visited with Xi-xing Ping that one time
His son was trying to escape.
Oops my mistake
Anything a Tory does is fine,it's only when Labour do it,it's awful, disgusting, pathetic, out of touch, whatever, which is why people are so pis*Ed off with them
Yes he did.
This station really is in dire need of more non-private school types to appear on it. These people are just intolerable, unrelatable, and extremely out of touch.
Try GB News instead, oh wait...
It wasn’t “what the conservatives THOUGHT he said.” The tories DELIBERATELY lied about what he said. 4-day week? What nonsense! Absolutely deceitful and vile. Which is what you expect from the tories.
Max Hastings, author and newspaper columnist - was Boris Johnson's immediate line boss for many years while both were employed by the Daily Telegraph. Max Hastings writes very good books. He has utter disdain for Boris Johnson.
Didn't sack him though, did he?
@@johnbriggs3916 Would Hastings have the power to sack him? I doubt it. He could express his dissatisfaction in strong terms to his line manager.
Tories still seem to think that Conservative Association members are representative of the general public.
Doesn't Keir Starmer have a Jewish wife which means finishing in good time on Friday is even more important.
yea but that abandons the long standing tradition of knocking off at 4pm for Wine Time Friday
How many people can work 24x7? Err no one. About time we had someone in office that wasn’t self obsessed and consumed by power. Taking some time on a Friday EVENING to spend with his family is the sort of values I am happy to vote for.
People seem to have forgotten Downing streets "wine time Fridays" throughout the pandemic.
So now we can add Antisemitism to Islamaphobia in the Tory party!
Looking at the UK today I believe even a new government working only part time could probably do a better job than the current one 😀
I would think no one would want to see or take any ADVICE coming from Boris Johnson .
Hilarious! Wheeling out Worzel Gummidge for the series finale of the Tories 🤣😂
Boris's speech sounded demented.
As if voting for Corbyn was anywhere near as catastrophic/wrong as voting for Johnson. But then, I'm not a Tory. He most definitely is.
Laura Kuenssberg will be flicking her bean over this.
😂🤣
Embarrassing 😂
Call him. Johnson not Boris.
As we say in our part of the world fine words don't butter parsnips
Strong and stable government instead of the 'coalition of chaos'.
How did that go?
“I don’t care about party gate. I had parties too.” Classy.
Rishi Sunak found “fire in his belly”?! Is that a joke? He’s gone AWOL. He’s absolutely nowhere to be found! He’s checked out already as far as I can tell.
Boris is more Michael Fabricant than William Hartnell 😂
I wish I could check the other side of my screen; the man at the beginning of the video is spitting his saliva every few seconds. 🤣
Bad move bringing him back
Spot. On. Thank you for the reminder, Giles.
It’s The Brexit And The Economy Will Fail Sunak 👍👍
The Coren family are very wonderful!
Johnson doesnt help anyone but himself 😂
Yes Giles- but what are we voting FOR.
Hopefully a change of direction ⬆️
Try a different party.
Break the duopoly
A party not run by a disaster capitalist?
The electorate have long memories, not short ones!
Serious own goal to wheel ‘Chucky’ out!!
This might be an old fashioned notion, but character matters. Johnson was, is, and ever shall be a cad and a bounder.
Rather than rage like a spoilt child the Tories should try to do 'adulting' and be a bit more humble and understanding. (I know.... 😂😂😂 they wouldn't know where to start).
‘ I don’t mind partygate, I had parties too’………🤦♀️
I wonder if Johnson will get a Lordship out of this...
If he does I think it will be shortlived as his corruption in office is going to catch up with him .
Will Starmer replace food banks with soup kitchens to reduce gas bills?
0:39 Intro Ends
Johnson scaremongering about anyone else being linked to Russia is laughable
Hopefully Labour will instigate an investigation into politicians and others, who have links to the Russian government. It’s long overdue as Johnson seems to have only been a part of the problem.
Labour did not want Blair to endorse them … and Blair captured the zeitgeist of the millennium …. So why should the Tories want Boris? … or is it Boris wanting Boris..?
Why would you airdrop a rutting hog onto a deflating life raft? Good luck to them.
This waffle makes me glad I left the country...
Thanks
Urgh. The Tories are so bad they're making me agree wirh Giles bloody Coren. Horrific. 😂
I dunno who that is but this is funny
Giles Coren "I had parties too " Translation I am entitled, the rules don't apply to people like me ?

