Pondguru Cheers, Richard, good to get out again, even if the weather isn't that great and, yes you're right, where there's spindle whorls there's very often hammies, but, like yourself, I really like getting these as they're very nice finds in their own right. All the best, mate, GL&HH, Ian.
Hi Ian, thanks very much. Glad you enjoyed this one, always seem to get at least one really nice find over in Yorkshire, looking forward to getting back over there, all the best, GL&HH, Ian.
DetectingIOW Thanks, mate, certainly were some nice finds came up, the thatched button was a good find, kind of a personal item rather than a coin. All the best, GL&HH, Ian

Nice selection there Ian. Love the spindle whorls. Your buckle at 18.20 is a bit older. I suspect it dates to 1350-1450. We have new land for this year so keep in touch and say Hi to Tim for me. HH Rodger
Badger220455 Hi Rodger, yes, nice spindle whorls on that patch. Wasn't sure about the buckle so played it safe by putting the later date. Good luck in Fife today, mate, will try and get up soon, all the best, GL&HH, Ian.
Nice finds Ian, isnt amazing that you guys are detecting in snow and last week I had two encounters with the second most venous snake in the world. Just shows we are all a bit mad in this hobby.
GemQ1 Hi Ian, nice one, mate, glad you're okay, think I'd rather do the snow than the venomous snakes, though, but, yes, being a bit mad certainly does help, all the best, GL&HH, Ian.
