Hearing a new dark ride opening at my home park really caught me by surprise! They haven’t had a major addition in about 10 years this should be exciting
Thank you for this extensive report of the IAAPA 2022. I'm really looking forward to the new rides and nice to see that many models are still being built to present the new concepts, that also gives me great pleasure as a model builder!
Wieland Schwarzkopf as a guest was my highlight. He called old engineers who has worked by Schwarkopf to design this coaster. They want to deliver the first ones in 2024, because Anton Schwarzkopf would have been 100 years old by then. And to see Wieland Schwarzkopf give this honor to his father is so awesome! ❤ By the way, the Wildcat 2.0 will be twice as high as the original
I’m excited to see new coasters finally coming to Arizona. I adore Castles N’ Coasters but Mattel will definitely give enthusiasts something to talk about in Arizona. Talk about a gorgeous train as well.
Great job covering all the new stuff, been waiting for someone to do it in a nice format such as yourself. Saw a few things I missed from other's coverage!
This is me learning about a new angle of the world I live in I had no idea there were conventions for this sort of thing I'm glad people got to go and have a good time Edit: Hey! Something new at Funtown Splashtown! Count me in!
Honestly as an Australian viewer who's loves roller coaster's. When I first saw the pictures for the tilt coaster at IAAPA, I didn't think it was going to be a real coaster somewhere else your video gave me the full info about it. Now I'm not sure if I should wait till it's built and rode/tested out a few time's in America or go ride the origin coaster in Discovery World. I mean just the fact that it's actually going to be built somewhere else after all these year's is amazing, I really didn't think it would happen, don't know how to plan my next holiday/vacation haha
Someday Cedar Fair will give Valley Fair some love with a new coaster. A ton of these new concepts would be perfect to get that park the spark it needs.
I think Premier's SFX Dark Ride Coaster also counts as a reveal for Dynamic Attractions, the original creators of the SFX ride (they also worked with premier on Revenge of the Mummy)
Gotta be super excited about the Chance Hyper GTX. Finally another one of these masterpieces is being built. Lightning Run is an exceptional ride and I've scratched my head for years wondering why another hadn't been installed. Happy and excited for Chance!
Was at IAAPA the last day, such a cool convention! Your video definitely highlights the coolest parts. It's amazing to see the coaster carts in person before they get released.
Great video as always! I personally feel as if Vekoma should have been ranked a few spots lower and found the Wild Arctic reveal, the Jinma rides train reveal, and Zamperla to be particularly interesting.
I can't believe there's actually a car made for that new park in Missouri! I live in Missouri and a lot of people i know figured the whole park was never gonna happen! That's exciting!
I’ve said this in a previous video, but as a born and raised Kansas Citian who spent many a summers at Worlds of Fun, I’ve always heard stories about the Zambezi Zinger, I haven’t been to the park since high school but I’d go back to experience it!
I was planning to go this year but nothing planned to go my way. Hopefully next year I'll make the trek down so I can see all the new and wonderful innovations that the manufacturers bring out
Hi! I go to Hershey park every year. I have family that live up there & would make a trip to the park every visit. I am SO EXCITED for the wildcat revenge!! It’s a classic at Hershey park. In recent years it hasn’t been very busy. I am thrilled to see life back into such a original addition to the park. I cannot wait to ride it.
Whitewater West's Icon Tower looks completely insane and I can't wait to see how it works! The Intamin and B&M Seaworld rides look like total blasts too! Those stuck in my head the most.
That tall tower with many water slides is actually being built in Qatar on new project called city of Lusail its crazy huge mega project cant wait to visit it once it opens!
Thank you sooooo much for making this video. I love the focused, inside peak. The trail runner sounds awesome! All of Zamperla's ideas are amazing too. The cheese is suuuch a cute idea! I admit though, I'm unenthused by a lot of these. Pretty much no matter what, "dark" rides are going to seem cartoonish. I think it would be more effective to play on The rider's psyche. A smart manufacturer would partner up with MeowWolf for a ride. Or hire a human. Seeing a person while I'm in a trippy environment would get a rise outta me. I'm also unenthused about most of the flat rides. The planes, the Olympics, the launcher. It seems like they are all... this new theme! This new theme! only, instead of thinking up how to affect humans' bodies in ways no one has thought of before. Cloud coasters are for moms and dads even if the views are probably cool. Arctic rescue seems fun but I hope they use the ocean to enhance what I see at night. Ghost rider would be amazingly fun if it played Gunship and Depeche mode. Anyway I'm gonna keep watching your video and keep the rest of my thoughts to myself. :P thank you for posting!! Edit: oh yeah! RMC! I have been loving following them. But their name is misleading and I wish they were in Colorado so I could work there.
I miss another fantastic big company from the Netherlands that builds great machines. KMG, they have just made a Ferris wheel of 70 meters high on 9 trailers and that can be built without a crane
It was the looper from them that got me and i still love all 3 models, thats the looper, boomerang and SLC provided they had a lot of TLC and preferable the vest restrains. Unfortunatly those are getting scarcer every year.
Have you ever been to the IISA trade show in gibsonton Florida! The trade show at the showman's club in gibsonton was the first trade show for carnival ride's and concession trailer's and equipment!
It sucks that some people apparently misbehaved at this event. Being able to attend is a true privilege, and I greatly value being able to attend every year. I badly sprained my ankle the day before the event and was grateful that I could go at all. This event is geared towards businesses and I always treat every company and attendee with respect. I may do a video before next year's event about etiquette. Thankfully, I didn't see any bad behavior firsthand, and IAAPA was a very positive experience overall.
@@ThemeParkCrazy Damn I didn’t know you sprained your ankle. And you attended as a media member the next day and all week just to bring this video for your audience! Your one tough guy Peter! I’m very short on money at the moment but when I get enough to spare I will 110% become a Patron supporter! I didn’t expect you to reply to my comment honestly, but I’m happy you did. From the bottom of my heart thank you Peter I really appreciate it. Your truly the gatekeeper of the coaster community lol.
@@Harrys.Truman-fanpage It was a very small amount of people who apparently misbehaved based on various accounts. I had nice conversations with most people who were there and didn't see anything bad firsthand. It was an amazing event all around.
I cant wait to see a new dark ride at my home park! they got rid of the last haunted house forever ago. im sure this will be big news to funtown lovers.
NOTE: From this point forward, future videos will have FIVE comments read aloud instead of just three.
sounds good, also first
I live in Ct
I am sorry to doubt you but you forgot dark coaster my home park Busch gardens please why
@@FunkyMonky2444 That wasn't announced at the event itself. I will be covering it in my 2023 coasters video.
@@ThemeParkCrazy yay
Vekoma is undoubtedly becoming a top tier manufacturer now.
Vekoma is kicking arse in Australia. In 2024 we're getting a state of the art family coaster with the world's first inclined turn table at Dreamworld.
I agree!
I still don't like them. They stole and torpedoed arrow. Idc what innovations they come out with someone else will eventually do the same.
Lol what? Do some research
@@beardedswordsman2901they did that because they helped arrow I think
It's always nice when parks pay tribute to some of their past coasters
16:31 I am calling it here that ride is going to Alton towers as sw9.
IAAPA always looks like a great time. I swear I'm finally going to go next year!
Really expensive when i looked at going.
I've never been to any sort of IAPPA Expo, but thanks to you, I feel like I'm actually walking around on the trade floor with you as my guide.
Rest in power Alberto Zamperla. I love Zamperla's ride designs so saddened to hear of his passing.
Next year looks immense
Hearing a new dark ride opening at my home park really caught me by surprise! They haven’t had a major addition in about 10 years this should be exciting
you mean Portaventura? Yea they get something like the SFX dark ride coaster but from Intamin
Super excited to see funtown/splashtown finally adding anew haunted house to replace the one they got rid of years ago!! Can't wait ☺️
Finally a decent video from the fair!
Thanks Peter!
Thank you for this extensive report of the IAAPA 2022. I'm really looking forward to the new rides and nice to see that many models are still being built to present the new concepts, that also gives me great pleasure as a model builder!
always look forward to these! thank you !
holy damn the da-vinci contraption looks WILD.
its somethiing straight out of the centrifuge brain project mockumentary
I actually screamed out loud when I saw the wildcat reveal! It was one of my favorites growing up! Can’t wait to see and ride the new coaster!
I have seen other IAAPA review videos, but I’ve waited for yours because I love your style.