Giles Coren is another unbiased contributor to Times Newspapers.
Giles Coren is amusing
Why should he be unbiased in a political opinion piece?
@@heycidskyja4668 If anything, his biases make his contribution on this point more pertinent. He's not someone who has always despised Boris, he's someone who used to like him but finally saw what the rest of us could see all along.
@@chrispalmer7893 Precisely - as a political columnist and commentator his individual take is what's valuable.

True voters didn't need to be reminded.
"Don't let the Putinistas usher in the Corbynistas"? Surely the other way around? More cosplay 'Churchill' from BoJo? Is this just some late and last minute head above the parapet having been pulled through a hedge backwards from Johnson these last couple of years? Well, thanks for reminding us you still have a pulse Boris.
Thanks Rishi for bringing back Boris - it has reinforced my decision not to vote conservative .
Are they trying to get decimated 😂😂
Decimated means losing ten percent of your army. Is there such a word a centimated?
@@CravingBeer there's always one.

I might have given Boris a second thought if he had come out for Reform. But he's toast now.
Next they'll bring back Truss for a last ditch rally
Or The Lettuce.
Giles Coren isn't someone I agree with on much, but he is quite funny.
Giles had to acknowledge he has no actual evidence for what Boяis does with his money, but it doesn't mean that he doesn't _think_ that.
Pathetic this so called fear of socialism ! As if ….. NHS and welfare state are socialism! Get a grip England
I wish the country can be like Sue and Giles, silliness and just less division.
So,bringing back Bunter did absolutely sod all to stop the loss of all of those Red wall seats. He is a done flush.😊
Did Coren at the end there get Enfield Southgate and Putney from 1997 mixed up?? Some political journalist he is! Perhaps he should ask ITV if they can recommission a series of 500 Questions so he can get another free trip to Cologne...
If you can't understand why partygate matters then you do not understand at all what the experience of the working classes were at that time.
How do I vote against Jiles Coren?
Will Starmer increase the wages of government employees, e.g., NHS Doctors.
Give me strength....
Did BJ ever do a full day’s work - ever?
So, Giles Coren doesn't care about partygate because he had parties too. Confirms what I've always thought about Giles Coren. Such a very lovely sister though. Funny how siblings can be poles apart, likeability-wise.
Boris putting the final nail in the Tory coffin. Well done Boris, you finally turned off those begrudging Tory voters.
Good move, bring Boris back to remind people how bad things were and to stop them thinking the worst of COVID.
I wonder if Boris still has that big red NHS Brexit bus.
Yes, Labour bringing in hundreds of thousands of ‘asylum seekers’ each year and living off the tax rises planned is just what we need in this country.
They need to work round the clock to put this country back on a decent footing, Thatcher did not take a day off!
@adrianunderwood8642 Yeah she worked day and night to wreck the country and these lot are finishing what she started.
I dont think the Tories realise what they did
The reason why most people remain offended by partygate was because it was Johnson and Co who set the rules and lied about what they were up to. People couldn't see loved ones who were dying. So Giles should care about partygate. Giles saying he also had parties is missing the point.
I really wish you'd all stop using the term "super-majority" - it means nothing in our electoral system
Sickening doesn't come near it!

Why am I wasting my time listening to all of you ? You KNOW that Partygate is unforgivably bad, You defend and attack. You hope Starmer will be weak. I pray he is not. I want an end to all this public school mentality and language.
Sunak should have called a GE after 6-9 month instead of milking his good fortune for 1.5 Year.
Now the Tories have IMPLODED ...
MwaHaHaHa'aaa!

I'm not bothered about 'partygate' per se, but I am very bothered about his serial dishonesty which is encapsulated in 'partygate'.
This guy doesn’t think Partygate was a big deal! Just as bad.
I baulked at that as well. I know people who have a kind of PTSD the moment they see Johnson on the TV; who were unable to say goodbye to their loved ones while he and the Tories showed us the one-fingered salute of utter contempt. No big deal?!!
It's almost as though they want to throw the fight because they know how badly they've damaged the country already and haven't a clue how to fix it......might as well have wheeled out the lettuce
