If Haley were a superstar, she'd be singing the same crap as the other superstars. then there's the producer, the record label and the management who do market analysis for you on how best to sell you and you sell the most when you make undemanding music. Fast food for the ears. look at Lady Gaga, actually an amazing voice and then listen to the crap at her concerts. Haley is known enough to make good money and unknown enough to play what she enjoys. besides, the majority of their numbers are cover versions, so even if they're awesome, they won't get you to the top.
there is this Spanish band called sant Andrew band they hard core jazz lovers and they also do cool renditions of bossa nova clasics. I have dreamt of them having a collaboration with Haley but alas it was just a dream. I wish I would dream of it again hopefully.
I think the acoustics in those huge stadiums suck so bad anyway. This version is so awesome. I have the version she sells as a solo track with the high school jazz band - with the sax solo dominating - it's not as good as this small venue recording. oops - just posted this above. hahaha.

Haley and James got robbed, so, I'm waiting 10 years to see Haley live, finally, April 4, 2020 I have tickets to see her in Boston....April 1st, covid cancels the show. Outside of Lzzy Hale, I think Haley is the most talented female vocalist because she can really do it all from a technical standpoint.

Haley is an excellent performer who sings extremely well . She’s also a great performer who will never have to take of her clothes to deliver a tremendous performance anywhere. She just has pure talent that needs no exotic behavior. Just so greatly talented .
Go see her in concert. She sounds so much better live, you won't believe it. On UA-cam, virtually every one of her performance videos has very substandard audio. Not to mention that she also often appears over weight, but that's an illusion caused by camera distortion.
Haley is the best, the very best performer active or retired. I only hope I can live long enough and can find the resources and venue to see this goddess perform live some day.

She was on American Idol but didn’t make it. I thought her voice was better than the two who won. The two winners had very generic country voices. She and Jacob Lusk were my favorite from the season. Pia Toscano was good too.

Had American Idol only permitted "one vote per individual voting", as opposed to "almost unlimited power voting", Haley would have easily won the show.
Haley praised Adam Lambert and Siobhan Magnus and I would have loved to have seen her sing with Adam. I didn’t care for the two who won. The boy especially. The girl who won is an actress now in Hallmark movies.
Still better than the original but I will say I wish someone had turned the metronome up about 15 to 20% because if only for the sake of the horns and drums and as when they are too slow they almost sound stale or drugged. In which case you would have been better off just with a piano and her voice
I think that's the goal - to push it as slow as possible. Is it 60 bpm? that's ideal for secret reasons. For example 2nd movement of Bach's Italian Concerto is played very slow by Glen Gould - best version! Most people play it too fast.
