in 2023 I had a bad case of Startitis and ended up with a LOT of UFO's. So, in 2024 I got Finishitis and finished almost all of my UFO's. Now I only have 2 going at a time; one that is portable and I take with me and one that is larger and stays home. So much more organized! I also no longer buy yarn till I go through my stash unless it is a special order. I want to reclaim more space.
I had guessed 52! Love that you're reclaiming some yarn and have whittled your piles down. I have two projects in time out and keep 2 or 3 WIPs so when I get bored with one, I'll work on another. I am in the making donations phase of my year - scarves and hats, and this year adding ski masks and hoods - so those are going all the time, and mixing in soap sacks and blankets/lap throws in between. It's quite challenging to store them until time for delivery since I live in a small space, but I make it work year after year. It's fun, therapeutic and helps others.
decorate the heart join with flower's and a vine leaf then make a fabric quilted back.. had to edit... sew those flowers on the heart bag... I'll be here all day!
My mom made us the best simple ear muffs by crocheting two of those thick flowers and finishing with a simple chain from one side to the other across the back. We hooked the chain over our ears. All our friends wanted flower ear warmers!
I wish I was as organized as you with putting the wips, ufos, and yet to start “kits” in the same place. I have a large toy chest in my craft room that has a lot of them, but not all!
I like the cardigan and your shawls, especially the one that doesn’t slip off your shoulders. So May great projects and beautiful colors of yarn. I only work on one project at a time usually so I don’t have any WIPs. I would get so confused with too many different projects going on at once, I can only concentrate on one at a time. Lol. 🧶💜🙏🏻
wow! what a treasure trove! Hope you finish so many of them. Standouts for me are the shawl that wraps around and buttons in back, and that gorgeous rectangle wrap which you couldn't identify the stitch, the colors are my colors. :)
Please, please please finish the wraparound shawl. I have been knitting for 20+ years, but recently started crocheting, and I would love to have one of those.
Ditch the Christmas and links things…or at least reuse the yarn. You can repurpose all the shapes you’ve already worked on. Join them to make cocoon cardigans, shawls, other clothing, different shapes cushions, blankets, rugs etc and then you can sell them or donate, if you don’t want to keep them. I’d stick to cotton yarns for coasters and table mats etc. I’ve loved watching this video. I’m sort of comforted that you have a lot of UFOs etc, because I think a lot of us do…it’s part of the creative process but also, ooh shiny new project! 😂 I recently gathered my yarn collection but I’ve not been brave enough, nor had the energy, to tackle my WIPs and UFOs yet. Great number of angles you’re filming too. 👍🏻❤️
I have a suggestion: Raffle off those projects you dont want to finish to your members with the condition that winner pays postage. Don't you live abroad? Furnish enough yarn to complete the project , if available.
Loved seeing all your ufo’s looking forward to all the Xmas projects. Defo, pretty please do a tutorial for the rainbow wrap around shawl sweater looks fabulous ❤🏴
Oh my god I just found your channel as a suggestion that UA-cam sent to me. You are a woman after my own heart, I just went through most of my UFO's and did the same thing you're doing now. But I can't believe that there's someone who has more than I do. Lol. I will say though that all of my projects have the pattern with them so I know what's going on with them. I love your space. Frog the dead bird!
Keep the rose, let the tulip go. Use the heart. Make the eyelash dazzle pillow. Keep the Christmas placemats for Christmas in July. I like the look of the flower for the chair cover. Ok … keep em all and make them your projects for the year 🤷🏻♀️😂
I don't think I have ever commented this much on anyone's video ever lol I am so excited for upcoming videos with these things u.f.os 😍 I love love love that rainbow shawl you are so right about the other type slipping off. I am the most excited about that . Also the poppies and roses if you don't have tutorials for those already. I loved the stitch on the lacy shawl too. 😊
Nice catch up Christa! Finish the sweater! It’s too good in that yarn! Maybe have a Christmas/ Christmas in July area for yourself. So many beautiful creations! 🧶💜🥰
I've watched this video twice!! Loved it. Can't wait for some tutorials on shawls, caplet, blankets!! And...when did Ice Yarns change their website?? I'm lost there now 😂.
