And for good reason. Movies are made to make money. It isn't a charity. Ideally what the "true fans" want has overlap with what makes money... but being a "true fan" shouldn't be some exclusive club.

David Nelson I hate to agree but artistic movies tend not to make as much money, so studios, and investors, won't take a chance. Look a M Knight Shamalan; not saying all his movies are great but he takes chances and sometimes he strikes gold and makes a movie that people cherish and still watch. The seventies made a lot of good artistic movies, though a lot of those a slow burning dark dramas that aren't for kids, but maybe we'll be able to get back to some good cinema soon. I hope the same for popular music. It would help if we had a society that teaches people to appreciate art and think about stuff instead of this decadent generation thing; people either live to get stuff or wish that they had enough money to do so

I would say that part of the reason it may seem that Keanu had more trouble getting back into the part is that he's at a more somber/depressed place than Alex/Bill and thus more different than his original character. He no longer is wearing happy faces until later in the movie, after he makes peace with his older self and dad. Your interview with Dr. Michalakis was great! I shared it on the Face the Music Facebook group and it was well received. Lots of wonderful stuff on there. Highly suggest joining if you're so inclined.

I enjoyed the movie, too. The finale had me in tears, seeing the whole world united, with music being the catalyst. You should do a piece on that, I know you have touched on it in the past, but, as a musician myself, I thing it could be explored upon more. I don't play for accolades, I am moved and inspired when I see/hear the crowd join in, they have been moved in a positive way. There are many vids showing world wide musical contributions for a final piece, both instrumental and a capella. This link is a favorite of mine, the diversity of the performers and the crowd that got into it is an exemplification of the power of music: PREVIEW

Joe, Soloman came forward and said that the movie was cut. Not all that was scripted made it in the movie. Their were budgetary restrictions and time constraints and it caused a huge portion of the movie to be left in the dust. All involved wanted to give us a much bigger adventure, but they couldn't and gave us this adventure the best way they could. They even had to cut a scene out where Bill and Ted go into the past and meet their younger selves and Rufus. Sad really because I expected more of a tribute to George Carlin.

It seems movies keep getting longer and longer to compete with longer-form storytelling like television and very few movies should run much longer than 90 minutes. They kept everything concise here and it was... well, excellent.

I thought it got a little dark for a bit and it kinda killed my buzz but I still had a most heinous time. Like I was totally digging the wedding song.

You know how the 3rd movie that has so much hype built up that you know it could never meet your expectations?
Well this movie isn't one of them!
    EXCELLENT! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Haven't watched the movie yet, BUT I gotta thank 'Bill and Ted' for driving quite a number of viewers to one particular video on my channel... 😂😂😂
Was scratching my head over the sudden influx of viewers on one of my vids for almost a week, until someone left a comment that said 'I'm here because of Bill and Ted', did some googling and I went 'OOOohhhhhhh..... THAT'S WHY!!'
Will definitely catch the show, if for nothing else, then just for re-living some memories and seeing Keanu in a comedic role again. I do miss his 'Whoa's... LOL

In spite of my horrid, knee jerk, down deep belly cringe reaction to most vids that have a guy who regurgitates facts about science and how it aligns itself to the movie in question. In spite of the fact that you clearly have it in your spectrum to dole out a fact sheet on why all of"these things"in the movie couldn't have possibly worked because SCIENCE. You let your inner fan boy shine. You are entertaining and smart and funny and real. You saw through the veil that hangs there and into the true spirit of the story and you saw that it was a message of hope and a real throwback to what is most enjoyable about its cannon. Good job My friend and... STATION...

    Here is mine.
It was definitely the worst of the three by far, and since it only cost $5 more to buy it than to rent it I now own a movie that I will never watch again.
So disappointed, but my wife was like what exactly did you expect did you really think it was going to be anything different?
    She has a point.

Hey Joe, have you ever watched the series "Taken" made by Steven Spielberg? About UFOs, abductions and so on... Anyway, I always wondered how they made the characters older and so on. If it was CGI or makeup. Because it was REALLY impressive!
Anyway, I remembered about that while watching your video. 😬
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Producers get big credit in hip hop. The Neptunes, Timbaland, Dr. Dre...Quincy Jones makes hole albums wit bangers. Stevie Wonder doesn’t get enough credit hands down best of the 20th century.