One day (after the time they build it), I WILL fly whatever state that Whitewater West comes in!
Someday Cedar Fair will give Valley Fair some love with a new coaster. A ton of these new concepts would be perfect to get that park the spark it needs.
Wasn't Valleyfair supposed to announce something? They were teasing
@@ThoosieJP I would love if that was true. That park has been needing a new coaster for years.
Valley fair is garbage.

I'm guessing it's going to Super Nintendo World
So excited about future Huss rides
Flat rides for the win !
Now if they just build new Rainbows!! better but keep the nostalgic look and sound. Maybe even have a classic version and a newer model.
Awesome Video! I cant wait to see what is next for this channel!
I loved this I am really heckling excited for the new rides! 😊 Love your channel too it’s great to find someone like YOU “theme park crazy “❤️

Mr. Crazy with another banger of a video, thanks for delivering yet again
That da vinci pendulum flat ride looks absolutely insane. It looks like it would be way too violent.
Yeah it would absolutely kill its riders lol

The Technical Park Da Vinci flat ride reminds me of the Centrifugal Mind Experiment CGI short film.

The technical park pendulum ride is a double pendulum. Such a simple concept, I can't believe it's never been built as a thrill ride before!
thanks for the coverage.
Fun fact: a Zamperla Griffon opened this year in PNE Playland in Vancouver, so the one in Kennywood is the first in the US.
Will fix that in a stealth edit.
the Zamperela Nebulas at the expo in 2022 was sold to The Island in Pidgeon Forge, TN. It opened in 2023