I remember you raving on about Cotton Swirl Shine in one of the very first videos I saw you in, and I went off to Ice Yarns to buy it almost immediately. I'm so glad I was able to get some before it was discontinued.
Lovely show. Here r my 2 cents: Christmas set aside for either Xmas in July or next Xmas. And 2 projects i would love to see u complete are:1. Shawl that was almost done and sits perfectly on shoulder 46min into the show 2. Light blue capelette with dark blue trim 28min mark of the show. Both are insane pretty and shawltgatdoes not fall off shoulders .. never seen. Here is another idea: triangle shawl but shallow triangle with long wings . Look up 120 degree quilting ruler from creative grids ... that kind of shawl. Been looking for pattern like that and so far nope ... have fun
Heart bag for Valentine's Day.❤ finish the sweater in a day. Single crochet around the circles. Finish the wrap around shawl.❤❤❤ dead bird frog back and make a better pocho/shawl. Ditch the ripple
I'm glad I don't have that many UFO's!!!! lol I wouldn't have kept near as many as you have. Are any of your children interested in crocheting? Could they frog some of it you want frogged? You need help just finishing some of these projects. I like the way you've joined some of those granny squares; I'll look to see if you have tutorials. You are getting me out of my "lost my crojo" downer I've been having. 🙂 Thank you. XXOO
I have "Tiny Decisions" app and listed all my WIPs. When I dont know what to work on I just spin the wheel. I am glad to see I am not alone with a Pile of WIPs!
I was close I thought about 50. There are a couple of those shawls I hope you finish soon and do a tutorial they were gorgeous. Looking forward to them. I love shawls.👍
I'm so proud of you for doing this! I think I'm going to work through each of my WIPs as I go throughout the year. Haha it's too overwhelming for me to pull them all out at once. I love all your projects bags!
Hi Christa, sorry I've been lurking so much lately, got super busy. 😅 Let's see.... The Christmas placemats & coasters remind me of watermelon, just need some seeds. 🍉 😁 The magic links are cute but all those tails give me anxiety. I'd say frog the border and toss the links. I'd love to learn how you made the ric-rac stocking! It's so cute! Sweater in a day hexi-cardi is cute but I'd 🐸 it too. Same for the chevron ripples 🔰🔰🐸 The cakes alpaca scarf is gorgeous! And the magic glitz shawl too. 😍I'd love a tutorial! The dead bird poncho would be gorgeous if you frogged the yarn on the pointy squares and redid them. The color combo is stunning. Well, that's my 2¢ 😄 You really are a creative treasure. Looking forward to 2025 🥳🧶🧶🧶
You could make an awesome hodge podge blanket out of all of the unwanted projects pieces. I made a 'crazy quilt' a long time ago working out of a book of a bazillion crochet stitches. It was a fun make. ... And the later in the video comes your secret stitches sal blankets. Great minds. LOL
THE sweater you should finish, it’s Adorable in those colors!!! And you gave me an idea as I was gifted leftover yarn from my daughters BF’s mom that passed away in November ,,, the 3 boys want me to continue making blankets from her yarn BUT I have so many WIP’s myself ,,, Not sure what to do, but the Christmas stocking in her leftover yarns really caught my eye!!! I’m hoping you have a tutorial 🙏 what would you do in a situation like this??? Thanks Christa
What a wonderful walk down memory lane. I’ve been waiting on parquet granny since the beginning. I think you should do Xmas in July with all the design ideas. Reclaim the dead bird granny yarn. Nix the chain design. Finish the 2 day sweater and table the ripple for now. ❤
TIP! I use index cards to write down hook size and pattern source (book or UA-cam designer). It gets tucked into the project bag. It's been invaluable!
I love this idea! I spent a long time yesterday making my husband help me find my 5.5mm hook. I was convinced I had lost it earlier working on a project. Turns out it was in the project I'm using it for, and it wasn't the one that I thought I had been using all day. (that one was a 4.5, different color even...) 😳😳 🙄 I blame laundry for interrupting me all day . 😂😂
I saw the original pod cast, watching again for parts I missed. The pressed flower project may look good with white or antique white as the joining yarn. 🤔
Love that baby dress so beautiful and happy that you kept it. My grandmother crocheted us wedding dresses for our barbies. They were so beautiful. I really hope my mother kept them in her garage Somewhere?
