quick question..im bidding a 4 story 54 unit complex for the first time as a business...(we have done buildings this big before but not with my business) im at 139k sq ft...i've run numbers by price per sq ft....man hours...paint usage...im starting to get similiar numbers when trying to nail a good number for us and the customer... price per sq ft is 1.05 at almost 150k...all costs come to about 115k...35k is a good "profit" no?
It depends on a few factors. How long is it going to take? $35,000 in 2 months is much better than $35,000 in 4 months. You’re sitting at a 30% profit and a 23.3% profit “margin”. When I did commercial we aimed for 20-30% profit, so you’d be dead on, but we also did tons of volume (13M a year).
@@TheEasiestBusiness I am bidding it for 120 days since they dont want an army of painters onsite. They are ok with having us onsite for a extended time. By these numbers, i know we can apply more than 6.5 a day. So that's the "cushion" I've seen you talk about. Does the 150k estimate sound right?
