- This video will help you with replacing the front subframe on your Renault Clio 3 or Renault modus. The way I am showing you is what I would say is the easy way, without having to remove the front bumper. You will need basic tools and a rivet gun and some pop rivets. I hope this video helps you, if it does just give it a like and let me know in the comments, it will all help get the video noticed by others who need the help. Thanks!

Fantastic video. Was a 10min job thought it was going to be alot longer. Thank you for posting 👍👍
Well done & well explained. Simplicity at it's best including common sense.😉👍
Sometimes you just have to stop look and think cos so many people over complicate jobs!
Very helpful. Big relief that the front bumper does not need to come off
Thanks great video, just found out we have the problem on our Clio, was wondering what was involved, this explains in well. Thanks.
Absolutely brilliant video thanks.
Thanks, mine just got an advisory. So having a look around to see whats involved, and looks fairly straight forward. I don't have a ramp, so will be easier if I take the bumper off.
Yeah I’m going to try your method to access the sub- frame This is the major defect listed with the roadworthy test I took my Clio to yesterday Been trying to find this peculiar rattle for months now? Thanks for video -Im hoping to come back and say “it worked”!!
Great video! My wifes Clio 2012 neads a new frame badly 😂. The Renault dealer want's 450£ for the job and parts. But now I can easily fix it my self.
Great video, clio failed today on this, thanks for making this video
failed my mot because of this lol so happy you uploaded this so can tackle this on my 2011 clio
Pleased it will help you!
It seems to be the same operation I have to do on Renault Capture 2014. Thanks so much for sharing :)
Excellent Video. Very well explained. Thanks.
Your welcome
Nice one mate.I have one to change tomorrow and now Iv seen how you done it...
Makes life alot easier doing it my way not going to lie! Haha
Just done this without having to take the front under-tray off. Just took the 4 screws that hold the front under- tray to the mud guard protectors out.
Thank you boss for this video.
I'll try attempt it this week.
Although ill be using axel stands as dont have a garage, I'm also thinking I might need to remove the front wheels or maybe not. Haha..
Sometimes it's just as easy to take wheels off than work around them, but atleast you don't need to take the full bumper etc off!
@@ThePhilBilly Thank you 😊 🙏
Just got around to replacing the subframe today. The old one was very bad after taking off the cover and having had a closer look. The new one makes the car look and feel a lot safer now. I just had to come back again and say thank you for this video. 👍🏽
There is just one type of bolts for this sub frame? M12?
If I'm honest I don't have a clue anymore I've forgotten since making the video.
We had the front subframe changed on ours but now the car wont start. Are there any earth straps that connect onto the subframe or any advice on what to check?
I don't think there is, wasn't any on this one anyway, maybe check yours though, might be different on different models.
Great video thx m8
Bill, can you please share the link from the part? I see tons of those on ebay, but the type of material can be quite dodgy... :/
I will see if I can find the link to the one I fitted.
I have tried to get the link to share it to hear but it won't work on the phone. I will try and get to don't on the PC soon
@@ThePhilBillyHi Bill. Nothing yet? 😅
@@luisk5582 not going to lie I clean forgot! 😂 I'll do it right now or I'll forget again sorry 😂

Thank you Bill. Cheers. 🍻
No bother pleased it helped.
@@ThePhilBilly Definitely will consider your option. For a petrol clio, would you recommend the use of the strip for the radiator?
@@luisk5582 yeah I would still strap it up saves any damage from it hanging on the hoses
@@ThePhilBilly Thank you 👌
Great video bud .. 👍
What size were the pop rivets?
If I'm honest I can't remember I just used what I had in stock, I think off top of my head they are about 5mm.
Need to lift up engine a little?
No luckily not
No, just tie the rad/rads up a bit.....to be honest they don't really move that much anyway.
Looks worse than a Mk5 Fiestas arches! 😂
They ain't built to last anymore are they! Even thought mk5s didn't last either 😂😅