I so enjoy seeing others UFO's, and that pastel shawl is gorgeous! SO is the wrap you don;t remember making...you made me giggle as it is not like there is someone else in your house that crochets! Maybe you should number them all that you want to finish and let your subscribers pick a number to finish each month/ week.
You should do a video of reclaiming the yarn from the projects. Picking out knots. Using the ball winder to kind of harvest the yarn and reclaim it. And then restock it on your shelves.
I limit my projects to four. I cannot start a project until I finish one. Keeps me focused, but prevents me from getting bored. I currently have a poncho, a blanket and two socks in the needles.
I think you should keep the magic links glitz because it is such a cool look for some kind of home decor or something!! Those color changes are beautiful ❤
One of my goals this year is to finish my secret stitch blanket. I did it in all off-white and just need to join the squares. I got tickled at you pulling yours out. So many of the things that you are keeping I really like and others not so much. Definitely keep the sweater! That is beautiful!
In regard to the Dead Bird Squares, the ones which stick out, could you turn them into a cushion cover? It seems a pity to unravel it, it's such pretty colours.
I'd make a big franken-blanket out of all the different pieces! :)
you absolutely must finish the sweater in a day! those colors are beautiful! 😍🥰
Commentinv so she sees this! LOVE the colors!
Question where did you get your project bags from, please and thank you!!
37:25 finish the sweater in a day. So beautiful 😍😍😍😍😍😍
That wrap! I need one of those in my life! Please do a tutorial and pattern so I can make a wrap that stays put and looks great! ❤
It would be fun to make a tutorial! 🌸👍🌺
I love the v shape shawl. Please post what it is and how to do it.
Oh I am so glad you liked it, @jodeecross8105! Thanks!🌻🌺🌼
I guessed 58! Finish the sweater in a day, fog the dead bird garment, and finish the wrap around shawl! I also love your bag storage system!
That's awesome, @carolynbowen3386! Thank you!! 🌸👍🌺
Finish the cardigan!! Love it all!! Especially all the ones with magic
Thank you, @kmmish01! 🌈🌼🌸
@SecretYarnery, what is your plastic zipper called? Amazon right?
You could totally turn the tulip rectangle into a bolster pillow. If that's what they are called. The cylindrical ones!
in 2023 I had a bad case of Startitis and ended up with a LOT of UFO's. So, in 2024 I got Finishitis and finished almost all of my UFO's. Hi @kathywelch8722! Thank you! ✨🌺🪻
The dress Grandma made should go into one of those display frames (can't remember what it's called) so cute!
Yes! Shadow box I think! 💜
@@ChelleShellCrochet 🥰

The tulip stitch piece can be a Nice scarf
That is a beautiful wrap
Please, please please finish the wraparound shawl. I have been knitting for 20+ years, but recently started crocheting, and I would love to have one of those.
I was thining 55 and love every thing you do
Wow Christa, so many projects! I would be so overwhelmed. There are some beautiful ones that I hope are made tutorials. ☺️🧶
I know! I have to keep my projects organized so I don't get TOO overwhelmed. ;) 🌺🌼🌸

I love your idea of putting unfinished work in ziplock bags but for sure I don’t have as much as you
Put the applique flowers with the heart and make a valentine decor? I love the oversized triangle button shawl… please show us how
I have a suggestion: Raffle off those projects you dont want to finish to your members with the condition that winner pays postage. Don't you live abroad? Furnish enough yarn to complete the project , if available.
That's a great idea, @laurieboughfman5727! 👍 I would LOVE that! Thanks!! 🌺🌼🌸
I absolutely love the baby/kid dress!! Please do one in 5T! Its adorable
Loved seeing all your ufo’s looking forward to all the Xmas projects. Defo, pretty please do a tutorial for the rainbow wrap around shawl sweater looks fabulous ❤🏴
Dead Bird, unwind, redo the two you don't like, and finish it. I love those colors. Pretty.

Loving your video. 😂Italian coasters😂 You are a brave woman admitting to your UFOs!
