Greg Hardy's "USADA Approved" Moment
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 вер 2024
- In 2019, former UFC Heavyweight Greg Hardy was allowed to use an inhaler during his fight against Ben Sosoli. This mistake left UFC officials and commentators in disbelief. Hardy thought the inhaler was approved for use during fights, but the inhaler was only approved for use while training. Hardy's win would be overturned to a no-contest just hours after the fight. #greghardy #danawhite #shorts #ufc

No they’re all idiots who use emotion instead of logic.
Does an inhaler generally improve a human’s ability to breathe better when out of breath? Is being able to breathe better and have more cardiovascular stamina an advantage in a fight?
No shit it is, and that’s why it’s clearly against the rules. I’m not sure you understand this, but in combat sports you use your cardio incredibly hard. It’s almost like running a sprint almost as fast as you can. No duh he’s out of breath and wants to use an inhaler, it’s not asthma and even if it is asthma, why doesn’t his opponent get the same advantage from a drug that opens up your lungs to breathe better?
Are we going to start using performance enhancing drugs mid sports competition to compensate for a persons medical conditions that effect their performance?
@markcurry3083 You're clueless.... the inhaler doesn't make a person who's out of breath... not out of breath. That has to do with heart rate and muscle fatigue... being tired and out of breath is 100% different.. then your cardiovascular muscles in your lungs closeing... If you're running and getting a good work out... and become "winded".. taking an inhaler puff doesn't make you not winded anymore..... that would be a fucking miracle... and should be looked at by entities from different dimensions.... an inhaler is just like someone who has diabetes... or heart problems or..... any other medication that helps with a disease... I'm 100% sure that any UFC or boxer.. or any other athletes in this world have sone type of medication to help with some type of body ailment..... I'm not going to argue about this any further... As someone who uses an inhaler once you take a couple of puffs it actually increases the heart rate requiring to use more oxygen! But as the lungs may not be able to take a full capacity of air you are actually at a disadvantage. So there is no advantage to using a inhaler as it only helps alleviate the symptoms of shortness of breath.
