I just went to the DD Hammocks website. You are correct that you are showing a Travel Hammock & not the Frontline Hammock. But the difference between the two is that the second layer of the Travel Hammock is waterproof while the second layer of the Frontline is described only as “breathable.” But they are essentially the same hammock. The same goes for the DD Nest Hammock. It is a Frontline with the mosquito net replaced with solid material.
It's not me who made the separate products, but I agree they are very similar. I guess if you really want to use the hammock on the ground a lot the waterproof base makes sense, but for most cases it makes it heavier and bulkier.
@@exploringyourself nice mate, iv just sold my frontline hammock from dds and iv bought the Kompound from one Tigris ... im currently in the process of speaking with one tigris about them manufacturing a multicam or camo kompound hammock... But like you said your is a beast and it does beat it hard ... dd hammocks nearly put me off hammock camping and im so surprised how good one tigris are considering its a chinese make ... Puts DDs to shame really I was camping out other weekend in my Frontline and not only did it fail and i fell in the middle.of the night, the rope they use cuts into the tree causing massive damage and iv highlighted this too them and they didnt seem bothered which shows alot considering one tigris actually have a department that deals with gear requests and their customer service is off the chart Also nice content mate new sub here deffo 💪💪
@@RoughWalkers I haven't seen that one but it looks similar to the Bushmen! I really dig the style. I sold the DD about a year ago. Just haven't gotten to making other hammock reviews yet 😊😊
I respectfully disagree. The cheaper models have two straps on each end that go around the tree, sure they're not a tree hugger but they work fine. I'm a scout leader and we have about 20 of the lower cost DD hammocks and tarps, I've taken our scouts on many a hammocking trip in the woods and the DD products have not let us down once. The scouts use them so much - they prefer hammocking to camping now. I just bought the super light jungle hammock and that does come with tree huggers, carbine clips, the full lot!
Good review. Very clear instructions.
Thank you! It's my first outdoor gear review but I believe there will be more of this! :)
Wow Very Nice Video Dear Good Job 👌👍 Beautiful ❤️

Thank you so much! Glad you like it!! :)
This is a DD Frontline Hammock in a Travel Hammock bag. I have been using the Frontline since 2019.

@@exploringyourself its 80g difference. You probably couldn't even tell the difference between 80g when its on your back in your pack.
Rather i mean when comparing it to my other hammocks, it's double the weight.
Use the frontline XL for many years... can't go wrong with DD
Good quality at good price but slightly too heavy and bulky imo
@@exploringyourself use in months in a row, so I go for bombproof.
Ciao,colonna d'acqua?
Don't know!
DD hammocks are the worst ones on the market dont even come with tree huggers or clips 😅
I totally agree on this.
I currently use Cocoon and Bushmen Vagabond. They beat DD so hard it's unbelievable. 😊