Thank you! I had to admit it, I’m not perfect. 😉
I discovered your channel 1 hour ago and I've fallen in love with it!
Can you please teach us how to knit a book cover?
I like that bamboo blanket when you get around to it!

Hi @KLine-aka-Kathy! GREAT advise! Thank you! ✨🌺🪻
I'm now up in the middle of the night sorting wips😂

At our senior center, in the craft room and quilt room, we label them PHD-projects half done!
Finish the sweater. It is lush.
Forget the bag, make the heart into a pillow. The bag would be cute but the pillow you can snuggle up to!
Put Gramma's dress in a lovely shadow box, hang it up & enjoy it everyday!
You should do a video of reclaiming the yarn from the projects. Picking out knots. Using the ball winder to kind of harvest the yarn and reclaim it. And then restock it on your shelves.
The Christmas Placemat boot was most likely a Christmas Stocking. Could use it to hold cutlery, maybe?
Christmas coasters look Italia n but the placemat is nice
Love the pastel rainbow shawl, it's gorgeous
Oh I am so glad you liked it, @kathleensiegrist2647! Thanks!🌻🌺🌼
I absolutely LOVE the long form videos
I limit my projects to four. I cannot start a project until I finish one. Keeps me focused, but prevents me from getting bored. I currently have a poncho, a blanket and two socks in the needles.
Hang the sweet dress on a small wooden hanger and put in your craft room!
Really enjoyed this today.❤
Oh I am so glad you enjoyed it, @juliestockwell6213!! Thank you! 🌷🌺🌷
Love these. The sweater, the colors are so happy. Maybe crochet it into a Spring or Summer Bag.
That's a great idea, @marieshevlin2181! 👍 Thanks!! 🌺🌼🌸
Dead Bird poncho - reclaim the yarn!
You should frame your Grandma's baby dress that way you can display it and enjoy it. The Dead Bird reclaim the yarn
Lol, watching 16 hours later, I promise i didn't cheat, I'm guessing 50. ❤❤🍁🍁
I think you should keep the magic links glitz because it is such a cool look for some kind of home decor or something!! Those color changes are beautiful ❤
Thank you, @lindsayspoon4783! 🌈🌼🌸
The small Frank pieces can be doll blanket or baby blanket
Oh man, I was sooo close. I thought 55. 🤣
Snowing here in West Virginia, USA.
Hi @tracikaz7376! Thank you! ✨🌺🪻
Maybe you could find a frame and display the little dress coat your Grandma made😊🇦🇺🌍🙏
The Christmas one looks like a water melon to me 🍉
Hi @rozasanchez6884! I know, right? lol Thank you! ✨🌺🪻
One of my goals this year is to finish my secret stitch blanket. I did it in all off-white and just need to join the squares. I got tickled at you pulling yours out. So many of the things that you are keeping I really like and others not so much. Definitely keep the sweater! That is beautiful!
Loved watching this! where did you get your bags from?
The little stocking with the placemat would be cute to hold the cutlery in.
That's a great idea, @emilyburch1855! 👍 Thanks!! 🌺🌼🌸
The blue capelet matches your dress! 👗
Hi @tanyasnethen! Thank you! ✨🌺🪻
Where did you get your bags from? Thank you for showing I’m not the only one who has ufos.
Those project bags are amazing! Where can I get them? They sound sturdy
Did you try blocking out the “dead bird” poncho? Finish the sweater. Love the colors!
The magic glitts rainbow ice yarn is so pretty ít reminds me of Noah and the ark with the rainbow from the Bible
Keep the rose, let the tulip go. Use the heart. Make the eyelash dazzle pillow.
Love the cakes alpaca project and the v-shawl that wraps all the way around. I would really like a pattern for the v-shawl wrap if you have one!
That is a great project! You are going to love it! 🌺🌼🌸
In regard to the Dead Bird Squares, the ones which stick out, could you turn them into a cushion cover? It seems a pity to unravel it, it's such pretty colours.
I love the green blanket that You have there on your left hand side. Is there a pattern for it or a tutorial for it?
I thought Premier had some metallic cotton so I will check that.
I would frog it back and then extend it and make a scarf.
