You French magicians have created something incredibly special. Thank you for answering my prayers haha. A couple of future feature requests would be a copy function from pad to pad (which I think you may already be working on?) and zooming in the edit mode to get more precise with start and end points (unless this already exists and I’m missing something???). It’d also be dope if when in the edit mode you play a pad via midi and the edit page jumps to that sample. It can get a bit confusing playing a sample and thinking your editing the start and end point but it’s another pad. Hopefully that makes sense.
I want to co sign with this one, I use the MacBook as a midi keyboard and if I want to edit a pad(speed, filter, fine-tune etc..), I have to manually click the pad with my mouse, otherwise it stays in the same pad even if I hit the others...anyway, you guys did an amazing job with this plugin!
I just picked up a copy of RX1200 through Plugin Alliance. First, let me say that this is a fabulous addition to my tool kit. I love the no-frills, simple interface nod to the original sampler. However, I'm thrilled with your decisions regarding included and not included functions under the hood. Finally, I found this walkthrough review to be most helpful for getting up and running in short order. I'm satisfied with my purchase and will look for other Inphonik offerings. Thanks
I really like the sound and the workflow of the plugin. The only thing that I miss is a Solo button for each pad. When the sounds are routed to output 1 I can't solo a sound on the DAW. Great sounding plugin!
Just bought the plugin, you guys have done a really nice job with this, sounds great! I would say an essential option should be pads playing "oneshot trigger option" gate without the fade out i.e rather than a sample playing in its entirety through till the end it cuts off when pad/key is released, otherwise if you loop something from one trigger of the sound it will loop forever.
I have been using the RX1200 for a few days now and loving it! I'm glad I watched this video because I just learned about chromatic mode :) The one thing I do notice, is that loading another instance of RX1200, only allows multi-out on the 1st instance that was loaded. Or maybe this is a limitation in Studio One. I haven't tried it with another DAW. A feature request I would like- is to have a "Gated" sample selection so the sample cuts off when the note key is released (Midi Note Off) Excellent work Inphonik programmers!
Future update request: PLEASE introduce the velocity level mode where each pad is a different velocity. Using this to create fake delays seems like a really cool way to make authentic sounding samples from the 90s instead of using the actual velocity of the midi controller.
@@samthesmartfella I’m getting around it by sacrificing a bank and doing a sample with 8 degrees of clip gain. I’m just guessing that each one is 5db quieter. So full volume, -5, -10, -15, etc. a lot of leg work up front but it’s a way to get there at least

Cool product. A few things I would like to see: (1) The ability to bypass the 12bit process per pad or have a clean channel output. Particularly good if you want your hats or other sounds clean. This gives more versatility to craft your sounds. (2) Trigger modes: One shot, gate, env, or sustain to give more control on triggering. (3) Would be nice to scroll the library using the screen as an option. Looking forward to future library sounds. The sounds are top notch!

Just bought it because the tones sound so good! Do you have any workflow suggestions for performing the VST live? Should I use Ableton and a midi pad controller like an Novation Launchpad or Akai APC Mini?
everything about it its a top but i think it needs copy and paste pads that would be easier to navigate around big sample chunks like 40 50 secs for example if u able to copy you can just go easy to next chop with the copy and paste please update it and put copy and paste function !!
I’ve recently purchased RX1200. I’ve begun building kits by exporting pitched sounds from Logic Pro. Because I’ve pitched the samples up while sampling, I’d like to pitch them back down by precise amounts in RX1200. I’ve noticed that if I switch “View” from “Editor/RX2100” in the plug-in window to “Controls,” the Pitch A1 - Pitch D8 sliders don’t seem to function. Any amount manually entered moves the slider to -8. Is this something that can be fixed? Also, it would be great if I could make manual edits right from the front panel, like most other plug-ins.
The product is super! Question: in case of external fader assign to midi controller (es. TR8 fader) the value of pitch is fixed on midi fader or midi follow the menu selected on RX (auto switch btw pitch/vol/decay) ?
Hi! The MIDI control will be assigned to one function only. For example, Tune A1. It's not related to what's visible on the interface when the faders change their function between Tune, Decay, and Mix.
I would suggest a "group edit" for the pads while changing speeds or other parameter in the "screen". Really tiring to do one by one. Also i feel like decay is quite clicky. Any chance to have a sort of fade in the sample editor ? Hope these suggestions can be useful. Big up for that amazing sounding plug in
My biggest issue is that I cannot control the faders via midi. I have an old control that with 8 faders that I could dust off. It would make this plugin THEE Best! Do we know if there are any plans for an update that would allow you to program the faders to midi controllers?

When working in Logic Pro, I assign this plug-in to several tracks and I noticed that the playback of samples becomes uneven, as if there is no note quantization, although I quantize the notes and in the piano roll they are exactly in their places. But it turns out a slight failure of beats and a slight unevenness of the rhythm. Is it so conceived, like such a humanize effect or ...? Why is this happening?

Or have you made tutorial videos of how to use programs like serato sample,mpc software editor, or fl studios editor with your program? I'm sorry, in completely new to your program, and another producer told me about it yesterday. Then I bought it last night. I've never used an Sp 1200, etc... and changing samples with faders is intimidating to me. And the pressure of making a software instrument sound as good as the established guys with the $4000 samplers. They have decades of experience with them, they know them inside and out, and don't do tutorials on how to master these devices. I thank you for any help that you can offer. Have a good day. DO NOT BUY THIS! I recently bought a new desktop PC and had to re-install all of my apps. RX1200 was one of them that I had bought and installed previously on my old PC and upon going to plugin boutique to re-download the installer it downloads the beatport software manager and you must re-activate the plugin every time you load it into your mixer rack for every instance of the plugin, past or present. If you have any of their plugins DO NOT UPDATE! Complete shit show!

Why would you need a fake delay in a DAW full of delays. I get why doing this stand-alone when you don’t have a delay but in a daw with a vst?

We couldn't include the original floppy discs sounds for legal reasons. If you have the SP-1200 floppy files, google "E-mu SP1200 HFE to WAV Decoder"

Just tested it on my 1st gen Magic Mouse. Scrolling up & down (like you would scroll on a page) changes the waveform zoom. Let me know! William

Thanks! The RX1200 has no pre-defined MIDI settings for any controller. Please use your DAW's MIDI learn features.

Of course, you can control the RX1200 faders via MIDI. Please use your DAW's MIDI learn / MIDI map function.

Merci ! Pour stopper un son sur une SP-1200, l'astuce c'est de se réserver un pad vierge réglé sur le même canal de sortie.

I just bought it. How do I load samples outside of your collection sounds, into the sampler?
In the Sample Editor, go to the Places tab. Also, you can drag and drop your sounds from your system folders to the pads.

You can do that! The RX1200's sample editor can help but it's very basic atm.

If you use FL then you can swing it

Hi! Yes. Set the polyphony to 1 for your desired Output channels in Settings.

The SP-1200's sample editor lets you manage start/end and loop points. You can truncate and erase sounds. And that's all!

The RX1200 has no internal sequencer, so the swing functionality should be looked for in the DAW.

the sp1200 was not true 12bit it was 16bit
The RX950 is snake oil. This is just a soft sampler with built in bit-reduction. No match sonically for an SP12O0
